High Third

I know it isn't for everyone, but I love the small bites. It's nice to be able to try several things & not be stuffed beyond belief- it also allows for great pacing, to enjoy your time.

Service is always friendly, though not always fast... but fast isn't what you're here for anyway.

All of our mon-dessert foods have been great. The only dessert we've had is the cheesecake & I can't recommend it. It's wet & way too close to buffet/cruise ship styling. I'd probably take it off the menu or revamp it completely.

All in all, we enjoy stopping in.

This was a great place to visit in Minot! The decor is really fun, the space is clean and the food is well priced and good! We had the Yellowstone and Philly of the north poutine, as well as the millennial, Baja, and KBBQ tacos, and the cheesecake for dessert. The food was a little cold when it arrived to our table and the cheesecake felt a little doughy but other than that everything was great! The staff is friendly and gave great recommendations.

High Third was a delightful surprise to find in Minot. My husband and I are in town from Houston visiting family and this is exactly what we were looking for! The vibe, the food, the service - all on point. We are already planning our next visit.

Now for the details. Our server, Blue, was beyond friendly and informative. He walked us through the menu with enthusiasm, explaining how everything worked and some fan favourites.

If you caught the Canadian spelling back there you know it was an absolute must for me to order poutine. We order the traditional style delicious mess and the mac & cheese it. We loved how they mixed it up by lightly dredging and frying the cheese curds, an ode to the area and a tasty twist. The stout gravy on the delicious mess was TO DIE FOR!

The tater hotsy-tots soup was layered with flavour, thick and creamy with their homemade black garlic truffle tater tots. We both enjoyed the TLBC taco, fresh ingredients with the perfect proportions. I ordered the Baja taco as well and it was saucier than I would like but still good. Initially we only ordered one Mc Lovin' dipper and as soon as it arrived we ordered three more, we knew this would be a hit. I'm very eager to try some of the other dippers on the menu.

As we finished out our meal and were getting ready to call it Blue was back with his smooth talking menu descriptions for the desserts. I swore I was full but I just couldn't say no to the Saskatoon, two cheesecake bars with a Saskatoon Berry sauce. It was definitely worth it, Blue was right.

The space itself is stunning, three levels of fun beautifully decorated. We look forward to enjoying our next meal on their spacious rooftop patio. It's wonderful to see a restaurant embracing the history of Minot and revitalizing the downtown area. This Canadian girl was so thrilled to come across an American-Canadian fusion gastropub.
