After the long wait, it's finally open! They did an amazing job! The first parking lot is the same and I could see an additional parking lot on the other side of the building. When you first walk in, the snack booth is on the left and in front of you is a splash pad. Then a long, I guessing high school meet qualifying laned swimming pool! Three water slides, one cover, one open and the third let's you race an opponent for time! The toddler area looked pretty cool, plenty of stuff to play with. They is also a lazy River! During our visit, I saw three different sets of bathrooms around the area. Over all , I was VERY pleased with our visit. It's $10 high point residents and $15 I believe for everyone else.

I've meant to review this park for a long time because it is absolutely beautiful and a wonderful spot to take the family! The park appears clean, and there is a carousel, mini train ride, and boat tour around the lake available. I especially liked the boat ride, which was serene. The kids enjoy the playgrounds here, which are expansive in size and structures with lots to do! The pool area looks stunning from the outside, but I have not been in it myself as of yet. My daughter went to the wading pool and enjoyed it, but apparently the splash pad is only for ages 6 and under? That has me scratching my head some, but the pool looks impressive in any case. Worth checking out for a low cost way to spend a pleasant day outdoors!

A really nice park to go for lake activities, and especially for gatherings/events. This park should actually be more packed than it should. There are at LEAST a dozen of the picnic table/event areas that you can reserve - all open space and outdoor, fairly clean and nothing to be broken of any sort.
Rentals include fishing boats, paddle boats, paddle boards, kayaks, canoes, and even a tour boat. - all fairly and reasonable prices (I do know they kayak is $12/all day). The staff is very knowledgeable and safety is priority. They provide the paddles, life jackets, and whatever else equipment you need.
Many trails are attached to this park and some are actual very delightful to hike. Not strenuous at all and for the most part, the trails encircle the lake.
Summertime there are rides like the train as well as concessions. The biggest thing I wish they had/updated are their bathrooms...definitely not the cleanest and I wish there were more around the park.Helpful 3Thanks 1Love this 3Oh no 0 - Dana H.Randleman, NC155107167Jun 27, 2021
This park is gem tucked away just inside of Jamestown. It boasts a miniature golf course, a train ride, a carousel, a playground, horseshoe pits and, coming in the summer of 2022, a ginormous public pool that includes giant slides! There are also plenty of picnic shelters located all over the park that can be rented out for parties, etc. Benches are sprinkled all over the property that are perfect for people watching (or just to get out of the sun and take a break). The park's concessions stand doesn't have a ton to offer, but it has enough to satisfy ( hot dogs, pop corn, pizza, ice creams, candy, water, canned sodas, slushies).
It's a perfect place to spend an afternoon out with the kiddos!Helpful 3Thanks 1Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jasmine L.Signal Hill, CA43813Jul 8, 2021
Great park for the family. So many activities to do there such as kayaking, fishing, miniature golf, boat & train rides. There's also carousel and playground for the kids. It feels so nice, calm, and peaceful to be on the train ride with the breeze and seeing all the greens and lake. They also sell food and drinks there as well. Plenty of parking. I highly recommend this park. I would come here often if I live close by.

I've been coming to this park ever since I was a little kid and now at almost 37 years old I'm here fishing with my husband. It's still a nice little park and I look forward to seeing how everything looks when the pool construction is finished. The bank fishing is good here and small boats are allowed. I like there is lots of room for bank fishing and they also have a pier if you are into that . Watch out for the turtles when fishing though I brought one in on my line lol

We have coming here for a couple years now and until today I probably would have given 5 stars. Today however was so upsetting to the entire family that honestly there's no way I can give five stars. If I knew it was a one time scenario there would be some leniency but I'm sure it's not.
We have visited the park a couple times but most of our time spent here is at the pool. The pool is very large and kid friendly. Though it would be nice to have a baby pool, splash pad, or some type of fountain style attractions, there is still plenty of space for the little ones to play. Though they are usually crowded, they aren't over crowded except on holidays.
There is also 2 giant water slides that are always useable, even during pool breaks. The one thing I don't like about pool breaks is that even adults aren't allowed to swim. Some adults prefer to only get in during that 15 minute period so they aren't disturbed by all the kids.
There is a concession stand and the pricing and food are reasonable. I've never had an issue with the lifeguards being over authoritative like at other pools. The last time I was there, I actually witnessed 2 saves and it was very intense but handled with excellence.
The pool opens at 11am and 10 on Saturday. Unless I use a vacation day, Saturday's are the only day I can take my family. So what happened today? We arrived at 9:50am and there was an individual at the gate which was unusual. As we pulled in, she asked why we were there and I said for the pool. She stated that the Park was reserved and was not open to the public. Wait, WHAT? It's a public park. I understand it's about money but the one day this should not be allowed is a Saturday. This event was not listed on their website nor was it stated that they were to be closed. We do live 15-20 minutes away so this is more than an inconvenience.
Anyway, she directed us to another pool that was about 10 minutes away. After looking online, it said they opened at 10:15, so decided to try it. We went but when we arrived, got all the kids out, loaded up and walked to the pool, we seen a sign that read that don't open till noon. Ugh. So then we loaded back into the car and googled again. We found High Point Water Park and decided to go there. This is NOT a water park. It's a pool in a run down neighborhood. The fence surrounding this pool is rusted and looks unstable. The parking is in a yard and the entire place looks run down. So this is a NO! By this time it's already 10:45 and we have driven over 30 miles and have nowhere to swim.
Needless to say we ended up in Summerfield at another place we used to go and spent the day there.
As I previously stated, this should've never happen on a Saturday and if it did there should be some type of notification on their website. This is poor judgement on behalf of Park staff and officials.

My daughter and I live in VA, but we have been coming to this park with my parents who live in the area. I think it's amazing to provide space for families to fish, bbq, and gather together. Tickets for carousel ride, train ride, and boat ride are so cheap.
There's also an amazing playground for little kids to bigger kids. I highly recommend this place for families. I have yet to come here to swim in that water area, but it looks super cool from the outside.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sharon P.NC, NC9412131Jul 1, 2019
We are lucky to have this entertainment in the Triad. The pool is affordable with awesome slides. (Warning: you have to take a rest break every hour, and that's just annoying!)
There is a train and carousel for the little ones, and a play area for some free fun also!
Recently, my family took the boat ride around the lake and that was super cool. Definitely worth a weekend visit for affordable fun for the whole fam.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - M M.High Point, NC031Jun 12, 2019
If you've never done it, go rent a kayak and spend a few hours paddling around the lake. Enjoy the rich wildlife. Some things I saw on my last kayak trip: an eagle, about 20 blue herons, a thousand turtle, and a huge catfish jumped right out of the water in front of my boat.
There's no excuse. Get out and have fun.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
