I'm glad we bumped into this store while looking for a particular brand of puppy food that the bigger named stores do not carry. The staff here are very friendly and helpful. They also offer military discount, which was really nice.

We will be back.

Just love this store! It is like a smaller, more community-oriented version of a big box store. They carry everything you need, and while I've found their prices to be just a tad ($0.50-$1.00) above the chain store, I prefer to shop here. They're local, they support and employ local, and they put on fun events like "Spring Babies," where they bring in baby llamas, goats, chicks, ducks, etc.

We're always greeted warmly and helped with our purchases. I love that the staff will just chat with you about your chickens, garden, mouse problem...whatever you need. They're all very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about their products. They also carry Scratch and Peck feed, which I prefer for my pets, because it is all organic and whole grain.

They have a huge selection of bird feeders and bird seed, chicken feed, gardening supplements, and they carry clothes and even horse products as well. We mainly go there for hay, straw, pine shavings, and chicken supplies. We did purchase 2 bantam chicks last week and they are super healthy and doing great! Their chicks look so much healthier than at Wilco or other places. I used to be so sad looking at the tanks at other stores, because the chicks were pathetic. But at High Desert they're all running around and chirping and strong.

They also now carry a whole line of bee keeping products.

Overall, this is our favorite feed and supply store (my husband also appreciates the free popcorn!).

Always helpful and ready to go the extra mile for customer service. For a smaller sized store they have a great selection of products as well. Give them a call or drop by and you won't be disappointed!

I get all my chicken stuff here. I love that they keep record of my items, will grab everything and load it into my car.
I needed some parts to fix my gate and they took the time to walk me through all the pieces, how they go together and even ran into the back to grab a used smaller part they had leftover so I didn't have to buy a new one. (WHAT! Who does that awesomeness anymore?!?)
My family loves the mini events they have once in a while, baby animals meet and greet.
I've never had a bad time here.

I am so happy I found this outdoor store! I have a posse of deer that have been wreaking havoc on my newly planted trees in my front yard. I knew I needed some advice and supplies, so I headed to High Desert Ranch & Home. Mike and Libby were so helpful in sharing their knowledge with me and sharing solutions that will solve this problem. I bought some supplies there to deter the deer.....fingers crossed!
I really appreciate how friendly these employees were. On another occasion, I stopped in and Judd was also super helpful as I had questions about bird houses and whether I should clean them out. He was great as well! I am happy I can support an awesome local business. I have, and will, be back.

This is my go to place for my wild bird, chicken, sprinkler, pet treats, storage bins, gardening tools, you name it these guys have it and it is excellent quality! Their knowledge and friendly attitude is worth the stop always. I have always gotten my spring chicks here over the years and have never had an unhealthy bird. I recommend this store to any and everyone, conveniently located too! I also love their gift cards :-)
