This place holds such great memories for my family and I!! Came back today after years when I used to come all of the time in high school for birthdays and events. It's just as tasty as I remember!! The chicken has so much flavour and I always love the soup too.
Everyone who works there is very very nice and always super attentive. I never mind driving a little bit out of the way to come to dinner here.
This is a great hibachi spot in the area and I highly recommend it.Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Dec 4, 2023
Very enjoyable place to have group dinners. The staff were all friendly and attentive. The salmon, steak, shrimp and scallops were all delicious. I think there minor details that can use updating but overall it's a great locals spot for teppanyaki.

This is the easiest 5 stars I've ever given and I hardly ever do. The filet at Hibachi is one of the best steaks in OC. We go to Hibachi with a very large group at least once a month. You get a free meal on your birthday, the fried rice is excellent, as are the soup and salad. Service is 5 stars. Drinks are refilled very fast and the staff is always anticipating your needs without being in your face. Kids love it too. It's also very reasonable for the quality and entertainment value. I really hope it stays consistent as it has for us for many many years.

Hibachi Steakhouse has turned into our favorite place to go whenever we're craving hibachi.
My boyfriend has gotten me back into enjoying hibachi steakhouses. His favorite growing up was a pretty well known place that tends to have long wait times and long shows before you even get your food, which in my opinion tastes pretty mediocre. I was skeptical about trying this place out, but I'm a fan!
Reservations are not that difficult to get on week nights. Our party was able to make reservations the day of, which is shocking considering how small the place is. We've also visited without making reservations (also on a week night) and we were seated right away. A huge plus!
Dishes are reasonably priced, especially for the amount of food you get: soup, salad, veggies, fried rice, your selected protein/combo, bean sprouts. Everything is cooked in front of you aside from the soup and salad.
The mushroom soup has great flavor. It's the perfect portion size to start your meal off and it's also served pretty warm (I think it could be served hotter). Their salad with their ginger dressing is delicious. It's unfortunate that my last experience had almost frozen-like pieces of salad.
For protein, I highly recommend their steak as it's SUPER tender. I've paired their steak with either their calamari (tender & delicious!) or their scallops (fresh & perfectly cooked).
As far as them cooking in front of you, I'm a huge fan of how they don't put on a show to drag out your meal. There's no egg shell/hat tricks, no spatula tossing tricks and no corny jokes. They confirm your order, confirm how you like your meats cooked, cook your food in front of you and they clean up.
Service is extremely friendly and quick. You can enjoy a delicious and filling meal within a reasonable time. We will be back!Helpful 8Thanks 1Love this 8Oh no 0 - Jenifer Z.San Francisco, CA1152175254Mar 3, 2024
Better than Benihana's! The service is awesome and fast. The music is good and easy access to parking. Fresh food and good prices

we went there tonight for Valentine's Day and it was very nice. The food was great and Benny the chef was outstanding, a great personality and did a great job cooking the food. Can't wait to go back.

Well this was my first time here and I was greatly disappointed. First off, we made a 6:00pm reservation and our party wasn't called for 40 minutes. What is the point of making a reservation? Second, the chef at our table, To y, was quiet and serious the whole time. No entertainment, engaging, fun that made our time memorable. The table next to us had a chef making a heart out of rice, made it beat, made a train, volcano, and was flipping food all over in a fun fashion. We didn't get that at all. It is definitely noisy and hard to carry on a conversation with those at your table the food was tasty but heavy on the sodium. Won't be back. Not worth the money.

My family has a monthly get together and we decided to eat at the Hibachi steakhouse. What a great choice. The food was delicious and it was very reasonably priced. We only had one problem: the room was a little loud. Still, I am glad that we went. You should try it out.

The food is bland, and catered to a certain demographics. Was really bummed when our chef couldn't even do a tiny fire volcano out of the onions, steam only.
We had a reservation for a party of six and waited 20 minutes to be seated. Glad they were able to squeeze us in last minute. Our waiter was very attentive, and tolerated our loud group.. The chef made the most out of our experience and was entertaining. Recommend for a group of people, fun atmosphere.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Roger B.Brea, CA124221193Jan 8, 2024
Took my son for his birthday over the weekend with some of his friends. Most of us thought the food was pretty good. The cook prepared everything nicely and efficiently. Prices were reasonable. The waitress took very good care of us. The only thing is they the cook really didn't put on much of a show. I noticed none of them really do. Which was slightly disappointing as that is one of the main reasons my son wanted to go. Good place to eat but lacked a bit in the showmanship.
