I have been using Nettalk for 10 years and I see all the bad reviews here and that concerned me when I had to contact them for a little help, I thought I was going to have a problem, but I didn't have any problem using the chat.
It was with Joanne, she gave great customer service, I hope they keep her and I hope I get her if I ever need help again.
I also never had a problem with the service, it works great, that doesn't mean other people didn't have a problem, but I use the original DUO and it's works great for me, I'm surprised that little box has made it this long.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Lee S.San Francisco, CA02Apr 25, 2024
Customer since 2013. Signed up for auto renewal with guaranteed lock in price. 11 years later the locked in price with autorenewal was 'disenrolled' and yearly fee dramatically increased. Norman says "Sorry, we can't help. The prices have already been imposed" I never disenrolled autopay. Another word 'guarantee' has no meaning in the American language.

Great service if you need a place-holder for a phone number or a dial tone with sporadic outbound or inbound calls.
Otherwise, it's utter trash. Be advised.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - John V.Albany, NY07Aug 4, 2021
This company has me amazed they are still in operation. I used them years ago and they have zero support, they don't respond to service issues and only want to keep charging you for service not provided.
Stay away from these losersHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Veronica M.CA, CA01Jul 31, 2022
Garbage. I've been a customer for over ten years. It has a terrible lag, but I've tried to work with it.
It's recently failed to receive incoming calls, and now won't allow outgoing calls (even to 911!)
Avoid.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 33167154Feb 26, 2021
I have been using NetTalk for at least 7 years with the Duo II adapter and it is the cheapest option if you pay annually. To be honest the quality is so so. Sometimes the calls ring right through and the voice quality is good on my Vtech phones. But other times I have had the call drop or an incoming call not ring at all. I use the android app as well, but again most calls will go to voicemail before they will ring on my mobile phone. The best reason for owning this VOIP service is that you can make local voip calls from anywhere in the world as if it was a local call in your own country. This alone is worth the annual cost. Have uses it from 4 continents and although you may have to reconnect sometimes, the call quality is good enough (with 4g).

Do NOT use NetTalk. There are no real LIVE people to resolve your issues. I have been trying (from 2-17 to today, 3-26-19) to get my number back and no one will respond to me or my new landline carrier. I am frustrated! I haven't been able to use this service for several months now and I hate to change my number when so many people have this one. (Plus it ends in 0003 - so easy!)
I wish NetTalk would up their game and play fair. They have over 100 complaints with the BBB. No resolutions.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - And Then T.San Diego, CA52143181May 31, 2020Updated review
Total fraud now! My phone is paid in full and my service is completely off! This company will charge you to port your number, but they don't tell you you are not even on your own number account.
You CANNOT port your number to another carrier until you get permission! If you are under the impression you will have access to T-Mobile customer service, WRONG!
Nettalk Connect has THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!! This feels like a Russian scam job! There "customer service" number is some sketchy girl's personal cell phone number. She claimed she didn't work for Nettalk connect but then kept asking if I wanted to "buy a line" So freaking weird!
HORRIBLE COMPANY!!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0May 15, 2020Previous reviewABSOLUTELY ABSURD: Nettalk is a T-Mobile resale, aka third party vendor that sells services not in your name. You CANNOT have your services repaired or even review your own account with your carrier! NETTALK is a sham business with ZERO customer service. They have looped "chats" that ask for phone numbers to phones not working! They NEVER call back! They advertise free international services, LIES! Services do not work in Canada, nor Mexico without major interventions

I Bought a Unit with a Lifetime Plan. Well the device started not working correctly, I Contacted support and then answer was totally disappointing....
Truly sorry about this.
As much as I want to replace the TK6000, we can't. Since we do not have any TK6000 available.
Don't ya think that lifetime was as along as you had a device of theirs?
NOPE....
The TK6000 has a lifetime plan. The lifetime works as long as the device is working. HA! HA!

Lifetime plan on your TK6000

LIFETIME PLAN TK6000
The lifetime works as long as the device is working. If the device breaks then the plan will also be lost. The lifetime plan only qualifies for TK6000.
If your Tk6000 breaks you may upgrade to a DUO which will give you access to the new DUO features, however the plan would be changed to an annual Basic Plan.
Very Disappointing...Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Carley H.Mount Juliet, TN0212May 23, 2018Updated review
Update: It's now a year later . . . and, yes, I did renew for another year. The fax began working (I really think the problem was on their end, not mine) and is ok now. However, they now charge for you to block phone numbers. This used to be free for 10 numbers, but now when you delete one of your blocked numbers in order to add/change another, you "lose" the free blocking item. So if you have 10 numbers blocked (from long ago when it was free) and you try to erase one to update it, you will end up with 9 blocked numbers. I emailed them and they DID reply saying "sorry - can't help you."
They never did reply to my service ticket submitted over a year ago regarding fax service.
When renewal time came up, I spent time reviewing other options such as Magic Jack, Ooma, etc. They all had cons, too, so decided it was easiest to just try another year. So here I am. Like I say, it works most of the time.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Apr 11, 2017Previous reviewDone with NetTalk forever . . well, almost.
Have used them for two and a half years. Calls do drop at times (maybe once every 20 calls), but now the fax feature does not work. Opened a service ticket about it 4 weeks ago and no reply.
Sad part is you have to pay in advance with no refunds. I'm paid for 9 more months, unfortunately.
I would NEVER recommend this service as your main phone line - only as secondary system and not for faxing.
