About the Business
Business owner information
Len B.
We import gourmet coffee and tea from Southeast Asia, Central and South American, and the Philippines. We carry the world's rarest coffees, true Vietnamese coffee, and exotic species like Liberica. Our location is not a coffee shop; we are online merchants who are happy to entertain customers at our physical location, with samples and information about some of the world's most unique coffees and teas. Call for more information or after-hours times. We have coffees that are affordable for everyone, as well as expensive one-of-a-kinds. Range: from $8.50/lb to $18/lb for 95% of our coffees. 100% Direct Trade, safe and sustainable coffees.

Coffee is great. Customer service is terrible. Doesn't respond to emails. I wish there was another place to get some of the offerings they have.

Offers a dynamite variety of imported and home roasted coffee beans (and ground as well) from a modest business in Medford; Len is a most well versed aficionado of international coffees and generous with his knowledge and suggestions. Service is quick and direct both from online sales and for we long time customers who stop by to pick up a pound. NOTE: it is NOT a coffee shop but a boutique coffee distributor whose offerings are wonderful coffee which can be hard to find. Check out their website; stop by for a quick chat; stock up on some great beans for your morning or evening brew!

We're spoiled... it is now rare that we find coffeeshop coffee that is better than at home. Since we are local, we drop by to pick up our orders ... Len is always happy to talk about coffee, bring out something new to try, etc. They also opened a little coffee to go place across from the West Medford train station if you need something quick! Highly recommend!

Amazing coffee but horrible customer service. Ordered coffee a week ago and have not gotten an email about shipping yet.
"We ship over 90% of orders by the following business day" straight from their website and is not true. Again it has been a week since ordering. And no one has responded to my emails yet.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aimee M.Redlands, CA182123May 4, 2022
I've been ordering from Len's coffee for so long I can't even remember how many years. Len's coffee is actually the only place I buy coffee from. Customer service is top notch and I always receive my orders quickly. I highly recommend this business.

We recently found Len's Coffee as a source for Vietnamese coffee. We live in Philly but get the coffee shipped from Len's by ordering on their website. All shipments have been correct, easily tracked, and prompt.
The coffee is great and their bean/ground varieties are some of the widest choices I've seen available online. We plan on being long term customers.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Pablo S.McKinney, TX02Nov 9, 2022
Len's Coffee is sooo good, it is worth trying all of them. Since January 2020 I have tasted 273 coffees from 38 countries roasted by roasters in California, Texas, Alabama, Georgia, Montana, and Massachusetts. Len's Coffee is one of my all-time favorite roasters and Len's roasts several of my all-time favorite coffees, especially the Marrakesh Espresso, the Dalat Vietnamese Blend, the Saigon Espresso #2, the Ethiopia Kembata, the Dark & Stormy... and the list goes on. Have tasted many of Len's coffees and my goal is to taste them all. Pro tip - also check out the Sale Page - always great deals there to try new coffees in addition to the favorites.

Everything you want from a place to buy your green coffee beans: detailed tasting notes, ethical sourcing, high-quality beans, and prompt shipping. I think they got my order in the mail the next day! The only thing that would make them better is if they were also able to develop some relationships with growers in Ethiopia and Kenya (my favorite locations for coffee beans), but with their thoughtful and principled approach to sourcing, I can respect how this may take time.

Soooo good. Great variety. Everything I've tried I've loved. I recently moved to Boston area after living in a neighborhood of mostly european immigrants in queens and the French concession of Shanghai. I have always drank locally roasted coffee. This takes the cake, for best quality of beans, most variety, and best roasted.

For the same price as the psuedo fancy coffees and teas that you can buy at Target, you can get some GENUINE fancypants coffee and tea stuffs at Heirloom Coffee. Why buy the stuff that's one step up from Folgers when you can get "a fabulous mix of high-altitude, shade-grown Robusta Peaberry, Dalat Bourbon Arabica, and rare Excelsa beans"? Fancy. pants.
I bought the Indochine Gold blend for $6.50. This stuff is Vietnamese coffee and therefore, according to the very knowledgeable owner, has low acidity and bolder, richer flavors than your average American blend. I also bought some wonderful teas: jasmine, lotus, and even artichoke ($3.95, $2.95, $4.75). And some chocolate covered coffee beans ($5.95).
The best part was when the owner came out with a vat of tea from the back that had been brewing for a couple hours; a big brown blossom bobbed in the glass container holding the tea. It looked like an upside down water lily. It was beautiful albeit kinda alien; I bet it would scare children if used as a center piece (as suggested by the owner).
He let me try it; it was delicious! Very floral and not bitter despite sitting for over an hour.
The place itself is not really set up as a retail store and more as a front for their online store. You need to ring the doorbell to be let in. They do sell mostly Vietnamese coffee and green or herbal teas of which there's only a shelf or two of merchandise. The owner is amazing, and I am so happy that he gets to work on his life's passion.
Note: I know nothing about coffee, and it was obvious. The owner never made me feel like I ought to know anything more than what I know. He just wanted to share the joy he has for the drinks he sells. When I need coffee and tea, I will order from Heirloom Coffee.
Disclaimer: I bought a Groupon now deal where I got an AMAZING deal, but I would gladly have spend the prices listed above (the regular prices are listed) for what I bought.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0
