    • Q:

Why does the Hotel add a $29 resort fee per day, instead of including it in the price? (If you got a prepaid trip by a company, you will have to pay that with your personal card)

      A:

I am not really sure why, but honestly, most of the hotels in SF have an extra fee like this. Maybe it has something to do with a tax?

We stayed in this hotel the weekend after Thanksgiving for a romantic getaway. It is the best place in SF so far for location and service. The only issue was that we booked the City View room online, and when we checked in, the room overlooked the backs of other rooms. I went to the front desk to complain about it. The people at the front desk were very friendly and understood our complaint. Raven at the front desk was very nice and upgraded us to Bayview, overlooking the Bay Bridge, and we absolutely loved it.

A month later (right before the New Year), we went back with the family. Online reservations, 2 rooms, City View, same issue: both rooms were overlooking the backs of the backs of other rooms. I asked to upgrade again; this time, I paid $40 per room for Bayview.
Overall, except for that inconvenience, the experience was great both times; the price was great, the team members were friendly, and the service was great.
I would come back, but I will have to be aware of what I'm getting when I check in.

Another fantastic giants game day with Harbor Court hotel making it extra special. The last two years we've come here for my fiancé's birthday, which happens to be on a Giants game day. Every time, the Harbor Court hotel receptionists have made it extra special by giving us a birthday upgrade to a water view room. There's nothing quite like looking over that view after a long game day. Thank you to those folks that don't hesitate to make it an extra special birthday experience!! You have made two loyal guests!

If you enjoy getting scammed, this is the place. They charged a significant extra for City View, which essentially is looking at another building and a great number of industrial-sized A/Cs (see attached pictures). I don't know what the cheaper rooms with worse view than these were looking at-- probably no windows at all. Overall, this hotel disappointed even my lowest expectations. The service I received made my entire experience disappointing, especially the staffs' lack of willingness to be helpful and forthcoming; they were barely doing their minimum. So, find somewhere else to stay, because this hotel is not worth $600+ per night I paid, and also not $150.

I stayed at The Harbor Court Hotel late last year. This is a stunning boutique hotel on the San Francisco waterfront, featuring unobstructed views of the bay, the Bay Bridge, and Treasure Island. The hotel is adjacent to a state-of-the-art YMCA (open to guests), and the Harbor Court Hotel is within easy walking distance of the Ferry Building Marketplace, the Financial District, AT&T Park, the Moscone Convention Center, Union Square, and North Beach. The Golden Gate Bridge is around a 20-minutes drive away.

While the rooms are small, they are clean and designed nicely. The rooms reflect a stylish decor with blue and gray tones throughout. All rooms have work desks and nice leather-backed chairs. My room had a not-so-swell view but as my OCA buddy Joyce W. noted in her review on 11/16/22, but we really were not in the room much. I would argue that in the two days, I was in S.F., I was in this room less than 8 hours (yeah, yah gurl was out in dem streets with her crew). The hotel provides breakfast coffee and donuts and unlimited nightly vino (both red and white). This hotel is definitely worth a revisit as it is in a prime location and offers top-notch hospitality. Additionally, this hotel is a great choice for both leisure travelers and business travelers alike. However, as rooms are small, this would not be an ideal choice for those with families.

Harbor Court is one of our go to places for a romantic getaway in the city. The prices can fluctuate quite a bit so look for opportunities when it's a bit slower. We always stay in a bay view room and it's absolutely worth it to sit in bed and look out the window for great views of the bay bridge and all of the ships and sailboats that pass. The rooms are small but very comfortable and the lobby is a great place to sit by the fire and enjoy a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. Also, harbor court is located across the street from the ferry building so there are many food and shopping options very close.

Stayed in a posh hotel with towels so thick I could barely shut my suitcase!

Just kidding. Don't charge me for the towels.

Harbor Court Hotel is the cutest, waterfront, boutique hotel. With amazing sunrise/sunset views of the Bay Bridge and a short walk to the fantastic Ferry Building while also being nestled cozily among other great eateries and bars, I can see why this Embarcadero hotel is so loved. The rooms are on the cozier side which I don't mind. My window view showcased vents and the rooftop so it wasn't as fun but hey, while in SF, you should only be using the room for sleep and to shower anyways. The walls are on the thinner side and if you have my luck, your neighbor will have a baby that enjoys waking up at 3am and 4am and will wake you up as well!

The only complaint I really have is that the heater is super loud. I was torn between sleeping with no heat and freezing in my sleep or turning the heater on and waking up every time it kicks on or off.

The staff here is truly amazing. The guy that worked the front desk on Saturday night was especially kind. Cheers for the vino!

They also have a roaring fireplace which I loved. A fireplace in the lobby is so underrated. As a desert rat, I really enjoyed sitting by the fireplace to defrost. That San Francisco coolness chills me to the bones!

Free morning breakfast of doughnuts and nightly 5PM wine hour in the lobby daily --- AMAZING!

Hotel right on the waterfront in San Francisco near the ferry building. Great location within walking distance to everything.

The rooms are quite small but the staff is extremely attentive / excellent. Love the touches like the donut wall in the morning. Beautiful fashionable, old style lobby.

Bridge is right across the hotel :)

Don't be like me. Be like the cool kids.

I arrived at The Harbor Court after a six-hour flight from the other side of the continent, a lengthy BART ride, and a several-block walk with luggage in tow. I probably wasn't operating with all synapses firing. I rolled up to the doors, only to discover they're locked. Had I gotten the address wrong? No, there's a sign on the side of the building proclaiming the name of the hotel.

Fortunately, after many a befuddled turn, a fellow opened the door for me and asked what I was looking for. I explained I was seeking The Harbor Court and he confirmed I was in the right place. Immediately around the corner, I found the reception counter and was promptly checked in without incident.

Each time I returned to the hotel over the next 24 hours, I experienced the same puzzling scenario: locked doors and no obvious attendant waiting to usher in hotel guests. Eventually, I did figure out that I could swipe myself in with my room key.

It wasn't until much later, upon returning to the hotel with some colleagues who were also boarding there, that one of them pointed out we should turn down Steuart rather than continuing over to Embarcadero. I commented, "Oh, I didn't realize you could enter from this street," which no one seemed to react to (probably out of equal confusion).

As it turns out... the main entrance to the hotel is actually on Steuart, something I would have realized much earlier on had I looked at the address, rather than blindly following the pin on my map. Or, y'know, picked up on the context clues of the locked doors and absent greeters. Oops.

On the upside, I got in many extra steps and maximized my consumption of the beautiful Bay Bridge views.

Aside from my erstwhile meanderings, this was a fine hotel if you're spending the vast majority of your time not in your room. The location isn't far from public transit and near our office in SoMa. That's about all I offer to recommend it.

My room was small to the point where there wasn't space for a workstation. I briefly tried to work on a nightstand while sitting on the bed. It didn't go well. I had a lovely view of a wall... and possibly into other hotel room windows. A colleague spoke about watching TV, but her room setup must have been different from mine. The TV in my room hung above the closet nook, and I would've had to put on my glasses AND perch at the end of my bed to see much. Lastly, my bath towel might have been a cousin to a Brillo pad. I did not lack for exfoliation, and not the good kind.

The most luxurious aspect of the hotel was the Malin+Goetz toiletries. You better believe I slathered that lotion on guuud to make up for taking off extreme quantities of epidermis after every shower.

I stayed at Harbor Court for the past two business trips and both stays have been absolutely remarkable! Luis checked me in in January and Jessica checked me in in February. Both welcomed me with the warmest service and went out of their way to ensure I had the best, most comfortable stay possible. Throughout the stay, they remembered me and smiled and waved as I walked into and out of the hotel. Their service is so memorable that I had to take the time to write this review and will make Harbor Court my priority hotel going forward. I told my coworkers about my experience and all three canceled their reservations at other hotels to stay at Harbor Court. They did not regret it and you won't either! Thank you so much, Luis and Jessica, for all you've done to make my experience so pleasurable.

Side note - the rooms are clean, sophisticated and comfortable. The view is also unbeatable!

I stayed at Harbor Court Hotel during a work trip to SF. It was a great location, walking distance to the office and plenty of coffee shops and restaurants in the area. It's also so close to the water!

Parking in SF is tough, but they have a valet option right outside the hotel and it sounds like metered parking is also available- I opted for the less stressful, but more expensive valet option and I'm happy I did. The valet staff was also really nice and remembered me when I picked up my car at the end of the trip.

From the moment I stepped into the hotel I was welcomed in by staff. I arrived around 8:30am and wasn't expecting a room to be ready until the afternoon, but they were able to get me in a room right away. It was so nice to be able to drop off my things before heading to the office.

The room was nice, clean and comfortable. I wish it had a mini fridge to keep drinks cold, or store some leftovers. I saw it listed on the amenities, but didn't see one in the room (maybe I didn't look hard enough?).

I thought it was a nice touch that they have donuts, coffee and tea in the mornings. I'm not a sweet breakfast person, but I took advantage of the coffee and it was just what I needed in the morning.

If I have another business trip, or even a quick overnight in the city, this will definitely be the first spot I look at for a room.
