Hair Perfection

Been going to this place to get my haircut by Peter for about 5 years. Quick and easy with a good price. Went in the other day and heard Peter retired. Got my hair cut but will miss Peter. Happy Retirement Peter, thanks for the haircuts through the years .

Great haircuts, especially by Tony, and you can't beat the price. One of the only affordable barbers in NoPo.

I've been going here for years to get my eyebrows done couldn't help but notice they don't sanitize their eyebrow tweezers or their clippers I kept noticing that everybody else is getting there eyebrows done and he never wants sanitized any of his tools.

I have been getting my eyebrows here for 7 years and they do an awesome job. I do have a lot of eyebrows so he puts them in the perfect shape. I only go with peter by the way since I trust him only. Not to mention my whole family comes in I moved to Vancouver 5 years ago and still find the time to come to Portland.

Worst service ever gotten. No acknowledgement whatsoever. I told the lady not to cut the top and insisted. I don't understand what part of do not touch the top. Switched blades five times in between. Talking their own language in between. It is the las I am ever going. I wouldn't recommend at all. I'm pissed at the person who recommended this place.

Quality hair cut, exactly what I asked for. Came in for my appointment and was taken care of right away. Highly recommend this place and will definitely be back!

Minus 3 stars because the last time I went in and flinched before she pulled the waxing strip she hit me...no joke open hand swatted my face for moving.

The reason I still have 2*'s is because I am still going back.

This is my new place for a haircut, I've been 3 times. Everything I want out of a barbershop, it's close to my house, never a wait longer than 10 minutes, and it's cheap! $12 for a men's cut. He does a good job. Always listens to what I want done. I used to go to Bishop's which is further away, always has a longer wait, and is more than twice the price!

I was told they we're busy and that the wait would be 30 minutes. After waiting 45 minutes for my sons hair to be cut I was told by the young man who was the only barber at the time that and I quote "His hair already short enough it would be too much work to cut it". I was so surprised by his response that I clarified "So are you saying you don't feel like cutting it?" To which he responded "Yes you come back later it looks good right now he doesn't need hair cut, it's too much work to cut it more". That was the most frustrating experience and terrible customer service. Keep in mind we've frequented this business since before my son was even born. Never again.

I'll start by saying that I got my eyebrows and upper lip waxed for $10 and it looks great. If you're going by strictly price + end result, I would totally recommend. Go forth and look awesome and pay very little. They're definitely my new regular place because those are the exact two factors I care about.

... If you're looking for any amount of comfort or customer service, though, you may want to direct yourself elsewhere. It is worth mentioning that the chair does not recline, so you're literally cranking your head backwards in a salon seat right next to someone getting their hair cut. It is easily the least comfortable I've ever been getting my eyebrows done. I am also vaguely afraid of the chick who did my eyebrows (though without a concrete reason why).

But, hey, I look good and I got to stay within my broke college kid budget, so I'm happy.
