Gymboree is a win for this family. My 7 month old seems to really enjoy being there, even if he's stubborn and doesn't always participate. He loves to watch the other babies and the class instructor, Renee, who is always upbeat and keeps the energy going. It's also nice for me as a stay at home mom just to have a regular reason to get out and about!
They have classes in play, music, art, and others that I'm looking forward to checking out as my baby grows and can become engaged with them. We get a lot out of our membership!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Tiffany N.Morrow, GA436283190Dec 28, 2016
These classes are a great way to bond with your baby and to meet other moms, especially if you're a first time mom like me.
Lisa is the director of this location and is very hands on, and is great communicating via phone or email.
Like for instant, I had a hard time enrolling my daughter in a class around 11 pm and she responded within the hour. Goes to show you that she never stops working to ensure great customer service.
I can't wait to take my little to all her classes.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Merrie C.Lilburn, GA147147Sep 5, 2019
I think we started bringing my daughter here when she was almost one year old. I was recommended to Gymboree by a friend and it was a life-saver for our very active little one. I really can not say enough good things about this place. Marcus is an amazing instructor...there are several others that are good too! We've had two birthday parties here and they let us do the one year old cake-smash. For the next birthday party (at 3 yrs old), they customized an activity to go with my daughters favorite YouTube video at the time (I'm Going on A Bear Hunt). I was very impressed by this. We truly loved our time at Gymboree. We would probably still be going except my daughter reached an age where the only corresponding classes available were all during pre-school hours and it just wasn't feasible anymore. We have great memories and the monthly membership really was a great value if you were using it consistently. My daughter loved, loved, loved it. It really taught me how to play an engage with her in a different way...and my husband learned from this also. I'm pretty shy but I had no issues getting in there and singing the songs and doing the little dances because she loved it so much. I could see the differences in her learning and progress from week to week, and that was awesome to watch. My little one also had a ball obsession at the time, and there were tons of balls for her to squirrel away. They also offer the toys for sale that they use in the games, songs, and activities, and we probably ended up with almost every single toy on the wall at some point (either fortunately or unfortunately depending on who you ask).
The only drawback is that I never really felt a sense of community with the other kids/parents. We saw several of the same kids, but rarely interacted with them in any way that felt anything more than passing by strangers or mild-acquaintances like at a gas station and that you somehow coincidentally ended up singing a song with and ran around in circles with for a few minutes and then returned back to your gassed up vehicles as strangers again.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 313781131Dec 22, 2009First to Review
Thank goodness for Gymboree Open Playtime.
If I was not working full time, I would sign my little one up for a class, but none of the times work with my schedule. HOWEVER, for only $35 a month, you can take your kid to Open Play on Sunday Mornings. It is perfect for us non-church goers. For over an hour let your child run around and have a blast and be ready for nap by 11:45. It is perfect! The instructors are super nice and it is a great way to meet other parents and make friends in the area.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Lori F.Atlanta, GA209371147Jun 27, 2011
Fantastic place where your kid can play with others, work on motor skills, and have a blast with you (yes, parent participation is the point!).
Ms. Megan is our teacher, and she is great. So friendly and helpful, but not in the cheesy/scary/fake way. My daughter was super shy when she started, but now that she's in the toddler group she has done a 180 and has blossomed into a super-confident little girl.
I am so thankful for Gymboree - you guys are awesome!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Hanna W.San Jose, CA03012Apr 3, 2018
Today was my first time here and I am new to Atlanta. I was looking for a play time for my baby and I am also a first time mom. He enjoyed it and the instructor was Chauncey and she was amazing. We became members on our first day free trial. Can't wait to come back tomorrow. My son is 9 months old and will definitely enhance his development. I love it. It's clean and safe. Check it out.

Not a baby, not yet a big girl... if you feel this way about your kid (or your baby is able to at least crawl and the like) Gymboree is a great place for wee kid fun. We have a membership and our daughter has had so much fun on their little play equipment. It's great for kids that are still a bit too small for the toddler playground but ready for a little sliding and tumbling around. It's also great for cold/wet days when a kid needs to blow off some steam and they can't do it outside. If you want to try it out, they will let you try a class or an open gym (what we prefer) so give them a call or look at an online schedule for the Gymboree closest to you.

I can't say enough wonderful things about the staff and activities here. I am a nanny and have been bringing my toddler here for a few months and we look forward to class every week. The staff is friendly, upbeat and knowledgable. It blows my mind how they remember names and specifics about each child. We have had a couple of different teachers and my little guy is partial to Kelsey and Sarafina. The energy those two put into each class is contagious and the kids really respond to them. That being said, all the teachers are fantastic. I can't wait for the new baby to be able to join in the fun!

It was good until 2 weeks in my baby got attacked at familyplay by an unchaperoned older boy, twice he kept following us scratched her till she bleed. It happened so fast. Didn't think anything of it until two mothers instantly approached me and said this boy attacks kids all the time scratching until he sees blood. my baby girl was only 10 months. The teacher showed me the boys older sister, with fresh bloody facial scratches, he scratched her before we came in. Instructor confirmed it has happened before and manger Lisa is aware and does nothing . In disbelief I told Lisa she simply replied saying he is frustrated cause he can't talk. I made a written complaint t to owner through another local location and it was Lisa who called apologizing saying this was the first time it happened. Lies! I complained to California and they said the older sister at 5/6yo was not even allowed at her age. Said they couldn't find the boy in file based on his first name would get back to me and then again nothing. So I never returned. Could possibly be owners relative. Another mom stopped taking her baby too for the same reason.

I am a nanny so I would live here if I could! I look after a 2 year old boy and like most boys he loves balls, climbing things, and just about anything that will scare the crap out of me! We do a play and learn class as well as Art. Both are fantastic. The art class is amazing! 2 projects come home every class. Really cool!
