Absolutely loved it. Came in today 5/11 with my two daughters, and it was so spacious! Great for large crowds, or in my case little ones. We ordered a Chocolate chip scone, and a breakfast samosa, a hot chocolate (loved how the very kind woman that was serving us asked if it was for my daughter; she graciously put an ice cube in it to cool it down) thank you for that! I ordered an extra hot cappuccino. The samosa was yummy and so was the scone. My coffee was perfect. There are many vegan options available, that is always nice to have a variety of options. I also saw a flourless cake! Bonus.
Inside there is a 'Leave One Take One Bookcase'
Those are my favorite! Nothing like a good read while at the coffee shop. My daughter (8y/o) was reading Charlotte's Web, she said next time she will bring a book to leave it ao she can take Charlotte's Web home. There are also many items that look handmade from Kenya for sale; beautiful paintings and woven baskets, as well as purses.
Beautiful little hidden gem; don't let the outside fool you! Service is Exceptional, Food was yummy, and merchandise was unique.
Go and give them a try!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jul 21, 2023
I was so happy to see the Grower's Alliance food truck at the St Augustine Amphitheater last night. As a person who can't drink right now, I appreciated that they had smoothies and coffee available. The smoothie at the venue was $8 (pretty large) and you could choose from mango, peach, passion fruit, strawberry, & wildberry. The smoothie was a bit watery but was perfect for the hot weather. They sells bags of Kenyan coffee and iced coffee from the food truck, as well. We bought two vegetarian samosas (out of the beef pattie samosas sadly) which had spinach, collard greens, and chick peas. It was great and the hot sauce on the side was wonderful! They were only $5 each.
The lovely Kenyan woman running the front was so friendly and answered all our questions. She gave us their business card and I CANNOT wait to go back to their physical location down the street. I'll be trying the iced Kenyan coffee and beef samosa!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Meghan C.San Francisco, CA01Mar 11, 2024
I have been a customer for years and loved the quality and convenience Growers Alliance offered in the coffee products.
Unfortunately, over the last year, customer service has gone downhill. The first delay we experienced was after the shop experienced a fire. We received our order months late with a note explaining the delay.
The delays have never stopped since. My current order for 6 bags of coffee was placed in January! Nothing. No updates.
This will be my last order with this group due to lack of communication and months of delays in order processing.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mikayla R.Argyle, TX40824Jul 14, 2023
Out of this world coffee, food and customer service. The samosa was so good my husband had it almost gone before I could take a picture. We both got iced coffee (amazing) and picked up a drum as a gift for a friend. The man helping us greeted us with a warm smile that radiated joy. Such a great find. Will definitely be back time and time again! Come here! You will not be disappointed.

If you are a coffee connoisseur you need to make this a pitstop. This bean is delicious and those desserts they also offer are pretty amazing to have with a cup. After make sure you grab a bag cause you'll want more later. Service is great and the story behind biz is awesome. I stop when ever in town and take a bag or two home.

What a great treasure in St. Augustine right on A1A !
The owner came here from Kenya to attend college. He went to work for Panera as a dish washer. Saw that Americans loved their coffee and started selling coffee from Kenya at local markets in Jacksonville.
On his way back from a market he passed this place that was for sale at the time and told the owner he wanted to turn his mechanic business into a coffee shop.
And there ya go! A great story! He has been at this location for 5 years and has been selling at markets for 11 years!
The samosas are amazing!! So good! I wanted to go back in and by what they had so that I could take them home with me. But that would not have worked out well.
The coffee was too strong for me. I like a lighter coffee and maybe they offer that, but I didn't think to ask. Everyone has different tastes, so I am not saying the coffee is bad...it was just too strong for taste.
They have a parking lot. Indoor and outdoor dining is available.
Their coffee is organic and free trade certified.
BONUS is that they give back to farmers to improve their standard of living!
It's a feel good but for sure!
I'll be back when I visit St. Augustine.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Chloe C.Dublin, Republic of Ireland256478Jul 27, 2023

This was our very first time here at Growers Alliance Cafe & Gift Shop for a Yelp Elite event. The cafe is big in character with gifts, pastries, coffee, beer on tap, sandwiches/wraps and samosas to pick from.
I ordered the beef samosa and my husband chose the veggie samosa. You can taste the freshness of the roasted coffee. Both iced and hot coffees were good....rich and full flavored! The samosas were also good and flavorful. Of course, the fun didn't stop there! We ordered the banana walnut muffin and a refreshing mango smoothie. I had my heart set on the blueberry muffin but they were out by 4:00.
(*‿*) / ゚゚*:The ambiance is accommodating for friends to get together as there is plenty of parking with an outside patio as well. The cafe was very clean and the 2 young ladies behind the counter were friendly! We will be back in the near future to try other items on the menu.

Parking outside, I was excited for Yelp bringing me here and the Yelp swag & perk I was getting. After entering and seeing the store- then I was really excited about the actual shop! All made in Africa merchandise, coffee & more! I love a good cause, and understand how privileged I am to be born in this country. Buying from a source that makes sure to pay fairly for handmade items from countries in Africa is amazing.
The woven baskets drew me in, I already love things like that anyway! Then I was torn as to what to pick! Meanwhile, I shopped back over to the counter & let the young lady know I was with yelp & got a free coffee & samosa as an Elite perk (feel free to message me if you're interested in this). Plus a free Yelp mug to take home! Yay. Back to the baskets & I a gorgeous woven bowl with a spiral pattern! Coffee free- spent a bit on a basket for myself & supported a local business that supports African artists!
Coffee is strong! Kick you in the butt! The samosa was delicious and packed a flavor punch! The service- the girl was sweet & wonderful! I can see myself returning for more merchandise.Helpful 11Thanks 0Love this 12Oh no 0 - May 15, 2022
The coffee is awesome! If you're looking for a low acid and well brewed cup of joe, this is the place. I removed one star because one of the fridges in the queue was full of mold. While empty, still not something you want to see. If they let things go you can see, you can guess they allow it to pass in places you can't. Another knock was the cash register is a Square Tablet. This is no issue except the card reader and chip scanner were broken so the barista had to type in the entire card number, security code, and zip code manually. Not ideal and a bit unsecured. You can contact Square and they will send a replace, overnight, for free. The last item was there are TVs available to show marketing and menus but they are taped over with paper versions. It would have been nice to use the half a dozen speakers around and on the patio to play music. It could help off set the street noise.
