      The worst dealer experience!

We recently went there (two weeks ago) to buy two cadillacs for business. Our friend recommended their price but not their service.

First visit: it took them 2.5-3 hours to tell us that we need to come back on monday for credit check.

Second visit on monday : it took 2-3 hours to credit check and answer only a couple of questions about the car. And an appointment for friday, so their "manager" will call the banks.

Third visit friday : we get there on time we were told. Jim and Peter told us to wait before even greet. Yes we did. For 2 hours without knowing whats going on. Peter came told my friend a little about his offer but not details. Then we wait again and Jim came and told us to go home instead of waiting. Then Peter comes tells the opposite. I finally freaked out in 3rd hour and asked if what takes so long! And if why they gave us an appointment if they got nothing to tell?!? Their whole attitude has changed. I felt like asking for free food to them. Well no, i was about to drop almost 100k$ in that place!

Anyways, today is next friday after the last appointment. My credit was checked (and hurt) and nobody ever gave any calls or nothing. I highly suggest cadillac cars but only if its not from this place! Even if it is cheaper than others, i will never buy from this dealer especially from those salesmen, and make sure my friends wont as well.

      Thanks

My experience with Grossinger started off on the wrong foot due to a misunderstanding, but I appreciate that the team went out of their way to get back in touch with me and make things right. I appreciate the professionalism and time/care they were willing to put into making me a customer, and because of that I'm happy to have leased my new Malibu from Grossinger.

Aaron was extremely helpful in answering my final questions surrounding the vehicle and the terms of my lease, and I appreciate Danny working long and hard to get me a great deal on financing.

Not all businesses will take the time or care to correct a poor customer perception or experience, and I am grateful that Grossinger went the extra mile in that regard.

Been a customer for more than 18 years. DO NOT give them a phone number for them to call you when service is finished. They will then make solicitation calls ad nauseam and never stop, no matter how many times they lie and tell you your phone number is removed. I actually disconnected my landline because of their non-stop calling. Giving your cell phone will ensure that you are disturbed by them throughout your day - even if they tell you it will stop.

John (no longer in the Lincolnwood service department) was the only reason I went for service since 2005. I would go for discounted oil change (which they no longer give, and charge more than $80 for the cheapest oil service) then always have other things fixed. The last time I priced an oil change, I was told "it is what it is" so now am bringing my car elsewhere - and let them fix other things they find wrong.

With no incentive to go to them for the small stuff, they lose all the rest that goes along with customer acquisition. I want my Toyota to stay a Toyota - but not with Leader Automotive.

Sadly, I'm not sure is Leader is bad all around as I have had good experiences at one of their dealers in Lincoln Park, but my experience at Lincolnwood Toyota was so negative that I am concerned with the entire operation. They were SLEAZY and unethical. If I were at an exclusively used car dealer with no service and no cars over 10k then I would have expected a better experience. They lowball trade ins and tack on thousands of dollars in warranties that they said were already on the vehicle. Then they will remove if you ABSOLUTLEY refuse! DEFINITELY do not sign anything without reading and understanding EVERY WORD.

They always say it will be one hour to fix something and it takes three. Then they try to sell me something at four times the cost of what it should be.

The original sales of the car was a train wreck of slippery tricks

Would give 0 stars if I could. Way overpriced & awful service. Had prior knowledge that going into picking up my car, that it would be $399 (FOR A BATTERY CHANGE...RIDICULOUS). Anyways, when I get there Paul tells me it will be $466. I ask him is that with tax because that's not what I discussed with Evan. (Probably thought I was some young dumb female who would be willing to pay that). I tell him I'm calling my dad to confirm and suddenly Paul changes his answer to the $399. He then told me, as I'm on the phone with my dad, "well anything above that $399 is to support his drinking habits across the street" EXCUSE ME??? No. Very crude joke and VERY unprofessional. I paid my $399 and got right out of there.

Save yourself stress and a great deal of money by going anywhere else in the city. I wish I did.

I was out with friends and I mentioned that I had been car shopping recently. Our bartender overheard our conversation and warned me to stay away from buying anything from Grossinger because of how horrible they are to their customers. He told us how they completely ripped off a friend of his who had work done to her car there.
I did a little research and just from what I read on yelp, I will be taking the bartenders advice and staying away from these people.
You better wake up Grossinger, horrible customer service travels very quickly by word of mouth!!

Horrible experience here, so much so that I'm never buying a Chevrolet vehicle again.

I had a repeat car issue that I had to bring into the shop 5 times, it was in their possession off and on for about 30 days over the course of two months. They tried to fix my vehicle 3 times, each time charging me more and more, and not fixing the problem.

When I called asking about receiving my original parts (since they said I could have them when I asked) and asking for a refund on the parts that didn't work, they have refused to call back or respond. I've called them upwards of 20 times. The people (Paul particularly) there are perpetually on vacation it appears. When they are actually in the office, they are exceptionally rude and snarky. I've had to resort to having my husband call to try to help get through to the servicemen because of the blatant sexism.

Don't be fooled by these people. Beyond a basic oil change and stealing your money, I wouldn't trust them with anything.

3 hours for an oil change when I was told it would take an hour and half to two, even though when making the reservation online I was given the option to wait for the vehicle (maybe then would've been a good time to inform me of the length of time an oils change takes here when other places do it in 30 minutes). I asked about someplace to go while I waited and was never informed they actually have a waiting area with WiFi and vending machines. After all that time, when the car was finally finished, I walk out to retrieve it and find another customer resting on the hood. Whatever. I get in the car and there's a mechanics tool in the middle console. I left a poor review and Grossinger responded asking me to call to discuss ...... at which point they never answered the phone. Twice. Enough of my time has been wasted.
      Never going back.

Recently purchased a BMW X5, owned the car for less than 8 months and the cars engine completely gave out with a $25k bill, luckily we purchased a third party warranty who covered the $15k of the bill but we are left with a $10k bill on a car that we just purchased. When we asked for help from the dealer we got in touch Brian Weinberg who after speaking with us once, avoided our calls until we called from a different number. We are disgusted by the service and now have to dish out an additional $10k for a car we just purchased. We put our faith in Grossinger and they screwed us over. The best part is BMW told us the car we purchased did not exist in the system and the vin number was flagged, STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALER
