      A solid thin crust pie.
Perfect amount of topping and cheese and that crust. Just what I wanted. Nice and thin.

As far as others complaining about the Owner's attitude. I did not get any of that.
He was polite, nice. All around a normal guy. A guy with tats making pizza has always been good in my book.
The lady working there also was very nice.

I went to Grinder's Deli for lunch while having new tires put on my car at the neighboring tire shop. I actually looked up their reviews on Yelp before heading over there and was hesitant from what I read. However, I asked one of the workers at the tire shop what he thought and he said their food is amazing. Therefore, I gave it a shot.

I walked in and was immediately impressed with the décor. From outside, I was not expecting what I saw. It was very clean and welcoming. Being around noon, the bar section was closed, leaving only the small dining area open. When I first arrived, the 3 booths were occupied. However, as I looked over the menu to decide on what I was ordering, one of the booths opened up. I wanted to get a sandwich; however, when I saw a pizza come out to one of the tables, it looked amazing so I decided to get that. I asked the girl at the counter if they make "personal" sized pizzas. She said yes. Great! I ordered a pepperoni pizza and an antipasta salad.

About 5 minutes later, my salad came out and it looked and tasted great. The dressing was good; however I would of preferred more of a plain Italian Vinaigrette over the "creamy" Italian dressing it came with. Regardless, I ate the whole thing and really enjoyed it.

The pizza came out about 5 minutes later. It was piping hot and was delicious. The personal size has 4 large slices, cut just big enough to where you can "fold" the pieces in half like a taco and eat it like a true New Yorker. The girl at the counter brought out parmesan cheese from the fridge and asked if everything was good. She was very nice and attentive.

I will definitely be back soon. The only reasons, at this point, I did not give it 5 stars are:

      1) I really liked their pizza. I would of definitely made this my go-to pizza place when sitting at home and watching a game with friends. However, they do NOT deliver.

      2) They have a sign on the front window that advertises "Thrifty Ice Cream". They do not have Thrifty Ice Cream.

      3) I have only been there once. When I go back and find that the food is consistent each time, I will raise this review to 5 stars.

I was sitting at home, and I was very hungry. I walked to my kitchen, and opened my refrigerator, inside, I saw a pair of bagged salads, and some condiment packets. I decided I did not want to eat a salad, and decided to go check out the deli place I had seen while walking down the road for dinner. Plus, the world was supposed to end. Who wants to spend their last night eating a SALAD? I put on my shoes and walked down the street to this place, where their spinny-light thingamajig blinded me momentarily as I walked in their front door.
The place was well lit, and I walked in the place, and up to the counter to see what they had. On the walls there were images of massive pastrami sandwiches, proclaiming that Thursday was pastrami night. That was enough of a hook for me, so I bit it, and asked for one. The guy behind the counter wrote it on his notepad, and said it would be right out. My total was eight dollars and change.
I sat down at one of the empty booths, and beat several rooms in the Level 8 dungeon of The Legend Of Zelda. Soon enough, my sandwich came out. It wasn't quite as stuffed as the images that had been dangled in front of me, but it was still a decent amount of pastrami in a soft hoagie. It was sliced in half neatly. A tub of pickles, and a bottle of mustard were brought quickly afterwards.
Not 100% sure of what to do with the pieces that were put before me, I reasoned that the pickles and mustard were supposed to go with the pastrami somehow. So I lifted up the top half of the bun, and dumped half of the pickles onto the pastrami. I squirted mustard on the inside of the bun, and carefully re-assembled the sandwich. I picked it up, and took a bite. It was fairly tasty. The mustard/pickle/pastrami combination was actually pretty good. Salty, sour & tangy all at once. I enjoyed it.
I repeated my assembly with the second half of the sandwich, and had that demolished in no-time. It was good. I was pretty full, and decided to wash my hands of the grease from the sandwich. The women's room is right in front. The men's bathroom is through the bar section of the restaurant.
Yes, there is a bar section that's a whole different section of the place. While the deli section of the place is clean, and neat, and brightly lit, to be honest, the bar portion of the place really reminded me of a b-movie set. But, there were several people in there, and it seemed to be fairly popular. So I guess it works.
The men's bathroom is in the back of the place. You must travel through the Labyrinth, and defeat the legendary Minotaur. After that, you get your prize, which is you get to pee and wash your hands.

It's definitely okay. I'll probably be back, I'll probably order something else, but who knows.

      This place RULES!
Have been ordering Take-out from this place for sandwiches since it is within walking distance from my house, but decided to get the pizza for the Super Bowl. Let me tell you, ANOTHER LEVEL, of amazing, Could possibly be the BEST Pizza in SCV. Definitely the Best in Canyon Country. Not sure if you people remember Venice Pizzeria but that use to be the best. But since that is gone this is BY far and away the best Pizza in town. I will soon be there, all the time!

This place closed over a year ago. New business with similar name remodeling and opened a sports bar. Nice people, nice place, pizza backed from frozen dough, enough said.

Updated review: This place is under new ownership/management. The surly man who used to make going here difficult has sold the restaurant to a wonderful husband and wife team. From what I know, the food is still the same great food but now you can go enjoy it without being witness to human rights violations perpetrated by the previous owner against his employees. I have since moved out of the Santa Clarita Valley and won't be able to frequent this place but I recommend you do so.

I hate to change my review from the last 5 star review I did about this place. It seems like they changed owner and the pizza is just disgusting and overpriced, it tasted like pizza I got in grade school for lunch, I think that pizza was even better. The only reason I am not giving this place a 1 star is because the customer service was good and the beer was nice and cold. I don't see myself coming back here ever again.

      The food here is good.

      The customer service SUCKS ASS!!!!!!!

What pizzeria turns their pizza oven off 10-15 minutes before they close. I have called to place an order for pick up and have been left on hold and just forgotten about. It takes forever to get a refill on your drink, no one is at the counter to take your order, the bar music conflicts with the restaurant music plus the bar side is really loud and dirty.

Thursday pastrami night it says open till 10 pm on the signs on the wall, tried to order a pizza at 8:50 and get told "We close at 9 and I already turned the pizza oven off. You should have ordered it 10-15 minutes ago" If you are open till 9 or 10 or whatever time you decide on that night you should keep making food till you close.

I have been told the same thing over the phone as well.

Every other time I come here there is some sort of problem." Can't make pizza because our wall got smashed", "Just turned the ovens off", "wait at the counter forever to place an order", "wait forever to get a refill on a drink" , "get left on hold for 7+ minutes" , "stuff on our order forgotten about with an, Oh Sorry I didn't see that on the ticket"

At first I was like OK it's a new business starting up, they are having some growing pains, etc but there is always something nearly a year later.

I don't care how good your food is if you customer service continues to SUCK!!!!! I wont be back.

If you want good food with crappy service, slow drink refills, a loud bar, and a limited menu near closing time this is the place for you .

This place is really great. We love the New Yorker pizza here. I also love the pastrami and french dip sandwiches. The pastrami is lean and flavorful. They just expanded and now have a much bigger eating area with a beer bar. Plus they just started free delivery, yay! With free wifi, I might have to head down and try it out as a second office for a day.
