I am an architect and owner of a 1906 Craftsman home which I'm slowly modernizing into being more comfortable and an investment for the future. I was pleased to discover Green Energy Solutions through the Energy Trust of Oregon's Clean Energy Works program in Portland, Oregon.

My house is 2000sf and previously had no insulation. This lead to lots of temperature differential throughout the levels and rooms as well as drafts and extremely high heating and cooling costs. In the coldest months our heating electric bills would peak at around $400 a month! The house had no central cooling and the upper floor would at times be as warm as 90 degrees! NOT acceptable!!

My project manager from Green Energy Solutions was Ernesto Melo. I appreciate how he listened and worked through some of the trickier insulation areas. Now that the install is complete, I am delighted with the consistent temperatures throughout the house. The monthly electric heating bill is now about 25% the previous amount.

After all the years since 1906, my house is finally dressed appropriately to be outside!

They operate like people used to do. From start to finish, I couldn't have had a better experience. And, we were just a small customer ($1800 to replace insulation), but were treated like a Rockefeller. Jeff was quick to communicate and gave a competitive price. When I had a change that lowered the initial price, it was accepted gracefully. I arranged an installation date 6 weeks out, and low and behold, when I called Monday, I found I was indeed on the schedule, just like promised. The two young men that did the work were very friendly, efficient, and hard working. Hope he gives them a bonus!

Recently got insulation in my attic and in the walls of my home. Jeff worked with me to help me make the best choices within my budget to help warm up my 102 year old Craftsman home. I was nervous about the amount of time the project would take, and especially about the mess, since I'd had a mouse issue in the attic a few years ago (droppings galore) and knew all that stuff might fall down onto my brand new carpet.
I had nothing to worry about! The guys who did my install covered EVERYTHING in plastic and even bundled things in the attic to further reduce mess.
When they got to the sides of the house, they removed large planks so cleanly that new paint wasn't even needed when they re-installed.
Total project took under 2 days, was extremely quiet (I worked from home without trouble), the guys were absolutely fantastic, and the work is very thorough.
My home is so much warmer now. Couldn't be more pleased!

Just bought a new house, was hot upstairs, abnormally so, and so I called these guys. They came out right away, gave me a quote, and I set a time.
They showed up on time, knocked it out like pros, and did the job for less than they quoted me originally.
And they gave the paperwork to mail in so the audit was free.

The attic job looks fantastic. I stuck my head up there and looked with one of the sales staff, Jose.
