Everyone knows that dreaded *smash!* as their phone hits the ground. "Here we go again...time for another new phone." Or so I thought.
An hour later I am writing this review from what looks like a brand new iPhone thanks to Green Earth Computers. This was the first time I have ever had an experience repairing my phone or computer that didn't leave me frustrated, totally broke and without my device for days (or weeks).
The customer service and prices at this place cannot be beat. Derek, the technician on duty, was very knowledgeable and friendly. I am very impressed and will be sure to return for all of my (inevitable) computer and phone repairs. They responded to my Yelp message, telling me to bring my computer in. Since I was looking for someone to come to my home, I called and was asked to leave a message so they could call me back. Never heard back from them.

They responded right away to my initial Yelp message, saying that they didn't have the screen in stock, and to come in to set up an account and they would order it.
I went during their business hours (posted online & on the door). They were not there. I called and left several messages. Outgoing message restated the same business hours.

I cracked my iPhone screen quite some time ago. It was fully functional until last week when the screen began to "bleed". I came to Yelp for Green Earth's phone number and, sometime after 9P, filled out an appt request on this page. I was almost immediately replied to by Kiernan who gave me a quote, suggested I call in the AM, and assured me it the repair was possible. I called and spoke with Derek the next morning. He met me at the door for drop off and pick up. I now have a "new" iPhone. These guys are terrific from end-to-end. This was an outstanding client experience.

Called about having my iPhone screen replaced. Was able to schedule within a couple hours. Repair took an hour was was done on time and professionally!!

When I noticed a crack on my cellphone screen, I called the usual places listed on Google. There were several close by, but none with open appointments in the next week. When I called one, they were very polite but said they would need to keep the phone for at least three days. So, I went looking a bit further and found Green Earth Computers, a small shop right under my nose. They were great! The price for repair was slightly less than the big name places and though it was possible they would need to keep it overnight, same day repair was more their norm. With the lockbox drop-off and retrieval, it was simple and COVID-19 safe. Turns out it was only my glass screen protector that was cracked, but they repaired that and refuned the balance of my payment. I would highly recommend this store for all your computer, phone, etc. need.

I was told on the phone that replacing a screen would take an hour. 45 minutes later at the shop, I was told that because there was only one person there that day, it would take two hours.
Two hours later, I picked up my phone. The new screen looked great. But the next morning, I discovered that my phone had not charged even after being plugged in all night. It had worked perfectly, except for the broken screen, before entering the shop. So I had to make another trip to the shop, where they worked on it all day and couldn't fix it. They also would not admit they broke it, even though they obviously had.
I was refunded my money for the new screen, but had to wait overnight, phoneless, so they could take the new screen off and replace it with the old broken one (which was now even more broken). So after six wasted hours and five trips to Northampton, I now had a phone with a broken screen AND a dead battery.
So I guess be smarter than me and ask beforehand what happens if they break your phone while trying to fix it.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Thank you for your feedback. I am deeply sorry that we left you so disappointed in our services. Especially with phone repairs we do our best to make them quick and require minimal customer visits, and I am sorry that your device was an exception to this and that you had to be phoneless for an additional day.
Unfortunately in the case of all accidental damage (drops, spills, etc) there is always risk that opening the device will reveal (or occasionally cause) more problems that were not seen before. Bits of broken glass and liquid show very little mercy to electronics. I went in for cell phone repair. Their prices and turnaround time were equivalent or better than other options in the area and their communications were superior. I have had good experiences with them in the past for computer repair.

These people are the best! Twice they've worked with me on small laptop problems and both times didn't charge me. The second time was to try to connect a bluetooth speaker to an HP laptop, the tech spent almost an hour working on it, and he fixed it! And then didn't charge me!

We must have talked for at least 5-7 minutes. Didn't try to get me to come in so they could make money off me.

Green Earth Computers was recommended to me by a friend when my computer was damaged by spilled coffee. The staff are professional and honest. While my laptop could not be saved, they were able to save the hard drive. I did go back to the 'Big Box' store to look at a new laptop, and after being told numerous lies about what I needed, I went right back to Green Earth and got a refurbished Dell at a affordable price (much more so than at the Big Box store) with no grief and aggravation, but with terrific customer service.
