Overall there were quite a few things to do but the place seemed to be ran mostly by teenagers - some who were not very explanatory and rude. My son was clearly over 42" but the person at the front said he would be too short to ride the rides for 42" and over. I was like do you need your eyes checked. I skipped the line and bought at the machines and the people at the rides didn't have a problem recognizing he was above the 42". I will say we were in the last double go cart and we're the first to have to pit so we lost an entire lap that the rest of the group was able to have. Felt that was a little unfair to my child because he thought we had one more lap. I just told him to just let it go and maybe next time he would be in front. The facility seemed dirty in many areas and like a groundskeeper is needed. The restrooms were unclean and most stalls were missing toilet tissue. Overall it was a fun place considering there aren't many things out by this area with as much to do in one spot.

My teenager got a job at Great Times last week, and they wanted her to start immediately!
She went to training Friday where she was taught by her trainer to use the register. She was then assigned on a shift Sunday where she was working register with a senior employee who kept leaving her alone, so she rang up some customers how they trained her (as she was never instructed not to do so).
Later on in Sundays shift she was removed from the floor and taken to the managers office with 2 managers, 1 supervisor, and they brought in 2 police officers (1 IMPD and 1 Southport Police) were waiting. The 5 adults (4 men and 1 woman) started interrogating/harassing her on how she was breaching her employment contract, she wasn't allowed to work the register alone, questioned every transaction she took and if she touched any cash, etc.
I apparently called during the time they had her pulled into the office with the police (as I thought her shift was already supposed to be over at that time), and they did not inform me they had her pulled into a room with the police.
If you have a child who is a minor DO NOT allow them to work here. This company apparently only hires minors, and they run the store with intimidation tactics, threats, etc. My child also informed me that Great Times does not follow through on allowing the minors they hire to take the breaks required by law.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kristina B.Seattle, WA01Mar 29, 2024

We had a great time at Greatimes. My family and I visited on a Saturday afternoon, wanting to get out of the house and do something fun for the kids. It was busy, but not too busy that the wait times were unbearable. Outside we played putt putt and used the bumper cars. I loved that they had bumper cars for the younger kids. We ventured inside as well and played some of the arcade games. A lot of the games were out of service and the elevator was not working properly, which made it difficult to take the stroller upstairs to the additional games. I heard that they offer deals on Groupon, I'll make sure to check that out next time before we go!

It was my son's 3rd birthday and my husband and I took him here for the go-carts, bumper boats, arcade, and indoor jungle gym. When we first got there we were ignored while the two teenagers that were supposed to be working the register were talking, until I politely said, "I'm sorry I just have a few questions about the game and point system." One came over to help and I asked how many points the average game requires so I could estimate how many points we'd need. Her response (as she was still chewing a Laffy Taffy) was, "I have no idea, let me get a team lead". We waited for another teenager who was the team lead, asked the same question, and she said, "there's not really an average, they're all different." I said, "okay..so what's the lowest and highest cost of a game?" She says, "idk what you're asking."
I gave up at that and just decided we'll spend $100 and if we end up needing more, we'll load on more on the loading machines they had. Mind you the attractions were also on a point system, you bought 775 points for each ride per person, on the same card. The $100 got us around 12,000 points which I thought should be more than enough. After I bought the card and points it was around 1240PM and the door sign said they closed at 11pm. After one bumper boat ride and about 15 minutes in the jungle gym we hear over the PA system that theyre closing for a private event in 15 min. I got really upset because there were no signs anywhere saying this, and you would think one of the 3 girls I interacted with would have mentioned, when I asked to buy 12k points, maybe, "Just so you know, we do close in 45 min"
I went back up to the front and asked to speak with a manager about a refund. I explained that there was absolutely no way for us to know they were closing super early, and I would like a refund for the points we didn't get to spend due to their lack of trying to inform customers. She said once the cards are used once, they can't give any refunds for them. She then told me it was on their website. I looked and its in the abiut section (not the main page) in very small print, at the bottom of their website that they were closing early that day. I was visibly upset, and explained we live over an 1 hour away from here and would probably not get the chance to come back and use the points, and that I feel if they're going to close super early they should try a lot harder to let customers know that before they spend loads of money that they can't get back. How would one even spend 12k points in less than an hour?? So disappointed.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Bob L.Greenwood, IN036Apr 7, 2023

My husband and I took our 3 Grand kids here yesterday. and it was our very First time here. The place has potential, but we were disappointed overall. The only pleasant staff member was the young lady manning the bumper boats. Upon arrival we were never greeted. We approached a couple of girls that were slouched over the counter, and they clearly weren't doing anything, and directed us to get in the only other line available at the counter. We then inquired about the different packages and it felt like we were bothering the girl in charge. Upon getting our wrist bands we walked around to get an overview of what was available. We first approached the Go carts and stood there for a good while not knowing if we were in the right line, doing the right thing, while watching employees across the way shooting the bull. After doing the outside we went in and used the bathroom upon finding no soap available. I approached an employee and she replied," We are out I can give you hand sanitizer to use. In the remainder of our time we viewed many employees on their phone, a manager overlooking the employees from above, and 2 hours later before we left, still no sign of soap! What would it have taken to get what of the lame employees to go and buy soap for $1 down the road. All the games are handled by so many different individuals and "no soap"! Still going through some post COVID days and yet no soap or ready available sanitizer for the patrons. No one looked thrilled to work there! It's sad! The place seems to be in nice shape but without a friendly staff I wish you well.

It's diffinitley got fun games for kids. I think tho after watching while their, during Covid they should have Lysol wipes out or something to wipe before using to prevent spreading any viruses.
Breadsticks are amazing but getting the teens to take your order promptly was a hassle.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Tiffany A.North Willow Farms, Indianapolis, IN01617Feb 6, 2021
It would have been fun if a lot of the machines actually worked properly. Everything was super outdated but my little kids didn't really know that.
The price of each machine is ridiculous.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
