Can I pay for parking with credit cards?

      A:

They do take credit cards. It appears they only take cash because attendants stand outside wearing money apron with cash in hand, but if you give them a card, they'll go in to attendant shack and run it. It's how I usually pay. Have fun!

On the Easter Sunday of our trip to St. Louis, we decided to check out Grant Farm. The facility once owned by President Grant and now owned by Anheuser Busch is a fun family environment with plenty to do. Entry to the facility is free, but there are plenty of opportunities for this place to nickel and dime you during your stay.

They have an area where you can see the Anheuser Busch Clydesdales, pet them, and even take a picture with one. The picture package was $30 which seemed steep but I digress. We then took a tram tour of Grants Farm which was cool, as we got to see a lot of different animals and hear about the history of the facility. The only issue was that the speaker that they were using was not loud enough to clearly hear over all the children, so a lot of information was missed.

After the tram ride, there is a dining area with reasonably priced food (and 2 free cups of beer per person, yay!), an area to feed animals such as parakeets, baby goats, llamas, etc, gift shop, carousel, an area to see old Clydesdales wagons, and more. I would say that this was about a 3 - 4 hour activity and definitely worth checking out once if you're in the area.

I just went to the Grants Farm Christmas lights & it didn't disappoint! They have food for purchase to feed the goats & cows! My favorite part! You can also ride the carousel which is part of the experience when you buy your ticket for the lights!
They had the Busch Estates open to walk by & lit up with Christmas lights making it beautiful!
Not only can you walk your way through Grants farm for the lights but now you can get your Drive Through! Two separate tickets to purchase but it will not disappoint! I highly recommend going to Grants Farm to see the Christmas Lights!

This was not a 'regular' visit to Grant's Farm. It was for a private event, which happened to be on the very last day of the season.

So much history here, and seeing the Clydesdales up close is an unbelievable treat. Getting to pet one was the cherry on top.

The event was from 3-7:30, with it understood that we were able to arrive at any time. There was a schedule of events which we were invited to partake.

Arriving at 4 did not seem unreasonable. At least parking was included for the event. However, we were required to "wait with everyone else" for the trams, which was about an hour. I'm not saying we should have had special treatment. However, the organization paid a lot for the event and it cost the guests $65 each for adults and $25 each for kids. It would have been nice to be able to have maybe another line for the private party so not to wait an hour to get in. Those who arrived after 5 didn't even have parking which was supposed to be included! It was so crowded that the trams didn't even take us on the tour-just straight to the Biergarten, so we didn't get to see the animals, hear the history, etc.

Food was subpar-hotdogs and burgers were cold as were the baked beans. Buns were not fresh.

It was great seeing friends and business acquaintances, but it was a costly night with too long waiting in line!

I love Grant's Farm, lots of memories. But, I won't be hurrying to have a special event here!

Grant's Farm is classic, I don't care how old I get it never gets old to me. I love, love, love Grant's Farm!!! I go to Grant's Farm for my pure enjoyment. I love the tram ride into the park and hearing the history of Grant's Farm and how it came to exist, that NEVER gets old to me, as well as enjoying watching the wildlife in the fields.

Then of course I absolutely LOVE feeding the baby goats and the adult goats. They are both incredibly greedy but sweet. The only thing I do like is the big goats bully the smaller goats when you are feeding them and push them out of the way so they can eat the ice-cream cones filled with food. Which brings me to the prices. The pellet filled ice-cream cones are $2 a cone and the milk bottles, don't get me started, especially since they don't even fill the small bottles to the top anymore and be careful, make sure they put the bottle lid on correctly otherwise you have paid for milk that is dripping on the ground.

I rode the camel for $10 a ride, well worth it to me. I'm telling you......I'm a big kid at heart. The man running the camel ride is extremely nice and courteous. I asked first if it was ok if I rode, since technically I was the only adult riding. He even stopped the camel in front of my sister so she could snap a few pictures for free, otherwise the lady is also standing there taking pictures for you to purchase. The ride is like 2-3 circles around the bend.

Grant's Farm has soo many other animals that I haven't even touched on, check out the giant tortoise next to the camel ride, the parakeet enclosement. Where you are able to feed them, as well as the llamas, various other birds and species.

And last but not least, you can't go to Grant's Farm and not see the Budweiser Clydesdale's, that would be an abomination. They are a St. Louis staple and a site to see. They can be seen inside the park as well as outside the park, there are two Clydesdale's areas located outside of the park.

The beer garden/courtyard houses options for eats and drinks and is also the area where you catch the tram to leave. The gift shop is located as you enter the park on the right side across from the line to catch the tram.

Unfortunately, the price to enter the park is based on the type of vehicle entering the park and prices start at $20 and upward. I believe it is $20 for a sedan, $40 for SUV's.

I highly suggest getting to Grant's Farm as early as possible because by 12 noon the lines to enter into the park and catch the tram can be an hour or more wait. And parking starts to get really crowded.

I love that Grant's Farm offers fun experiences throughout the season, from October Fest to Halloween fun and more.

      YESSSSSSSSS, definitely checkout Grant's Farm

I grew up in St. Louis and have fond memories of Grant's farm so when I was traveling to St. Louis I wanted to share the magic with my 7 year old.

We went on Wednesday and had bought everything in advance online. Parking $16, fun pass $10-gets the kidlet: a bomb pop, carousel ride and 2 goat bottles. I think the bottles individually were $2, the carousel ride $4 and no clue about the bomb pop as it is not something I would have bought.

We got there right at open and got the tram. Took the ride to the park and saw a good amount of animals. We had an animal encounter tour at 10am ($26 per person) so we walked around and looked at the animals. There were goats, rabbits, tortoises, camels, water buffalo, yaks. Should have done the carousel ride and goats then but thought maybe they would start the tour early since we were the only 3 on it. No such luck. The employees stood around talking, watching us until exactly 10 am.

The tour was cool. We got to see ferrets, rats, hedgehog, water buffalo, camel, yak, 2 tortistes, snake, skink up close. The staff would hold the animal and we could pet it. The water buffalo and yak were my favorite. They were such gentle giants.

After the tour we waited in a line for the carousel (kidlet didn't want to do it). The loading of it was super slow and the people running it did not seem to do accurate counts to make sure it was as full as possible considering the long lines. Some of the animals were "broken" had trash bags over their heads and the lion doesn't go up and down. Parents are allowed to stand between horses if they want. Kids are required to use safety strap to stay on the animal.

Last we did the goats. These goats are aggressive mofo's. They would jump on other goats to push them out of the way, rip bottles from kids hands, chew on clothes, invade your space. I keep having to knee the goats away from us. There were lots of kids crying.

We walked through the stables near the exit but it was regular horses and not the Clydesdales. We managed to make it on the shuttle arriving. We had to witness an awkward encounter of a guest yelling at a staff. Thankfully ride to front was fast but there was another tram in the station and we had to wait.

We walked across the parking lot to see the Clydesdales. There was one out front with a handler you could take photos with (not sure if it cost money).

Overall a good trip but not the fond memories I have from childhood. Glad we did the animal encounter as that was a neat experience to have but found the other part of the park disappointing.

Feeding the goats is an absolute life requirement! They are so cute! They nibble and I want to take one home. The grounds at Grant's farm are beautiful! The estate is overwhelming! Such a classic spot in St. Louis! Oh and don't forget to stop and see the majestic Clydesdales! They are beautiful!

Grant's Farm is a really interesting place! It is a petting zoo that houses the Budweiser Clydesdales, which are just beautiful horses. We got the package where we would be able to brush them and that was such a fun experience! They were so docile and sweet and you really don't understand how large they are until you stand next to one. There is also a National Park site nearby (Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site) and that's really interesting to tour as well. They do events throughout the year too including Christmas lights and it's a really nice place to visit overall!

Super cool experience. Especially considering there is not an admission fee.

Best part is feeding the baby goats. Staff is extremely friendly and you learn some decent history about President Grant on the tram ride.

      HIGHLY recommend visiting!

Visited for the Fall Fest 2023! Came in around 3pm and grabbed a free beer, turkey legs and a side of fries. Then explored around the area to pet the goats and cows. You can't leave here without feeding the goats milk ($2 a bottle) or feeding the goats their grains. The place was decorated for Halloween and it was so nice out that it made for a great trip!

It has been 20 years since my last visit to Grant's Farm as a child to see the Budweiser horses so it was really special to return again as a parent and see it through my toddler's eyes. They truly have thought of everything to make this an east family-friendly experience. Admission is free but parking was somewhere around $15-20. From the parking lot, you board a little tram to weave your way through the property to see all of the animal species with a guide narrating the experience. The ride was half the fun for us and captivating for our kiddo from start to finish.

Once we arrived at the main attraction, we enjoyed bottle feeding baby goats, a carousel ride and visiting all of the animals. The beer garden was also really well done. Had our timing been different, we would have had a meal there. The setting was idyllic and the prices were fairly affordable.

Overall, a fabulous visit and so easy/relaxing given all of the accommodations for families.

This place is amazing! I honestly didn't know what to expect before arriving. We bought tickets online for 5pm-10pm but turns out that you don't have to do that if arrive and get on the tram by 5 it's FREE! You just have to pay $16 for parking. The tram ride itself was so much fun with views of deer, zebra, water Buffalo, and more! The tram takes you to a really awesome site with a carousel, MORE animals, goats you can bottle feed, camels you can ride. There was also face painting, live music, free beer, and food! My kids had a blast. My husband and I enjoyed the music and everything about this place! Such an amazing time! I'm bummed my kids got tired before the DRONE LIGHT SHOW started (how cool)... but maybe next time!
