Grand Slam 2

Grand Slam 2 has been helping players, families, coaches, and teams for over almost 20 years. I am lucky to have been able to get in reps here and receive private instruction from Coach Bobby. His staff is knowledgeable and experience with baseball and softball. They changed my game by teaching me and helped me practice by providing a space for me!

My experience at this establishment has been nothing except positive and helpful. Their rates for tokens and cages are more than reasonable. Their private instruction is 2nd to none. I can guarantee that your child will be a better athlete if he/she practice here and/or receives private instruction from the staff.

Grand Slam 2 is great!

I will never go here again! I reserved a cage for 2pm for a Sunday afternoon. We were told we can't get in until the people left that cage. Why were there people in our cage when we "reserved" it for 2pm in the first place I don't understand. What really made things worse and broke the camels back was the fact that we were asked to leave at 2:55 for the reservation of another party at 3pm. I asked to speak to a manager on duty and I was told by a young man there were none on duty this afternoon. I am not very happy with this business at all.

Oh .. I love batting cages. I haven't really hit a ball in about 18 years but I tell ya .. That muscle memory stuff is real.

This is an indoor facility. The only thing is there's no air conditioning. It's sorta like playing in the great outdoors .. With the heat. But feeling the bat connect with the ball is still pretty awesome.

Grand Slam 2 is located in the back of the center. Just remember that. We drove by it like 5 times before we figured out where it was.

Also .. I got a deal with groupon. So it was a great deal.

Coach Chris Gilliford has one motive working here...to break up marriages. He has been consistently texting and hitting on my wife for the better part of a month. Yesterday he invited her to Grand Slam before they opened to take a shower with him....really??? This is the kind of business they are running?? So, I guess my point is, if you are looking to hook up, call and ask for Chris. Tell him you want to "hit" and have a good time. Utterly despicable!

I bought a Groupon for a hitting league for the month of August from Grand Slam 2. I contacted them before purchasing the Groupon to confirm times and dates. After calling 3 times the weeks before the first session and leaving messages with Madison and being told someone would call me back with more information she finally told me to bring my son in 30 minutes before the hitting league started to get him signed up. I drove an hour (I live in Newport News) to get him there only to be told they were no longer doing the hitting league and then refused to refund my money. They told me I could spend the amount of the Groupon in their store. I am not looking to purchase additonal equipment. Basically they sold me a service they are no longer offering and now are keeping my money as well. I am fighting it with Groupon to get a refund. Worst customer service!!!!
