I was looking for a wide brim hat for my partner and zi had no idea what I was doing. Im so glad I ended up at Goorin Bros. The women working there were super friendly, (stylish) and knowledgeable. They helped me to figure out sizing, think through outfits, and pick out feathers and other additions to complete the hat.

I also appreciated their rigorous mask and hand sanitizer policy. It's always good to know that establishments care about your well-being and that of their employees.

Really nice store, great quality hats.
Salesperson was Ultra hyper about COVID, kinda bitchy with a splash of dry personality. Short answered, no hospitality.

I am a long time customer of your brand, have multiple products from your company's offerings, and the MULTIPLE stamped Goorin Loyalty cards to prove it. I went to the 181 Bedford Avenue location to purchase a hat on 9/3 at 3:30pm (manager did not want to give me her name because she is a terrible manager). It was being operated by a sourpuss crass, half-a-glass empty, female manager with a Goorin hat. She asked me to sanitize my hands. I obliged (new corporate policy I suppose). Two females customers were there getting their hats serviced. I waited for a couple minutes until the UP TO THEN polite female manager asked if I needed help with anything. I said I needed a few minutes to gather my thoughts and get what I came in for. She then asked me a few minutes later if is he could help me with something. I naturally responded and asked if they had any toucan do it hats. She said they didn't and that their stock drops online were different from what they had on Friday (something along those or the the other) . I was not paying her any mind because she had previously presented the rotten egg, cavalier,not-give-a-toucan's a**, stank attitude a week prior when I went there to ask a quick question during a quick stop at Sweet Chick Restaurant up the street (absolutely delicious, read my review on this amazing place).

Anyway, I was in the market for another farm hat (probably my 20th purchase in the category) to gift a colleague of mine in the hospital for her birthday. I decided on the black Legend Unicorn Sparkle model. I told her I'll take it. She said this hat is $50, you know that right? I was like "So?" Ridiculously condescending. She judged a book by its cover. Funny..

My main fault: I was double parked and accidentally hasty, ABSENTMINDEDLY cutting in during her service call with the two young ladies who needed help with their hats. I mumbled I'm double parked and have 3 dogs in mycar (one of which has cancer and is in pure agony). I was talking to myself and said I don't have time and the lady to the right (ho was the customer with the service call) was quick to take offense. The lady and myself had a quick back and forth and I apologized being grotesquely unaware. Lots going on. What do you want me to say?

But out of the woodworks come this ridiculous manager with a vile mouth and a 'I hate men' attitude talking about, "Don't talk to my customer like that. You need to apologize to MY customer!!" GITCH.....what am I chopped liver?!?! I've been a Goorin customer before Goorin was even on this street. All she had to say was "I'm glad you like this hat sir. Good choice. I I'll ring you up as soon as I'm done with these lovely women. Is that fine?" that's it's. Done. Finished. Caput. End of sentence. It would have quelled everything.

Rather than do that, she went on to mumble BS under her breath and continues to talk to me like she was my mother. Go talk to your own kids like that lady. Not customers who walk in and pay $50 for a $7 MIC hat which keeps you company store's lights on and your own fridge full!). I held my composure and again, apologized to the other and said "I'm sorry. I will wait until you transaction is completed. I don't mind standing here all day. Take your time. The manager did not have to talk to me like I'm some trust fund teenager living above the store in a $4000 1BR his parents are paying for." I'm not the one.

By this point, this fake hat hooligan had by blood pressure building but I didn't say anything. I stood back and waited until she was ready to deal with me. She placed the hat back on the shelf. She then proceeded to retrieve the hat from the shelf again and ring it up with her iPhone (probably in hopes that I would leave her store quickly and she wouldn't have to see my face again). While doing that she was mumbling under her breath (things she said which I completely understood as clear as day. On my dogs man....The nerve man...

"I don't know where u came from" (amongst others unmentionables)

She then got super vexed and went on to proclaim that she doesn't want to sell the hat to me, basically telling me to get out. I said: "Fine, don't sell it to me. I don't give a about your overpriced hat. But I do care how you are treating me and making me feel. What's your name and store number?" She goes...

"I don't have to give you that site. I feel uncomfortable giving you my name.
Like you are the manager of a retail store in a forward-facing customer service position. Where is your name tag? Why don't you want to give me your name? To make a long story short, I purchased the hat and gave her my loyalty card which had 4 loyalty stamps prior to me entering the store (it still has 4 stamps on it me so she bull sharted me and FAKED stamping my loyalty card). Nice going with your fraudulent customer service and loyalty stamp lady. Pathetic.

Let me start by saying, the quality of their product is 5 stars.

This review is addressing the customers service. At 2:00pm, I went in their store today because I wanted to purchase a hat for a friend. Instead I was met with indifference and lack luster customer service by the Sales woman. No greeting of hello or how cam I help you. Instead, she states "YOU CAN ONLY COME IN WITH A MASK!" ( it was an odd request because I HAD MY MASK ON!!"
My response to her was, that's great - just make sure you have yours on as well.
Being that I "did" come in the store with my mask on, she could've saved her snide approach and said NOTHING TO ME.
Last time in this place. I'm not dealing with rude staff.

I've been to this goorin numerous times. Always amazing charismatic staff.. so friendly, and finds a good fit for you. And beautiful accessories n ideas what goes with ur hat. I feel that his name is JR big fella very charming n helpful.
Went in recently and there was a young lady.. 1st thing walking LOUD AND RUDE SANITIZE UR HANDS! Barley looked our way...NOT ONCE did she ask what are we lookin for or any kind of help. I picked my own hat..colonel pierce! Like I said been there NUMEROUS TIMES n staff helped especially with what feather will go.
This ghetto ass rude..chick said nuthin n felt attitude from her the whole time shopping. Tried to start a friendly conversation saying a gentleman who has been there a long time..n great style was.. basically told me his business NO LONG WORKS HERE..WAS FIRED FOR PUTTING IN WRONG HOURS.. Wow..didn't ask for all that personal information! Can't really recall her name..Leeann..Ann Lee.. there was a Lee in her name! NOT FRIENDLY AT ALL!! Totally not a goorin experience. And I'm not stopping here..im definitely hitting up corporate! Thats how bad it was walking into the BK store.
When I say I shop hats all the time... I've had few cards with completed stamps from all over the states Cali,Miami and NOLA. But this place in BK with this chick..worst experience at goorin!
Word of advice..looking for a great hat go to goorin... but if u walk into the store in BK n this chick is working... do an about-face! You
Won't have a ROCK STAR EXPERIENCE!

Got several great hats here on my last trip to NY. One I particularly love is a blue Irish wool newsboy type cap. It is perfect for going out on a cool night. I've had it for over 5 years and it still looks new and crisp.

I really don't need any more hats but might pop in for a visit anyway.

      Highly recommended.

So disappointed wilth the behavior of the sales person. I came to Goorin Bros because I was interested in purchasing a hat as I arrive to the store at 6pm there is a sign on the door the reads will be back in 10 minutes. I wait the 10 minutes and a sales associate sees me standing at the door removes the sign and completely ignores me I'm at the entrance trying to get his attention he continues to change his clothes and ignores me I'm standing at the entrance asking is he closed? He does not respond and continues to do whatever he is doing ! I'm so confused by this unprofessional behavior. I will not shop here I will take my business to city hats and spread the word about my experience

When I was in New York last month I found the most perfect hat for my boyfriend and didn't buy it figuring I'd buy it online when I got home to Southern California.

The hat was a limited edition and not on the website. In a complete panic I called the Goorin Bros in Williamsburg and the lovely Shanice searches the store and went into their basement and found the hat that was the right size and the only one left! I couldn't believe it! She packed it up in a beautiful box, texted me the tracking info and and even sent photos of it before she sent it, going above and beyond for me!

Needless to say, the hat arrived and my boyfriend LOVES IT! Thank you Shanice for making our holiday and thank you to Goorin Bros for hiring her! Happy Holidays I look so forward to shopping there again

Outstanding service! As hat-buying rookies, we were expertly guided through the process by the Shopkeeper Shanice. She was intentional about understanding our individual wishes and perfectly matched and fitted us with excellent hats. She took time to teach us about hats and styles and trends. She wasn't pushy or trying to push sales. She was just really good. Best part, she shipped our hats to our home (they arrived before we returned from vacation) and we strutted our wearing our favorite hat purchase. Experience, service, price and location were all above expectations for me.

Such a great experience. Just stopped in here to get a fantastically fancy hat for my fiancé for our wedding this Sunday. The associates there today (July 2nd) whose names I neglected to get, were just wonderful people. We left with two amazing straw fedoras, feathers and all. We could not look more sharp on this fine summer afternoon. I can not say enough positive things about the service at this location. This store has a beautiful selection of hats. I'm overjoyed. Definitely stop in here if you're in the market for a new addition to your wardrobe. Great selection of prices as well. Certainly something for ever budget here. Thank you, Goorin Bros!!!
