I agree with Rob M. It has been many years since I have been there. But that is because my friends are not fans of chain restaurants.
I love this place. Food is affordable and great. Service was very prompt and professional. I don't think you could have Prime Rib, other entrees, sides and desert for the variety for less than $15.00 of what they are charging there.
I will be back again very soon. My only complaint is that I should have been back sooner because I left a very satisfied customer.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Monique C.Dallas, TX9668133Sep 19, 2015
Never again will I ever dine here!
It seemed like every plate we picked up had some sort of wet or dry food on them. The food was horrible! I really can't think of anything positive to say about this place. No more Golden Corral for me or my family.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Michael W.Mineola, TX18556Feb 5, 2016
I keep giving them one more chance
Last night my wife and decide to try again
We opted for here instead of babes chicken big mistake
Half of the food looked like leftovers from lunch ,lots of cold food some of the normal buffet items weren't on the line ,i asked for medium steak got well done ,gravy was watery ,the dishes were put out for us customers dirty half covered in grease others with food particles
Waitstaff gets to busy to pay good attention to tables and its just not worth $15 a piece i recommend the new king buffet much moreHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - James R.Garland, TX4810May 13, 2016
Closed No Longer Here. Went here a few times over the years. Was Good but no more.
Even the one on Saturn isn't very good. Went there too. The Breakfast for Lunch and Dinner. AT 11 am was told that breakfast was over. When asked about the Lunch and Dinner thing all they said was Breakfast is over. :(Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Andy T.Richardson, TX1681Oct 11, 2015
The food was not good at all. My "rare" steak was well done and my omelet was undercooked. Most of the food had a funny taste and if it didn't have that funny taste, it just didn't taste good. The cashier seemed like she did not want to be there at all. Her attitude made the environment feel a lot more depressing than it actually was.
Is there a half star or a zero star???Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Rob A.Garland, TX183May 2, 2015
Their food selection sucked, I have more variety in my freezer and pantry combined.. Food taste was kind of bland, not really appealing at all.. The right section of the restaurant smells like sweaty feet and if you take a look behind the dessert counter you'll probably end up throwing up.. Some of the ovens look like they haven't been cleaned in years and I know this because I owned a restaurant and my ovens never looked like that. I would never come back to this establishment at all, nor I would recommend it to anyone that I care about.. Shoot I wouldn't even recommend it to my worst enemy.. Ps: make sure you check your silver ware, because 3 out of the 4 that I grabbed were still dirty.
Oh and make sure you don't take an attractive girl with you because she'll probably get hit on by the guy behind the counterHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dan W.Columbia, SC4315Oct 11, 2009
Well food good, but... Can you say unsanitary, even for a buffet? 1st and last visit!!!
Control your kids and if not the restaurant should!!
If I were to get H1N1 flu after visiting this place, I would file a law suit.
(The below occurred with the MOD sitting right there seeing it and eating himself - I noted he wasn't eating the food from the line.)
Kids running around grabbing food with their hands and even licking the spoons and putting them back. When I pointed it out to the server, she immediately approach the kids (approx. 10 y/o) kid turned around and said "who me" and had the evidence all over his face. At least the server removed the whip cream.
No sooner had I seen this then a high school basket ball team come in and begin grabbing stuff with their hands and stuffing it in their face and eating right out of the buffet line.
If kids aren't able to control themselves or have been trained to behave then there needs to be adult supervision from the restaurant and its management.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Rob M.Shawnee, KS03316Mar 10, 2013
I find it absolutely ASTONISHING that ANYONE would give ANY Golden Corral -- including this one -- less than 4 stars.
Seriously, what in the world is wrong with our country when people are so spoiled that they can't find SOMETHING to like/love out of literally SCORES of choices on the marvelous Golden Corral buffet.
Phenomenal shrimp. Delicious pot roast. Fabulous chili. Chicken cooked a dozen ways, literally. Marvelous salad bar. Tons of desserts. I mrean COME ON, people!
This one was just as good as all the others I've eaten at. Like Holiday Inn, no surprises, just a limitless bounty of terrific food.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0 - Jenna L.San Diego, CA1085062Dec 9, 2011
My parents went to this chain when they drove to Arizona and told me about it. I was excited to try it, because I love buffets, especially ones with tons of fried food and southern cooking. I only got 2 plates of food, but it was pretty good! I was surprised! I got this pot roast that was labeled "awesome pot roast". It fell apart when I touched it with my fork :) Salad of course, and Texas Toast that seemed like it was made out of sweet bread. So good! Mac & Cheese too... YUM!
The carbs at the buffet are always what fills you up... but they are my FAVORITE! I could eat carbs only for the rest of my life and be happy (well... ok... I might need some steak every now and then...:D). Potatoes, toast, mac & cheese, rice SO GOOD!
I know it's not the best food ever, but come on, it's an all you can eat buffet for super cheap - I say Golden Corral, not bad! :)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Myia B.Dallas, TX514716849Oct 9, 2011
I wouldn't go back.
The place needs to be renovated. The staff is friendly enough but this is darn near a dump. We had the buffet. Some of it was salty and a lot of it looked unappetizing. We skipped all of dessert and the salad station. The highlight was the made-to-order station where you could get sausage, steak, and seafood (none of which was fresh off the local rancher's truck or fisherman's boat). I grabbed some sausage and fish fillets. The place was just such a dump that even if the food was fantastic, you wouldn't notice. But I did notice that the final price tag was over $20 for all this loveliness?Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
