Golden Corral Buffet & Grill

The food was cold, had very little flavor. The roast beef was a mush pit of what may have been beef, carrots, celery, and onions. My wife's hush puppies, seafood cake, chicken and dumplings were cold. My wife told the manager about it and he went around with a thermometer to check the temperature of the food. He said everything was around 135 degrees. There is no ambiance in this restaurant. It has been remodeled, but that didn't do anything for the food.

I really like Golden Corral. The Lynchburg Golden Corral location is my favorite that I have visited. It is a casual buffet restaurant and my go-to place when I'm really hungry and don't want to spend a fortune on a meal. I usually go midday for a meal, and it's not usually too crowded. I love their roast beef, and they have a variety of food. The cooks are from a variety of ethnicities. There are different types of chicken, fish, pork, steak, vegetables, salads, and fruit. You also have a variety of desserts. I always go back for seconds. The restaurant is nothing fancy, but I like it. There is also a Golden Corral app. You can get points and rewards when you buy a meal. The wait staff is nice and attentive, and they don't bother you for attention.

All the food that I tried on this particular visit was great.
But with the hood there is also bad. The plates, bowls, and spoons that were staged and were in stacks at the food counter had residual food left on them. They had been partially washed and stacked while still disgusting. I moved several plates in multiple stacks and found the same results. Finally went to another location to get clean plates. Waitress was very nice but didn't speak the best English. If they get the cleaning together then they may have something!!

The best golden coral in the country, professional friendly staff, with the best crab cake, steak, fresh food, clean atmosphere. All the other golden coral should set this as an example!.

Food and service was good. I enjoyed the selections. Plan to return in the future with family

Hands down the worst breakfast in lynchburg. My wife and I decided to have breakfast this morning and we had not been here since pre covid so we gave it a shot and it was terrible so many things wrong...bacon was swimming in grease until several people filled to go boxes and wiped it out and no more was put out also hashbrowns were wiped out as well and they cook them in skillets on the grill very slowly ....they never were ready before we left.
Also the omelette station was a train wreck with one person who couldnt flip an omelette she had to put them on a plate to turn them and had 6 people waiting pretty much constantly....heres a tip for the manager do away with the taco bar crap and put in a extra omelette station and get two people that can auctully cook...will not return ..ever

The food is good, it's clean and the staff is friendly. Just wish it was a bit cheaper.

Dashawn made the best omelet I've ever had, and I have eaten around! This was a very pleasant surprise coming to a buffet for breakfast and getting such delicious, hot, made-to-order food!

We are in town visiting family & stopped in today to Golden Corral. It is delicious! Everything you could want and more! All hot and great variety. Our server was super awesome and checked on us many times. The managers were out on the floor and highly visible... making small talk with customers and giving high fives to the little kiddos! It was a great atmosphere and a great experience. Going to add to this: a lady was using a walker- staff came from behind the counter and walked with her to fix her food and help her to her table. I went to get change for a tip and the cashiers were talking a family and entertaining then little ones with questions about school and summer... another one asking another group friendly questions like where they are from and how they are enjoying the town.This is not only the best Golden Corral I've been to but the best restaurant!!

The food is so good to much to choose from the variety of things to pick from are endless recommend this place to everyone great for families so bring everyone
