This place is a quick easy and cheap resource for families and people with great hunger and a limited budget.
I have come in here a couple of times, mainly because my nieces absolutely are beside themselves with the idea of all you can eat food, even though they eat one plate and just want the ice cream. i do bring them here for their little heart pleasures.
i have never had a problem here, i do find that the food quality and food selection seem to be off now a days, the steaks are not good, they just are not quality cuts of meat so they are very fatty and chewy and the lines to get them are extremely long and the cooks really do not cook to the requested temperature, it is more of a rounding, ballpark temperature, it is close but not what you would expect for steak.
the desserts are my favorite because i love sweets and who doesnt love chocolate on their fruit? so i do enjoy that part. the service is what it is the server is there to make sure you have a drink in your possession and it full.... they are really good about clearing plates, i never have an abundance of plates sitting on the table.
I will keep returning as long as my nieces find this place to suite their needs, when that day comes i probably will not make any effort to come to golden corall I will miss their honey butter, that is some good butter!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 58179313Jan 5, 2024
I have been to a few Golden Corrals and this location was not my favorite. The food is typical and average, quality seemed consistent with each location. However, the atmosphere was not it. The bathrooms are sticky and stinky, kids are screaming and running around, and manners do not exist here. The issue is mostly the people that come here and the service that can be extremely slow. I wouldn't recommend coming here on the weekend or when it is crowded, but the unlimited steaks for dinner is worth the price, even if it makes your stomach hurt a bit.

Rosedale location is filthy lately. How do they get away with this?
You spend more time waiting for the food then eating the food.
Everything is over cooked or undercooked. Damn near broke a tooth on the uncooked kernels of rice in the Mexican rice
Poor Management
and they need to replace that stinky carpet. PU!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jay B.Oxford, GA3287133Nov 5, 2023
This franchise is off somewhere unfortunately. The steak was definitely not it for me. They were busy when I came in tho, but everything was either out or picked through . I was on my second place by the time my drinks came. I hope they get back to their former glory

What a disappointment. I don't even know what to chock it up to. Is it the location? It's not in a terrible part of town but further downtown than we live. Is it because they're trying to feed people in a post-pandemic (sorta) world? I dunno, but they are a giant chain of restaurants. Is it because there aren't a lot of good options even the buffet's like a a mile long? Or that it seems they've switched from double trays to single trays perhaps? (Like a buffet table worth five choices single row rather than two rows of five, so ten choices.) I dunno. It seemed different to me, but maybe it's always been that way.
That's the first time I've ever left a buffet without going for dessert, and not because I was too stuffed. Heck, I ate at a buffet today and stuffed down three different slices of pie and a slice of cake. The choices were all just...blah.
Lots of the foods seemed like they'd been sitting out forever. Then there were the choices of food that you only got to put out once the entire day because ain't nobody eating it. It's just "filler" food that few people enjoy, and I am by no means a picky eater.
The staff were pleasant and non stressed and even smiled and such, so I can't fault them because they were all working hard and representing and all.
It's just, after eating so much blasé food, I didn't want to put even more blasé dessert in my mouth.
One thing I noticed and really appreciated was the presence of disposable gloves with appropriately placed signage requiring use of gloves at the buffet. It was a minor convenience, but it's safer and gives the vibe of "don't touch it, take a bite, and put it back on the line" like I've actually witnessed people do elsewhere.
If I was an employee here, I'd probably have pleasant coworkers, messy and perhaps ungrateful guests to clean up after, and at least one delivery app on my phone to order me something else to eat while I sipped the Golden Corral coffee and mentally grumble at how the "higher ups" won't let us tweak the food to make it better.
I dunno. It's just not by any means up to the Golden Corral standards I'm used to, food-wise that is. And golly, but this place needs to vacuum their floors somehow at least once an hour if not more, even if it's those silent push vacuums that don't require electricity.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Shayna M.Owings Mills, MD189610Jun 21, 2023
This place is absolutely horrid, first all the food at the buffet was cold and hard.. definitely a health code violation. The server was nice enough but didn't make up for this other server who was there she was ridiculous loud and obnoxious cussing and hollering at her daughter while doing her duties like what is this a daycare lol. But seriously save your money and go somewhere else McDonald's is better lol

Two days before visiting this establishment my son called to make reservations for our family and was told that they don't take reservations unless you have 25 paying adults. This is the second worst Golden Corral that I've been too. My son's in the Military and was told that this stores does not give military discounts, but they gave us cups that request for people to donate to the military. Well I understand that this is Mother's Day but the cashier by the name of "Blessing" was very rude not only to me but to the rest of my family.
The manger Jackie G. also stated that they don't give military discounts to service members. Jackie G. Was helpful for the exchange of an in store meal to an to go plate.
After sitting for about an hour my daughter in law asked our server Blair O. if they have military discounts and was to pold yeah. Once at the front speaking to a different manager Esther who told us (my & I) due to my son & his wife and the rest of our family was here for about an hour; they couldn't refund the difference but was offered a coupon for a discounted meal (in which he turned down), we was also told that they give away food to the military once a year (which not the same or has anything as a discount). My family & I spent a total of $135.55 for seven adults, two children (a 10yro & a 1yro) with the server Blair O. busting her back to give ultimate service in which she did.
Golden Corral use to be an highly reputable establishment there will never be a third time due to this incident & the first incident a few years ago at another location, all I can say from my personal experience I would never recommend any of the Golden Corral establishments & if Chef Ramsay was to visit any of the restaurants the whole chain would be shut down which is terrible for those actually work hard to make their paycheck & tips on a daily basis.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Jadehatesu C.Philadelphia, PA01May 30, 2023
The bathroom is in poor condition, a worker was being unprofessional, holding a vape in her hand, one of the chefs is disrespectful , the utensils and dishes look dirty, and some of the food isnt cooked right or for any taste good Overall bad experience. -Student guests on May 30, 2023

Their forks and knives were dirty and not cleaned properly and the bathrooms were not cleaned there was crap on the toilet seats. They also said there's tea but when you drink it's literally coffee they just put a tea bag in it. In the men's bathroom there is literally semen in one of the stalls and someone saw two men go into the stall together. It honestly deserves a 0 but it won't let

Golden Corral is a staple restaurant as I'm sure most know. All you can eat, steak, hamburgers, salad bar, breakfast, desserts, etc. The place is usually crowded and loud so be prepared to be on the hunt for a clean empty table. But one thing I do not like is that masks are not made to be worn by patrons while getting food. They make you wear a glove, which half the people weren't doing as well. But that's my opinion on that. The waitresses are usually too busy to bring you plates, you have to ask them as they rush by. The bathroom is definitely not the cleanest... I recommend going during the weekday at lunch.
