My favorite clothing store in New Orleans by far. After shopping all the "cool" neighbourhood, its a fact, the best area is Marigny if you're vegetarian, not a 'tourist type' visitor or into street fashion at all. Gnome had an amazing selection of canvas shoes from $10! (this is new stuff people) and I got several shirts off their sale rack that I will treasure till they rot off me. I'm especially fond of their UZI selection, me and my boyfriend bought 4 of those alone. Sunglasses, jewelry, shoes and a bag of tees for under $100 and I will be back again and again.
Friendliest staff ever, helpful and interested.

      I adore this store.
It's a tiny place on lower Decatur filled with fantastic, clothes, shoes and accessories. The owner is a super friendly and helpful guy who has gone out of his way many times to help me find a specific item. The prices are fair and they've even priced matched for me. I can always count on Gnome when looking for a gift for someone else.

      WHAT A WONDERFUL STORE!

i can't express how amazing this store is. located near the french market in the french quarter is this very lovely boutique. when i walked in, i was immediately greeted by two young gentlemen. i have to say, i was immediately drawn by their accessory collection. i was so impressed by all the unique, one of a kind pieces! all at a very affordable price. i was able to chat with the employees and learned that they hand pick their selection at trade shows and local artists which allows them to sell their accessories at such low prices.

seriously, i wanted everything. i even told him i wanted everything! i ended up purchasing two necklaces, one ring and some john lennon inspired sunglasses for just $20! how can you not say no to this deal?

i highly recommend this boutique! if only i lived in the area, it would definitely be one of my top favorite spots. thanks gnome! if i'm ever in the area again, i will definitely stop by again and raid the place of your accessories!

Some shoes caught my eye in the window, I ended up buying them and two other items. The shoes were called Zurich, a brand from Utah. The one worker in there was very helpful, dude even matched the online price of the shoes and showed it to me on a laptop.

The other two items I bought he gave me cheaper than the tagged price, I didn't say a word. Til now at least. Um, the shop is small, yet it works. Dead stock Adidas stuff, other flannels and jackets I've never seen. Toms were huge in there, lots of styles. After I was done buying everything, dude was helping me with directions and advice back to Metartie. I totally walked back to Metarie with all my new items. Scary, but worth it.

This is one of my most favorite boutiques ever. If I need something unique to wear to an event, I can always count on Gnome. I have found everything from vintage dresses to super trendy hipster outfits here. The owner is a sweetheart and remembers me every time I am in, and knows just what to suggest for me. He's always changing around the store and there is new inventory all the time. You can tell he's got a passion for his store. Not only does he stock clothes and accessories, but he also has a wide selection of arthouse magazines and books, a great place to get someone a gift, and a little somethin for yourself too.

as Jasmine put it, the service was excellent! the employee was so friendly and chatty (even at the end of his workday and he probably had better places to be than work!). we were talking about our road trip and he was giving us valuable tips on cities we were yet to see!
i got a cute, sparkly wallet and my friend got a really nice outfit for the 4th of july. this was one of our few good service experiences in all of new orleans.

It is often difficult to go into small retail shops with children, even though the tazering helps with the more out-of-control moments... but I was in this store yesterday with my very fidgety 8 year old and my 11 year old who was dying to get her first pair of Toms. I also was able to buy what is now my favorite new purse. The gentleman behind the counter was so gracious and kind, and the vibe is great. Sure it's small, but cozy works well when there's that kind of genuine warmth. Deffo be there again!

Located next to Cafe Envie is a cute shop that stocks basics and treats for rocker/punk/fashion guys and gals. A friendly face in crowd, Gnome kept the store open late for us as we peruse shorts and shared the only fitting room. Wish it was our first stop in NOLA and not our last.

My friends and I were on vacation in New Orleans and stumbled upon Gnome. We almost didn't walk in because we were looking for the French Market. I'm so glad we did! They had such a fantastic selection of funky/unique jewelry for such an amazing price. I'm used to shopping in NYC and the people at Gnome could easily get triple the price for the pieces I got there. I couldn't believe it. My only regret is not purchasing more things!!
