Giovanni's Italian American Delicatessen

I stopped by this spot to pick up a sandwich and found it to be just decent. Although the prices were pretty good, the sandwiches are just alright. I got the california specialty sandwich. The lettuce didn't seem so fresh and it wasn't as packed as I liked. Although the cross section looks good, the ends barely had any filling. The bread was also a bit tough.

I went in to the deli today, and I noticed that the girl behind the register kept touching her mask and taking it off and on..I asked her to stop touching her mask and please wash her hands. She was also handling food. She got really angry and told me to leave and called the cops..i guess they do not care about customers health, and when approach about it, they throw you out. This is really bad, especially when the virus is spreading like wild fire..Be aware when going in this place

Tasty buffalo wraps (best I've had in awhile) and friendly staff! Parking isn't great though

I've been to this authentic Italian deli a number of times. They are very friendly, and have great names for their sandwiches from Italian neighborhoods from New York City and the surrounding areas. Names like the Arthur Ave, The Westchester and many more. The sandwiches are great and priced right, $29 for 3 sandwiches and two drinks. Come on! They also have real Italian essentials like pinnels. If you're passing Croton on 9A stop off at the Croton Point Ave stop and grab a sandwich. Mmmmmm good!

Absolutely love this eatery. The owners and the staff are always very friendly and working extra hard to get your order ready ASAP. They have a great selection for lunch that is fresh and delicious. You can tell that mom in the kitchen puts a lot of love into her cooking. I highly recommend the mama sandwich. Grilled chicken sandwich with broccoli rabbe, vinegar peppers, fresh mozzarella and balsamic dressing! Excellent!

Stopped by this place on a Friday at noon after spending my morning taking a long run in the woods. I was starving. The place is full of costumers who are mostly burly men that I can only assume know their deli food. I was not disappointing.

The place smells awesome and had tons a sandwich options, soups, hot food and salads. I went with the NY Yankee (grilled chicken, bacon, lettuce, tomato and chipotle dressing on a roll).

Staff was friendly and worked fast. Sandwich was perfect. Fresh, tasty and I wish I could buy that chipotle dressing bottled up. Pretty sure this place is owned and operated by all women which makes it even more badass.

Looking forward to tackling the menu sandwich by sandwich!

If your near or at the new cronton gorge, definitely take the time to stop by here and grab some sandwiches. Best deli sandwiches I've had in a long time, would recommend to all my friends and family. Thanks again for a delicious filling meal.

Great deli but be careful when pulling in and out. Only a few parking spaces so better off to come at non-peak lunch hours (12-2) or park on the road if available.

My fav thing about this place is their soups! They make some innovative type stuff that isn't your normal 'chicken noodle.' I once had a turkey sausage, kale, sweet potato concoction and it remains on my list as one of the best I have ever had, anywhere!

Sandwiches are good though on the smaller side when compared with other local delis I've frequented. I wish they would amp them up a bit more flavor wise; and pack in some more filling.

Overall, a place I would recommend for a quick bite.

Love this place! I work right down the street at most times it's my go to. Especially when they have their chicken & rice special!

Deeeeelish! Great location right next to the train station so easy to pick up breakfast, coffee or lunch in the way to work in the morning. Super friendly service. They were attentive and quick and the sandwich was just what I wanted. Would definitely go back to try more items on the menu.
