Giorgio Elan

I went to Giorgio Elan for the first time today. I had my hair both colored and cut. I could not have made a better choice, even if I had scoured the Internet for hair salons in the entire Chicago metro area!

I was greeted cordially, and there was a friendly, casual vibe to the place. I have found that some salons, like health clubs, make you feel like your hair should already look perfectly coiffed, or you shouldn't have the nerve to book a hair appointment (or, in terms of the health club, that you should already have a perfect body in order to join.)

George, who both colored and cut my hair, did an absolutely amazing job. He consulted me about the color, and showed me some color samples, to make sure that I was happy with the end result. I've always been annoyed by hairstylists who do what is trending, and don't take into consideration a person's age or personality. For instance, I would love to have teal, turquoise, and lime green hair, but, sadly, I know that I couldn't pull it off.

George was very meticulous about covering all of my gray hair (and there was quite a bit of it.) The cut was also perfect (just enough of a trim to give my hair some shape, without losing the length.) Have you ever gone home from a hair salon in tears because you had short hair and wanted your hair to stay long? I have cried nearly every time I have visited a new salon (beginning at the tender age of three) because my hair was not cut the way I wanted, and the bangs were always short and uneven, making me look like Leonard Nimoy on "Star Trek." I couldn't be more pleased with the color and the cut at Giorgio Elan, both of which were flawless!

The shop was extremely clean. There wasn't a single clump of hair on the floor. Not even a single hair. I will definitely be going back. Highly recommended!

I can't recommend Giorgio Elan enough. If you are looking for a salon that combines skill, professionalism, and friendly atmosphere, this is the place to go. My stylist, Marjola, has an amazing sense of style. I have recommended this place to many of my friends and they are now regular customers.

Visiting from out of town and wanted a blowout. Always look to yelper reviews when away from home. One of my least favorite things to do is dry my own hair as it is frizzy and I have so much of it! Salon was friendly, prompt and listened to what I wanted. Owner George was courteous and made sure I was happy with results. Have used blow dry salons in the past for this and they never seem to really DRY my hair. I would definitely return to this salon next time I'm in town. They also carry Moroccan Oil products so I was able to grab that there too.

Highly recommend this salon. Great atmosphere. Very professional. I always leave satisfied with every service.

I got my hair bleached and toned here and I specifically asked them if they were going to use Olaplex because I have used it before and they said they were. My hair was ripping off when they were done. They told me to to a hair mask so I thought I would give that a shot before getting mad. I wanted a dark blonde my hair is black now. And the next day my hair is so damaged to the point where it is falling off. Don't know if I should go back and ask for a refund because I paid 120 then gave them a 20 tip....don't know if I should ask for a refund. I am so mad.

Been going to salon FOREVER. Great professional enjoyable stylists. Pick one anyone. George, Helen, Renee and Sophia Thank you for years of always having a good hair day.

So I was driving down Milwaukee last Tuesday, June 17th, thinking that I really needed a hair cut. I was looking along on my drive and came upon Giorgio Elan. I pulled in hoping that they had an opening. Also thinking that this is a really bad idea. I had read no reviews about this place and am someone that never does anything like this on a whim. I always usually go to Mario tricoci for my hair cut. I walked in and was promptly greeted but a nice woman. I asked if they had and opening and after checking with Giorgio himself he was able to get me in. I waited about 10 minutes before he sat me down and went over what I wanted to do. I went back for my wash and my hair cut promptly started. Now I'm still a little apprehensive as I have no experience with this place. What happen next was, well, amazing. I had the best haircut and blow out of my life! I walked out of there feeling like Kate Middleton. I was so blow away by this hair cut! While I was in the chair we talked about different things I can do with my hair. He suggested Velcro rollers and since I have no experience with them he said to stop by anytime and he would show me how to use them. I took a gamble by just walking into and unknown, to me, salon on a whim for a hair cut but it payed off big time! I will now be coming here for all my hair care needs! I'm so so so happy. This place is a big thumbs up!!! Thank you Giorgio!

I 've been there 4 times and I m very satisfied! Mariola does excellent work she is simply awesome! I totally recommend this salon!!!The best in the area.I can't wait to go back!

I made an appointment for my daughter to have an 'up-do' and her make-up done for a dance. George did an amazing job on her hair, it looked so beautiful!! My daughter was thrilled with the outcome! Sophia also did a wonderful job on her make-up. I would high recommend services from both. I really appreciated their flexibility, fitting me in at the last minute and working to make my daughter's day very special.
