Gerber Collision & Glass

I received excellent service. My car was damaged while I was driving on the interstate. I called my insurance and they sent everything over to Gerber.

Soon after Gerber called me to set up an appointment and after we set the date everything was taken cared of. I only waited 3 days, which I think isn't bad at all! Forgive the after picture, it was taken a week after the repair so the car was a little dirty. Gerber returned my car very clean to me.

Unfortunately I've had to have a few vehicles towed here. Fortunately Gerber employees are compassionate, thorough, kind, and quick. Sensing my urgency, they even took time out of their break to answer my questions. I had my answer before the end of the day. I highly recommend Gerber Collision!

I went to Collision Revision at Normal IL for a windshield replacement. I was directed to their facility by my auto glass shop GlassAmerica. I truly think the service I received at Collision Revision is exceptional.

The facility was very well maintained. It had a pretty spacious customer parking lot right in front of the building. In the bright and roomy lobby there were comfortable sofa and a small coffee bar serving hot coffee and bottled water. The restroom was very clean, too. It was a very pleasing environment that definitely help ameliorating a bad mood after a collision, if any customer was involved in one.

The staff was very friendly and professional. The people there from front desk receptionist to repair specialist were very well trained. They practiced excellent customer service skills by paying attention to details such as asking if customer needed something to drink, opening doors for customer, handing documents and key to or taking from customer gently, telling you the way to workshop or restroom before you ask them... The lady at the front desk was very amiable; she spent some time talking with me, and the length of our talk neither made me feel too boring while I was waiting for my car to be fixed, nor made me feel over obligated to involve in a conversation. She must had been very considerate.

I actually told them that my car had rain sensor, but it actually did not. When the repair specialist noticed this inconsistency, he quickly informed me and asked me whether I would like to continue the replacement with the part the got (interchangeable) or to schedule another appointment, maybe at a nearer facility. I agreed on continuing the job, and he completed the job within a very reasonable amount of time. One thing that really made me kind of touched is that he replaced two stickers and one transponder from my old broken windshield and placed them accurately on the new one. This is indeed praiseworthy.

The staff lived up to their commitment to customer service so I definitely recommend this repair shop to all.


I do have one question regarding the windshield replacement. When speed exceeds 60 or 70 mph there is a strange wind noise from the center of the lower molding. I have never noticed this prior to the replacement. I found that there are some uneven gaps between the molding and the glass surface. Is this normal? Will the gaps close as time goes? How could I contact the repair specialist who worked on my car? Thanks!

Could not be happier with choosing Gerber. I got in a car accident and had my car towed to Gerber. The insurance company had decided that my car was totaled. I was a wreck. How was I going to by another dependable car?
I went to Gerber to collect my things out of my totaled car & the man that had led me to my car was SO SWEET. I think he could tell I had been crying haha. He assisted me in every way possible- helped me gather my things, pulled my rental car up to my totaled car so i didn't have to carry my things across the parking lot, was so apologetic about the whole situation.
Then, after the insurance company adjusted my car's value, they decided that it was not totaled and they were going to fix it, YAY! It took Gerber even LESS time to fix it then what they had anticipated, and my car looked GREAT. Looked like nothing ever happened to it! The paint looked perfect, everything was done so well.
Not to mention the wonderful work they do, but everyone there is so kind & is always willing to assist you. Go with Gerber!!!
