Garrett's Run Shop

I am giving this store a 5 star rating for the excellent customer service I received over the phone. I called in searching for a soccer jersey for my friend who is in need of one. The gentlemen on the phone informed me they did not have any but he went above and beyond to let me know other places he suggested. He did not have to do that. I was so appreciative for him doing that for me. I was searching for a friend who is blind and whomever answered helped me.

I would highly recommend this store for the excellent service and I will definitely be coming back here!!

My family and I were visiting from the San Francisco Bay area and wanted to get running shoes before we left the Bay to run in Manhattan Beach. We were researching online and went to a few local Bay Area stores, but many of them were not helpful and lacked running knowledge/details that we needed. We've ran 5Ks, 10Ks and 1/2 Marathon's for awhile, but haven't been motivated for awhile, since we have a demanding 2 year old.......

Well, visiting Garrett's was both motivational and inspiring.

Garrett's knowledge of running and Daniel's knowledge of foot wear/products, were the greatest pair of minds you could put together.

I would not hesitate to drive 6 hours + to talk to them again at Garrett's store and get more informed and educated on their running and product knowledge.

Best running store in Southern California, hands down! Located right in the center of Manhattan beach Garretts run shop has the perfect beach feel with the classic run shop atmosphere. Garrett is the most knowledgeable sales rep I have ever met when it comes to running apparel, he truly cares about your needs and always wants to find a solution. They have a awesome run club on Wednesday nights that accommodate all levels of runners! Just moved to hermosa and am glad I found Garretts run shop!

Firstly, my Girlfiend and I stopped at the Village Runner where the sales person casually assessed her as a neutral stance. She then pointed at the most expensive pair of shoes on the wall. My Girlfiend interrupted the sales person to tell her about the pains she had to which the sales person remarked she wouldn't need to buy Nikes anymore. After noticing the complete indifference to her needs, I suggested we leave and go somewhere else.

We decided to try Garrett's run shop, upon entering we were greeted by Garrett himself. Garrett then asked her to walk and noted that she had an extreme over pronation and asked further questions. Garrett blew us away with his knowledge and expertise and suggested what the cause of her running problem had been. All in all, He recommended a specific pair of shoes to correct the problem, was extremely professional and knowledgeable.

Today we ran 4 miles and as promised, the knee pain previously experienced went away. So again, I highly recommend that you shop here!

Beyond the necessary qualities of a good run shop, Garrett's provides a great community for runners of all levels. You can stop by during the week for a chat with the owners and a game of "Giant Jenga"or Wednesday right after close for run club with a fun turn out, new courses, and raffles every week.

Garrett is the man! Helped my mom get a nice pair of running shoes to explore Manhattan Beach and beyond with. Really nice, knowledgeable guy that helped us out in a pinch. Thanks, Garrett-- the shoes worked out great!

Great family operation in Manhattan Beach. I'm not a runner but I needed a sweatshirt and popped in there. Great purchase and friendly father daughter duo working the store.
