If I was rating this place on appetizers I'd give it a five star. Superb appetizers. That's what makes the entrees so confusing because they were boring and in many cases bad.
For appetizers, the fried mozzarella balls were these buttery crispy fried outsides with melt-in-your-mouth mozzarella inside. Delicious.
The other appetizer we had was the fried zucchini which was some of the best I've ever had. Perfect crunchy snap in every bite, not overcooked or wilted. Dipped in a creamy ranch.
But for entrees, the spaghetti was boring, the fettuccine was kind of yuck, and the chicken Parmesan was dry and largely tasteless.
Portions are huge. Staff were okay. Wish the whole meal was as great as the appetizers.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - amedeo n.Covina, CA030Feb 7, 2023

Love is in the air at The Garlic Clove
Saw this cute little Italian place Hubby and I drove by and had to stop in.
Our experience couldn't have been more perfect!
We were greeted very warmly and cheerfully.
I was excited to try something new and on the fly.
And as were quickly seated, I noticed quite a few customers enjoying their entrees - relieved
Order was taken immediately and I chatted with a young couple who had a few suggestions to try the next time I visit, pastrami and the tour of Italy.
The stuffed mushrooms was the best. I could have eaten a huge bowl of the sauce it accompanied. Pizza was Delish! Cheese so stretchy and yummy.
Jessica our service is The BEST! She goes over and beyond for her customers. Jessica is so caring. Always putting her customers first.
Your heart shines brighter than a diamond!
Thank you for all you do Jessica.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Sep 7, 2019
Cute hole in the wall.
Servers a bit distracted but kind.
Only ordered a light meal of fried mozzarella and salad, mozzarella was uniquely prepared in a light crisp crust and giant balls.
Fun place with good looking buffet.
Would return if in the neighborhood,Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nanette C.Toms River, NJ0142131Jan 19, 2019
Reminds me of good old grandma's.
Large portions, great flavors, lots of variety...terrible pricing.
My guess is because it is along the 66, you pay California prices.
Will only go there for date nights.
Easy to find, good parking, and easy dining...Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 7, 2019
It doesn't look like much, but I can see why it has so many good reviews. I was just in town for one night, I was passing through from visiting the Grand Canyon and decided to stop in Kingsman to rest. This place was one minute down the road from my hotel so I thought why not. I walked in and was immediately greeted by one of the waitresses. I told her is my first time here and she told me that I could sit wherever I wanted. Then she brought me a menu. I got breadsticks, eggplant parm sandwich, and a side salad, with a raspberry tea. My waitress always made sure that my tea was filled. She was running all over the place but she was doing very efficient work. I got my food within 10 to 15 minutes. The breadsticks are delicious, you can tell they are homemade, not that Olive Garden stuff. I'm a vegetarian so I asked if they could switch out the meat sauce on the eggplant parm sandwich, and they or able to do it no problem. I know some places I've been to tell me it cannot be done because the stuff is already pre-made, but I was very thankful they were able to do it here. The eggplant parm sandwich was Unreal. So delicious. When I first picked it up I did it slowly and there was just so much stringy fresh mozzarella coming off of it. It was like one of those commercials you see when somebody picks up the pizza and the cheese is all stringy. It was so delicious and very well cooked. It wasn't super busy when I went in, but I'm sure the place is bumping during other times of the day. Two thumbs up for food and for service. I highly recommend this little Italian joint!

I ordered a delivery order last night, Veal Parmesan. I asked for extra sauce on my pasta and butter with my bread. The veal was so over cooked I couldn't cut it with my plastic knife and had to pick it up and bite off of it. The spaghetti had almost no sauce on it and I only could eat about five bites before all the sauce was gone. The little side salad was good, I ate that and the two 1/2 pieces of French bread with no butter because they didn't send any. Maybe this place is OK if you dine in and can send stuff back but don't order a to go or delivery order. See the picture of the dry pasta, very disappointing for the money!

Visit on 5/17/17:
Haven't been here in two years. Still a solid place with good service, but the garlic cream sauce in my alcomo wasn't as garlicky as I was expecting, and had a somewhat runny, watery consistency. Maybe I need to stick with what I've previously ordered and enjoyed next time. Dad liked his veal, though, and the portions were generous as always.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Jun 3, 2015Previous reviewGreat pizza! We got half pesto and half red sauce with sausage. Also got a calzone to go. Not only did they upgrade our salad at no extra charge, they were super friendly and helpful to us out-of-towners with directions and recommendations when we were stuck. Awesome service. Thanks to Amanda and the guy, I think his name is David.

My husband and I ate here for the first time and couldn't have been happier. We got Jess as our server and she was just the sweetest. Quality of service was superb and fast. We're new here to Kingman and it was nice to finally feel welcome in a restaurant and to see a friendly smile. I got the seafood pasta and it was amazing and had far more seafood than I expected. My husband ate the veal parm and was very happy with the result. We started with the bruschetta which was also excellent. Over all I'd come back any day and this is certainly one of the better restaurants we have here in town.

Oh my, this was quite discusting‼ Ordered the managers special pasta. It seemed to have a large variety of ingredients, and,it was afterall called "The manager's special". It was like eating a bowl of half sautéed onions, both red and white. I love onions,I love sautéed onions too. Eats lots of onion all the time. BEWARE! THIS IS A DISH OF ONIONS AND NOT MUCH OTHER FLAVOR GOING ON HERE. I salted three times but not much luck. I am an army guy and I can eat almost anything. Not this,I couldn't do it. Two glasses of lemon water and a slice of pizza and the onion mouth still remains. Not good.
The pizza was so so. It had a weird after taste. Maybe it was my onion tongue Yuck, double yuck‼ And I came here because someone else posted a picture of this same dish. Never eating here again. I hope tooth paste gets rid of the flavor.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
