G5 Tint Shop

Another great tint job this time on my new 2015 Prius Huper Drei 35% all around adds a slight green hue to the window keeps alot of the heat out and looks good.

Where do I start???

I have never been to a place where they really explain into detail all the tint info. Ricky was really nice and was not pushy on what to get. My car looks so nice . I'm the limo type of girl but I wanted something different this time around. I ended up getting 15% on the front windows and 5% on the rear I like how it's looking right now. I know it's going to look even better after I get my car washed.

I was referred to G5's Alhambra store by a friend and was told they just had a Pasadena location opened. This location is by appointment only. I made an appointment with Ben and he's wonderful. He is super friendly. He took the time to explain to me the various tints. He even brought the tint films out to my car to demonstrate colors to the real effect instead of just me looking at swatches.

The location is small but very clean with a small waiting room. The prices are very reasonable with 6 or 7 different brand/price choices, each with different colors. They don't push you to the expensive brands and just answer all my questions objectively. I chose the middle of the road line.

The service is excellent. Ben is a perfectionist and meticulous. If there are any imperfections, he would start over and redo the tint. The car was ready at the time indicated.

I am very impressed with the level of work done. Ben is really patient in explaining to me the things I need to remember while waiting for the tint to cure. He walked me around the car and explained everything to me and answered all my questions.

A wonderful shopping experience. I would recommend him to all my friends.

This review is written for my brother. He recently got his car tinted at G5 and he is not up to date on digital tech for writing reviews. Ricky and his staff at G5 service is outstanding. Very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about getting the right tint for your car. My brother ended up using the Formula One Pinnacle ceramic film and is very happy with the end results. Installation is done with upmost attention to detail and even wrap the door panels to protect from water sprays. We definitely will be coming back to tint our new cars.

I've come to G5 from the very beginning when they first opened here in Pasadena working with Ben and now Ricky. I've had 4 cars tinted here now and it's been all perfect tints jobs. Precision cut and all the way to the very edge of the glass. Great film selection as well.

Ricky always comes through when I need him. Ricky and his team are very critical of their work which puts me at ease because then I don't have to be....as much. They are very pleasant to deal with, have great customer service and even follow up with you the following week to ensure everything is still going well. He uses the best products on the market. Has many options to suit every budget and my only regret is that I moved out of state and can no longer utilize his services. I have and will continue to refer him to everyone I know since they are literally THE BEST tint shop in LA.

So, my wife decides to work with family and get the windows of my car tinted as a birthday gift. I've been wanting to get this done for a while and she searches and decides on G5.

First off, Ben is AWESOME. He took his time explaining everything to me and making sure I understood the pros and cons of every possible tint option. He explained California vehicles laws so I knew which windows could be tinted and how much. Once the decision was made, there was no note of disappointment that I didn't go higher. Just pure professionalism from start to finish.

The materials seem to be top-notch. The tint was applied back in December of last year and I have had no peeling, no wrinkles, nothing bad at all - just a dimmer, cooler (temperature-wise) car. When I picked up my car, Ben explained - very clearly, I add - what I should and should not do and for how long. Even gave me a print-out with the information so I could check it later in case I forgot (which I did).

I have no experience with any other tint place, but after meeting Ben and doing business with him, I don't want any other experience. It can only go downhill from here.

I have taken a few cars to Ricky and his team and I live 120 miles away!!! I refuse to go anywhere else because G5 does an amazing job and doesn't make a mess. The tiny bubbles after install go away as promised, leaving an amazing tint. He gives you the truth and not a bunch of BS that other places do and he isn't pushy about your choice. He provides facts and benefits and guides you to the right window choice and is very professional and knowledgeable.

I had my car tinted back in 2012. In 2015 there was a corner of my window where the tint was starting to peel off, this could of been due to rolling up and down the window where the rubber seal rubbed the tint film. Ricky honored the Lifetime warranty that came with the tint and took care of me. They are usually very busy and its better you make an appointment but I just dropped off the car in the morning and they had to done the same day before close.

Highly recommend G5 Tint, they have high qualify tint options and various types of tint to choose from.

I am very pleased with my tint job. Ricky is extremely knowledgeable about all the nuances of my (and any) car and he inspires a lot of confidence that he and his workers will do a great job.

He recommended the front windshield to get tinted but I was hesitant at first because it is not something I even considered. Within a day after getting all the other windows tinted I went back for the front and I am glad I did. I just took a 1800 mile road trip through 90+ degree desert heat and never had to turn the AC up more than two clicks on the fan speed. The front window tinting makes a huge difference in keeping the cabin cool! Make sure whatever type of tint you get on the front window does not look funny with your polarized sunglasses.
