I've been a client for years yet I've never written a review. Time to correct that now! I've come here for wax services and never left disappointed. Lidia is a gem and Debbie and the team are great. I've always been able to call and get my preferred appointment time, true before and since the pandemic. Almost always same-day. Gotta love and appreciate the convenience! Prices are also reasonable and you can find them listed on the website. As I'm there for brows & face, my appointments are timely and without a long wait. Masks are required and the salon is clean from my observation. They are also located right by the Farragut North Station downtown. If you're in need of some good personal grooming services, I definitely recommend Fusion.

I've been going to Kathy for trims for over a year now. I walked by this salon downtown DC and was surprised to see a Black stylist. I inquired and her prices are so much more reasonable for natural hair. She's also very respectful of my time, I was in and out in 70 minutes today. A wash, quick blow out and she got all those messed up ends I hadn't taken care of this year. She would normally style it afterwards, but today I said let's leave it. I love it, another client complimented it as I left.

If you're looking for a relaxing, comfortable (As comfortable as they could be), and personable Brazilian wax, please go see Lidia! I've been seeing Lydia over the course of four years and she has always been as gracious and professional as ever. She really sets the room for the pain your probably about to endure with perfect lighting, soothing music, and her sweet voice reassuring you throughout the process. Unfortunately, I'm leaving DC so I won't be seeing Lydia too soon but I thought I'd write a review for you ladies. I implore you to go see her! She's amazing! And your lady bits will look amazing afterwards. Gonna miss you Lidia and Fusion day spa!!

Kathy is the best stylist around and I have been pleased with her service since I moved to DC in 2019!! Unfortunately, Fusion salon is no longer open but you can still receive Kathy's red carpet treatment at Molecule Salon, that is right around the corner!!

This was a strange place!

I was from out of town and made appointments for a mani-pedi and hair wash and blowdry-styling for an event that evening.

The receptionist was friendly.

The nail technician was friendly and did a good job.

After that, the experience went downhill. I was directed to the back. After leaving the front where the receptionist and the nail tech were, no one talked to me for a long time! No one explained what was going to happen or by whom. I was approached by a diffident young woman​ who quietly washed my hair and then she quietly took​ to me to a chair in a hairstyling station. Then I just sat there, and sat there, and sat there, with no one speaking to me or telling me why I was sitting there.

After a good long while,​ a stylist approached me. She was an older woman who should have known to show good manners, but instead,​ she didn't introduce herself. When I left, I still didn't know her name and she never asked me for mine. In fact, other than asking what I wanted, it took her quite a while to show enough interest in me to talk to me at all, even as she was working on my head.

After she asked me what I wanted, she kept leaving me in the chair to go work on someone else, without saying anything to me about it. It was obvious I'd been squeezed in, but paying what I was paying for the service, I should never have been made to feel that way.

Eventually, about halfway through, she showed a little interest in me and asked me about myself, chatting with me, and stopped leaving me to just sit there.

I did not like the style. It looked like a helmet, like a "stewardess" in the 1960s would have worn, which today is an old-lady look. I went back to my hotel room and brushed it down until it was half the height and laid softly as​ a contemporary style should look. I paid $30 for Uber rides and $60 plus two tips for the stylist and hair washer​ for that hairstyling experience.

I'd go back to the nail tech, but I'll never book a hair appointment at Fusion Day Spa again.

I went to for a brazilian wax but I can't remember the name of the esthetician I saw. It was close to Thanksgiving and at one point, her boyfriend called to discuss the Thanksgiving shopping list. She ends up shouting over the walls to the receptionist, who has the boyfriend on the phone, to discuss the grocery list. Awkward and unprofessional. Then at the end, she puts baby powder on my ladyparts without asking. No thanks.

JL did a fantastic job with my hair. My hair is healthy looking and he took the time to provide suggestions which was very helpful. I would definitely recommend JL since he is amazing.

What a fantastic experience I had at Fusion Day Spa.

I came here using a Groupon, and given my experience with past DC salons using Groupon, I was expecting rude receptionists, poor service, and hidden charges.

OPPOSITE. The friendliest and most helpful receptionist I may have ever encountered in my life. And hands down the BEST Brazilian wax I've ever gotten.

You may think I'm inclined to exaggeration but I am not. I have had dozens of waxes at dozens of places all over this dang country and THIS WAS THE BEST. I felt NO PAIN and it was over in TEN MINUTES. LADIES TEN MINUTES and afterwards i was SMILING there was so little pain. Seriously!!! Going home, on the metro, SMILING bc instead of feeling any pain, I actually feel GOOD.

THAT. NEVER. HAPPENS.

Go here. Request Dee. Smile and say hello to the receptionist. Also, fun fact, Dee used a combo of soft and hard wax like a genius.

I hadn't written a Yelp review in three years, and came on to write this one. Over someone ripping the hair out of my sensitive area. IT WAS THAT GOOD.

I had JL do a color and cut of my hair after the pandemic quarantine. He discussed my thoughts on a new color and a style change. He did an excellent job of realizing my description. I am more than pleased with my style and color. In addition, he gave me tips on styling my hair at home. I highly recommend JL.
