A great find in Tunkhannock.
As we pulled into the parking lot after a day of hiking, my mother exclaimed "We've had such a hard time finding a place to eat. This will be perfect, because we were obviously meant to find it today."
We had been driving for almost an hour. We were muddy from a hike, and had a dog in the car, so we could not eat at a true sit down restaurant. My mother is diabetic, so a scoop of ice cream at the dairy bars we passed did not work. We are all picky, so we passed one possibility after another, until we saw the sign. "Full Belly Deli" Perfect!
My mother ordered a scoop of tuna salad, no bread, please. I ordered a BLT on rye, with a smear of horseradish. My son ordered a small Italian hogie with mustard and a stack of veggies. I'm so happy he ordered the small!

The deli is small, but clean. It has seating for maybe 15 people, and a handy rest room. Plenty of parking and friendly staff round things out nicely, and their prices were reasonable.
Funny moment. While deciding what to order I looked over and noticed a man wearing a "local" Hawaii shirt (I not late, I stay on Hawaiian time!) and had to comment. Turns out he summers in PA and winters in Hawaii. The chance meeting had nothing to do with the deli itself, but made me feel at home.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0
