Ah Syracuse...land of the Asian cuisine buffets! I will admit to you all right now...although I eat at some pretty fancy shmancy restaurants, I love my Asian buffets. I have eaten at pretty much all of them in Syracuse, a few of which sadly have passed on to the great buffet in the sky. There are quite a few that stand out in Syracuse and Fuji is one of them.
The food here has a lot of your standard favorites like pepper steak and chicken and broccoli but they also have some more traditional dishes like chicken feet. For those that don't know, chicken feet isn't something you see at a buffet very often. It's often served at dim sum restaurants and is a dish that my Chinese family loves.
The food is really good here! I love all the beef and chicken dishes and I never have enough room on my plate. They also have this triple meat dish that is delicious! One thing I love about this buffet is they will often have special dishes for special occasions (i.e. Mothers Day or Chinese New Year) where they will serve things like lobster and whole blue crabs.
I highly recommend this buffet over some of the others (not that those aren't good too). I will say the main reason I dropped a star though, is that it can be uncomfortably humid inside. Sometimes it's perfectly fine but other days it feels like I am the one on a steam table.
They also have a deal for bubble tea and college students which I find awesome...a deal I am quite jealous of. Check em out!Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Cassie M.East Syracuse, NY5753Jun 4, 2017
I loved this place. Past tense. Today, I came here with my husband, son and my husbands service dog. The food is still good. However, due to lack of training, I am guessing, employees do not know rules and regulations regarding service animals or the people with disabilities act.
The server requested we leave the dog at the table when we visited the buffet. Would they ask someone in a wheelchair to leave the wheelchair at the table? I think not. If sanitation was their concern, as any good service dog, she ignored everything, was not sniffing, was not jumping up or drawing attention in any way. Will we come back? Highly unlikely.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Michael F.Syracuse, NY0191Aug 8, 2019

I like this place, I believe it is the best buffet compared to the alternative. I can get very muggy inside, almost to the point where you can't breath. Service is ok, food is decent enough. Sushi is pretty good for a buffet. The soups are decent.
Quite honestly my favorite thing is the sushiHelpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Kelly C.Baldwinsville, NY59571Feb 3, 2016
I was hoping that years had improved the food at this restaurant, sadly NO! I was excited to see sushi rolls added along with Seagrass and edamame. DO NOT try the sushi. It was old and fishy. The Seagrass and edamame were good.
The food itself on buffet was lackluster. The pepper beef dish was void of flavor and tough. I tried various chicken dishes that were meh to passable. They had American food (frozen pizza, fish, salad, fruit) all just ok. I had chocolate pudding, cookie and mandarin oranges for desert, my son had mint chocolate ice cream. It cost 20.00 for 2 buffets and 2 sodas. This money would have been better spent at Wendy's (sad to say). So if you are looking for a chinese buffet don't go here and I'd be hard pressed to say there are any good ones left.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Gates N.North Brunswick, NJ1165Jul 24, 2015
It's around 9PM. We sweat our way through a set at Lost Horizon, and in lieu of visiting Paradise Found strip club adjacent, we thought it'd be wise to indulge in a buffet experience. To say we were overjoyed to fill our faces with as much General Tso's and rib tips would be generously understating it.
As we walked down the back road behind the venue, we followed a red neon "BUFFET" sign like a moth to flame. The inside of the restaurant was as expected and exactly what we wanted. They had dollar drinks; what could go wrong?
I personally had four plates of food. Choices ranged from frog legs to watermelon, "mac in cheese" and chicken feet. Mike says the pizza was good. They cut us off at two margaritas; my only complaint at the moment of consumption. Everything seemed fine, we left satiated and plump, and headed for Philly.
The issue was what happened the following two days. Let's just say, it's like there was a tub full of water, really dirty brown water, like some hobo took a bath in there, some gross hobo and there's just this smell building up, and now imagine your butt is the drain, and the plug comes out with a bit of force but then you just can't stop it after that and you're late for work the next day.
So I guess just go in prepared for that.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Rosita M.Northside, Syracuse, NY511624Oct 10, 2017
$12.49 per person.... kind of pricey for this buffet. They were variety of choices, however not enough to be this pricey. There was a rotten milk type smell by the seafood on the back that made it hard to pick anything from that display. Labels were not available on all the food. The water on the ice cream scooper was dirty. The server waited close by until we were ready and followed us to the register to get her tip; I think. That made me a bit uncomfortable... The staff seem friendly and for the most part the restaurant was mostly clean.

The food was pretty good. Their best dishes were the general chicken, the spicy chicken and the shrimp dumplings. Their sushi was also great. The honey chicken and peanut chicken were extremely dry and highly disappointing. All in all though it was much better than the Empire down the road and the cocktail drink prices are amazing!!

As far as China buffets go, I've been to much better. They just didn't do a good job. The food was either starchy, overcooked and not even very hot. The peel and eat shrimp were mushy. There was really nothing else there that was remotely appetizing. I did have the chicken, I think. The quality just wasn't there. They were reasonable and included the beverage in the price. I'd say it's better than fast food, but not by much. They have a deal if you want a beer, it's only an extra dollar.

Our tour bus stopped here for lunch. I've been to many Chinese buffets in the US and none of them were very good. This is actually one of the better ones and it even has sushi.
I'm not too familiar with the town but if you are a visitor or just taking a break on a long road trip, I would recommend you give this a try. It will get you full for cheap.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
