Who passed by Fuddruckers recently? I didn't see what the sign said on the door but is it closing or are they renovating?

Is there any outdoor seating?

They closed a couple of years ago. Uncertain if they had outdoor seating or not. Per the COVID regulations back then they had operated as a take out only establishment.

Oh the cheese sauce, where are you cheese sauce.
Well, with the Covid restrictions, you pay inside and have to eat outside.
Social distancing in effect, hand sanitizer all over the place, and all staff wearing masks and gloves.
All burgers are normally pre packed with the following: lettuce, tomato and pickles. In small solo cups: mustard, mayo and ketchup.
If you want the cheese sauce, be sure to ask for it, it will appear as an additional solo cup.
I ordered my elk burger medium well, this prevented it from being too runny and causing the burger bun from getting soggy. So with everything still dry, I assembled my burger, and added my sauces and it was delicious.
Pre Covid, I remember being to walk up to the condiment bar and adding crazy things like kim chee, hot peppers and other items and throwing them into my burger, but atlas no more. Back to basics, and still a great burger.
In the past I have also tried the buffalo, ostrich, Emu (both like a turkey burger). So many choices. Onion rings are my favorite side.
If you don't want burgers, there are hot dogs, chili dogs, chicken sandwiches, and (gasp!) salads to choose from
With so many choices, you can't missHelpful 3Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0 - Apple B.San Francisco, CA377127Feb 19, 2023
Neither the cashier nor the menu specify that the beyond burger came with wheat bread. I think that is something they should ask, if I want to keep the wheat bread or not. The burger was extremely dry. When I asked about the bread being wheat, she was really rude for no reason as if I should've known it came with wheat bread. I was not rude so I don't know why she was. The quality of the food at this location is not good. The service is horrible as well.

Service extremely slow. I would expect with a busy weekend/Sunday you would offer two cashiers to take orders. I was 3rd in line at 1230 and it took 15 minutes to get a simple order in.
Limited seating because many tables were dirty. However food came somewhat fast.Helpful 27Thanks 0Love this 20Oh no 0Business owner information

I came here using a gift card I got a few years ago. I'm from San Francisco and I never heard of Fuddruckers before. Passed by the area and whaddayaknow....it exists!
Capacity is ~200 people which is a lot for a burger joint. Then I see the condiments bar and wow there's even an arcade! Bigger the better right?
After perusing the menu, I am glad to have read they have a Beyond Meat burger option! Although I do prefer the Impossible Burger, but I'll take what I can have! (Btw, Beyond Meat and Impossible Burger are both vegan patty options.) They even have a wheat bun option yasss getting them nutrients! My boyfriend got the Kobe burger.
We both didn't like the texture of the buns, wish it were brioche. If I were to return, I would definitely opt out of the bun and go for the lettuce wrap.
I overheard a worker ask where the Beyond Meat is stored which made me think that customers probably don't order it often. Well, when I ate the patty, it was a bit hard to chew. I've had Beyond Meat at Carl's Jr before and it was easy to chew, so idk what happened there. Nonetheless, there was A LOT of condiments sooo ya girl made do with the resources provided to her.
They have KIIIIMCHI! Yup, I'm good. Let's not forget the hot cheese.
Service was kind, a fellow was constantly cleaning the lobby. Greeted when walking in, good job team. Probably wouldn't return because of the price and quality unless I find my other gift cards.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Sep 28, 2019Updated review
Fuddruckers is one of those hamburger places where you build your own burger instead of getting - pre-configured menu items and you have no ideas of what you're getting or if your special request was taken on the menu when you go to other places that serve burgers.
I actually like this service model as some times I feel like having veggies and sometimes I dont. My husband also loves building his own burger as well but maybe I am a plain burger kind of guy?
There is no shortage of seating in here as the building is large and they have a video game area for entertainment.
Need a beer with lunch? They have different beers. I like the Red Frog IPA. Others available in a bottle.
Their lines can get long depending on the time of the day but they really clear their lines fast. And it's right across the street from the movie theater for easy eating when you're done with a movie.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Jason , thanks so much for the wonderful review. Glad you are making the most out of building your own burger. The best burgers are the way you like them. See you again soon. Team Fuddruckers
Jul 18, 2016Previous reviewBeer... Burgers, great conversation and a fun atmosphere when you want to sit and relax after a long day of shopping and just chit chat with your significant other while having a great lunch or dinner.... Everything is so delicious from the hand crafted beers to the flavor of the burgers. Much much better than any fast food place you order your burgers at. Plenty of TV's to watch your sports games on and even a mini arcade for the kids to play in.
The service model here is quite different than a traditional restaurant. You have to pay for order ahead of time and then it gets made. So the order service is like a fast food restaurant but the burger experience is that of a high quality fancy dine in facility.
Whatever you want on your burger.... That's up to you, but that's the reason I like it because sometimes I like my burger plain, with nothing on and other days I want lettuce and pickles. If you just want a salad, no problem you can have that and not a burger. Perfect for those who wish to stick to a traditional form of diet.... - Sep 7, 2018
So disappointed. I was hungry & my roommate offered to pick up burgers from Fuddruckers. I'd never been here before! So I wanted the mushroom swiss burger. He got the elk burger.
He comes out, takes everything out and says I have to build my own burger. They put the ingredients separate so it doesn't get soggy. So I open everything up and (in picture) is what I got with some lettuce and tomatoes. No caramelized onions or mushrooms in sight. My burger ended up being soooooo dry and well-done instead of moist and medium. I was starving, so I just ate it with some lettuce but it was definitely a huge let down.
My roomie got the elk burger that came with kimchi and pickles? He said it tasted like a regular burger with kimchi on it.
Onion rings were on point and hot and crunchy. Wedge fries were super dry and had to be heaped with ketchup to be edible.
Roommate said he was there today 9/7 right before a huge group of people. Not sure if that affected his order at all. :( Wanted to enjoy a nice juicy burger instead had nothing on it. Sniff :(Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 14, 2018
Shame on me for not visiting you more often, Fuddruckers!
My cousin came down for a visit from the Central Valley to the East Bay. There's a bountiful selection of places on where to eat a burger in Union City. Fuddruckers had always been in the back of my mind, but never forgotten. The decision was made and we were on our way to Fuddruckers!
Their menu consist variety of meats and poultry. They also have a veggie burger option, if you're looking for one. For my meal, I went with the rib eye sandwich topped with provolone cheese, cooked a medium-rare. I also got a side of wedge cut fries.
The buffet condiment bar includes the essentials for dressing your burger and hot dog as you please. Lettuce, tomatoes, relish, pickles, ketchup, mayo. And my favorite, hot cheese sauce! Who doesn't doesn't love cheese, except if you're lactose intolerant. They have a plain and jalapeno flavored cheese sauces.
The rib-eye sandwich came out and was cooked as expected, medium-rare and juicy! The provolone cheese infused with the rib-eye nicely. With my condiments of choice, lettuce, tomato, and onion made it a complete burger. The jalapeno cheese sauce paired excellent with the wedge cut fries!
Thank you, Fuddruckers for the tasty rib-eye sandwich and having hot cheese on tap!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0Business owner information

I hadn't been to Fuddruckers in quite some time, but enjoyed lunch here the other day. I like that they have options on the size of their burgers to choose from. You can order a 1/4 lb up to a 1 lb burger. They also offer other meat selections for you to choose, if you so desire.
Because of COVID-19, they don't have their salad bar open so you can dress your Burger the way you like. Instead they give you lettuce, onions, tomatoes and pickles with each burger. They do have bottles of ketchup, mayo, mustard, etc. for you to place into little containers for you to enjoy.
They serve thick wedge fries, but you also have the option to order skinny fries if you like. Feel free to order their crispy onion rings too.
Service is always quick and the staff are very friendly and helpful. They also have a lot of indoor seating and can accommodate large parties.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0Business owner information

Lon , thank you so much and glad you enjoyed your burger.
Jun 9, 2013Previous reviewHave been coming to Fuddruckers for a couple of years now. I like that they have a variety of menu options and not just burgers. You can get a variety of meat options, potato wedges, onion rings, etc. The part I like best is that you can order the size of your Classic Burger that you have an appetite for. You can order from 1/3 lb. up to a 1 lb. patty. Not to mention you can add all the condiments of your choosing which I really like. I'm not a big wedge fry person, but they are cooked pretty well. However, I prefer their onion rings, which are really good. If you want a good juicy burger, this is your place.
