Recently joined this gym a few weeks ago. I like this gym because it has a Women's Only Section, a daycare and classes. The women's room has a full set of treadmills, ellipticals and stair steppers as well as machines, free weights, medicine balls, etc.

The front desk staff was great and it is a very inviting environment. I have not had a chance to use the tanning beds (I don't know that I will, for that matter).

They are open 24 hours during the week and have limited hours on the weekends.

If you have considered joining a health club cost should not be an obstacle. Years ago, my first gym membership was hundreds of dollars and the second time I joined a gym the hidden fees were exorbitant. Yesterday I joined a gym for less than two grande fraps from Starbucks! A great workout for an unbeatable price! Is your health worth $8 and some change?

I am reviewing Alyssa's Zumba class - hands down THE BEST Zumba class in San Antonio. Not only do you get to shake your hips, but you get and AWESOME work out. I can feel my thighs and arms after just one class!! I love love love love LOVE her class. I almost didn't write because I don't want it to get full, lol, but she deserves her Yelp props ;)

Now, for only $20 a month, you really can't beat this gym!! One, it's CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN! Two, they have oodles of equipment!! With cable TV on each one. I highly doubt there is a time where you're waiting on a machine. I just joined and I haven't been during peak hours, but still, I can't imagine they'd be full. Three, fantastic hours!!! Basically 24 hrs for most days :) Four, unlimited classes at all times to include spin & Zumba!!! I'm in love :) Super happy I found this place! Five, women's only area for the ladies who feel more comfortable working out with sister friends. Six, their free weights and weight machines look pretty legit and complete.

Oh, they have a kids zone for folks with kiddos...San Antonio is a family town, so I'm sure this'll appeal to a lot of folks ;)

Walking into this place was a pleasant reminder of why I'm switching to a better gym. I usually go to the Thousand Oaks Freedom Fitness location and I've had no problems just wish there were more class variation. This morning I came in at 6am for a morning workout. At the Thousand Oaks location if no one is using the equipment in the "group workout room" I'm more than welcome to use it as long as I put it back. I always use the "rowing machine." So this morning my boyfriend and I walked into the room and asked the trainer that was in there if we could borrow it. (Keep in mind that the trainer and whoever he was training have been sitting on the floor talking for 10+minutes not using any of the equipment. Than once they were done the trainer was just sitting in the room on his phone.) The trainer was extremely rude and told us "no you can't use it(rower), it's the only one in the gym too."
Thanks... As if I didn't know that. No need for the rude smart a$$ remarks, a respectful "no I'm sorry" would have sufficed. I hate this gym and this location I can't wait til my contract ends in a couple months. I never leave bad reviews but my experience this morning with the staff was terrible and unacceptable.

Very impressed with this gym. Needed a gym close to home even though I have a membership at LA Fitness. After my first workout I was so pleased with the selection of equipment that I joined. Only thing they are lacking is plate loaded machines, however they have plenty of free weights as well as regular pin loaded macines , so no big deal. The free weight floor is bigger than plenty of gyms too. Not to mention my girl likes the girls only area! The price is great and hours are too.

This gym gets it. Low monthly price and has everything you need. Sadly I'm moving today and I just found out they are adding yoga as well!! I would recommend this FF all day.

Really enjoy this gym. The Manager Maribel and her staff are really kind/helpful. I love the Women's Only facility. Just wish they had a better variety of classes. I'm not into Zumba. Overall great price and clean gym.

Dirty. Equipment is always broken or scattered everywhere. Half the time the women's locker room is closed because there's a man inside working.

The place is alright. Only thing I didn't like was just in the one week I have been going to this location (was going to the Thousand Oaks location) they have been out of protein mix for a few days and another time out of cups to serve it in. Someone needs to keep better track of their smoothie supplies.

Been coming here for a few months now. Not crowded at all and staff are friendly. Only issue I have is the projector in the cycling area. It hasn't been working for about a month now and even though people have complained it seems that nothing has been done. There have also been days where the spray bottles used to wipe down equipment are empty. Why are they empty in the mornings? Equipment is in good condition and it's rare you see a sign that states equipment isn't working. Please fix the projector and I'll be happy.
