Francisco Tile

You can not do any better than Francisco tile. We chose an awkwardly-shaped hand made tile from Fireclay for our cooktop backsplash to be the centerpiece of our kitchen, and going in we knew that the tile installation would be a challenge, as the tile work would need to wrap around electrical outlets, cabinet underhang, and the wood panel for the vent hood attachment. Henry was a true craftsman and professional in measuring and cutting each piece to fit the space and maintain pattern across multiple interrupting elements. Take a look at my photos and notice the small pieces above and below the wood backing for the vent! The office manager Leslie was helpful and easy to work with, and all crew members were extremely knowledgeable, meticulous, friendly, efficient and easy to work with.

Similar to the other reviews, we had already had two crews try and fail to make any progress tiling our bathroom with handmade tiles. Once we fired the GC, we knew the tiling would be the biggest headache to get done. Fireclay (our tile maker) recommended Francisco Tile. I called and Jeff said a journeyman crew could be there the next day, but I delayed a few days to give our GC one final chance. I texted on a Sunday telling him we'd fired them, and his guys were there around 10:30 the next morning. The guys worked straight for 4 days and got it done. They were thorough, efficient, and overall so much easier to work with than most of the contractors in the Bay Area. They were also employees of the company, which we have found has better results than when you're working with subcontractors who hire subcontractors who hire subcontractors for small projects. We may have paid slightly more for the immediately available crew, but they completed the job in four days that other people had languished on for weeks. So pleased.

Prompt, responsive, and he gets the job done and basically exceeds expectations.
Jeff Francisco always does a great job, and the thing that we noticed is that he has a great eye for tile designs, patterns, and colors that enhance every room. With Leslie and Ben by his side, he is one of the best guys we ever had.
Jeff is a busy and a hard worker man. He keeps his appointments on time, and he was never late for any of our on-site visits. The entire team takes pride in their work and are extremely professional and meticulous.

Francisco Tile did a great job on our stairs, back splash and several bath rooms. We had an issue with our master bath. They found an mutually agreeable solution and are implementing it. Gotta appreciate people who stand behind their work.

Unfortunately, before I found Jeff Francisco and Francisco Tile, I had hired a different tile guy who completely screwed things up. The prior guys sealed my natural stone tile and didn't wipe off the excess sealant, and it cured on the tile surface and ruined $4,000 worth of tile. Jeff was recommended by a local tile shop and I asked him to come out to my house and take a look. When he visited, instead of simply offering to replace all the tile, a very expensive proposition, he instead recommended that we "re-hone" the tile which was considerably less expensive. He also needed to patch or replace about 15% of the tiles due to cracks caused by the other sub-contractors. Jeff's guys were always on time, friendly and did flawless work, perfect alignment of the tiles and professional finish. It was a pleasure to deal with him and his company and I'd happily work with him again. I wish I had hired him in the first place.
