No longer a steakhouse. This is a bar that has burgers nothing special. No steaks, prime rib anything like that.

Under new ownership. We visited last night and all went quite well. I had the sirloin and she had the shrimp. We both had the au gratin potatoes which are excellent, as were the dinner salad, soup and freshly baked bread! A gem in Glenrock and as good or better than you would find in Casper or elsewhere. Skip the drive, support local and enjoy the great food and drink!

Apologies in advance, there are no photos. I was hungry. My husband and I went exploring today and decided to stop by on our way back to Casper from Douglas. I am so glad we did. It most certainly did not disappoint.
Earlier in the day, there was a memorial service for a local community member. This place was hoppin! They seated us quickly, explained the crowd, and said it may take a few extra minutes because it so busy. The wait was truly minimal. I'd wait a lot longer for good food. Service was top notch!
The ambiance is that of a bar. Nothing spectacular in that sense, but a bit of small town community feel. I loved it!
We started with drink orders. I had a Blue Moon. The husband had a Bloody Mary. In his quest for Bloody Mary's in Wyoming, this will likely be the new go-to spot. Spicy, tomato, very good. We decided to get one burger and one steak and split so we could enjoy some of each. The house salad was typical fare but the crispy salted bacon that covered it sent this salad over the top. The New York steak was cooked perfectly and seasoned in such a way it did not need any augmentation with steak sauce. The mashed potatoes were smooth and a layer of peppered Country gravy on top. The first comment made was, "I wonder if they do biscuits and gravy for breakfast." (Rest assured, they do.) The burger was juicy and topped with jalapeños, bacon, and the bun lined with cream cheese. The bottom bun has a berry jam that complements the spicy jalapeños. Quite honestly, one of the best burgers I've had. French fries were thick cut and perfectly done. We topped off our meal with some peach cobbler and ice cream.
The community feel of this hidden gem was felt throughout the evening. A fantastic place that folks can go and gather, catch up with friends, and fellowship with meals and drinks. A slice of small town Americana at its finest. We will definitely be back. Totally worth the drive from Casper.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - K L.Douglas, WY017Nov 30, 2022
Excellent food and service! We frequent this restaurant often. Best chicken fried steak in the area and very reasonably priced!

We stayed in Casper but my husband found this steakhouse on the internet, about 30 miles away. So glad we went! Frank's butcher shop in Casper provides the beef and they own the ranch so it's farm to table! It's a very old steakhouse but under new management. Service was excellent, and our meal was quick and delicious! Not a fancy place but one you don't want to miss!

Under new ownership this month. We went just recently and we were very happy with our meal as well as the service! We had the special which was steak and shrimp or walleye. The Steaks were still the best just like always as well as the shrimp and walleye. Great cocktails and wine. The price for the meal was so reasonable for everything we got! We will be back and I highly encourage everyone to go if you want a great meal! Thanks for keeping this place such a great place to eat!

Average food. Average drinks. Average service. I have eaten here half a dozen times in 15 years. Its convenient to residents of a small town. If you like steak then I guess it's a decent place to go. I find the menu lacking. It's become a place to drink if you prefer a non smoking atmosphere.

Boy was I surprised by this place! Come inside and you'll find a nicely appointed little dining room, tables adorned with red table cloths and white cloth napkins. Service was as personable, friendly and efficient as it gets. Menu here is about beef. Steak, prime rib, burgers and more. We ordered the zucchini strips for an appetizer and my table scarfed them down. They were home made sliced round cooked fresh! I ordered the 10oz steak medium rare and it was cooked absolutely to perfection. Super tasty (I'm sure it was a local grass fed) so tasty, no sauces or spices needed. A little pricey probably compared to other local options when considering the steaks and prime rib; but I assure you it's well worth it.
