I just recently hosted a viewing and reception of the "Hollow" documentary in the U.S. Capitol, and I am so thankful that we were able to provide some of Forks of Cheat Winery's award-winning moonshine for the event. I couldn't get enough of the Apple Pie Moonshine and neither could any of the 250+ guests. Not only do they have incredibly tasty, quality products, but the staff at Forks of Cheat is very kind and accommodating. Thank you again for providing beverages for our event. -Joe Manchin

Stopped on a road trip back home. Lovely surrounding and great view. Wandered in and no one was there, walked around and someone came in. Tried some wine, and most were good. The interaction was just sterile. Usually you can have some interesting conversations when you visit small wineries, almost seemed like I was a nuisance.

Such a cute, cute place! The owner is very nice and suggested a lot of great wines based off mine and my mom's preferences. He was generous with the wine tastings and gave us wonderful recommendations. Their wines are really good and affordable and have a shipping and online ordering option as well. The ambiance is homey and so is the vibe of the actual place. Great views! Highly recommend.

The Van Buren and Peach wines are delicious! The apple pie moonshine and Grappa moonshine are absolutely epic! Eric was absolutely wonderful and welcoming. Definitely recommended and will be back again soon!

Went here to buy some wine, there were no other customers, start talking to the man about what I wanted, in the middle, the phone rang. He picked up the phone, no excuse me or anything. Waited about 10 minutes, he never acknowledged we were there again, the phone call didn't seem to important from what I could hear. No, can I call you back I have a customer, can you hold on a second, nothing. Ended up walking out and buying from a different winery

We arrived when they opened on a Monday afternoon. The staff was wearing masks due to the pandemic which was greatly appreciated. My husband and I sampled a few different wines before we decided on the redbud (semi-sweet). We enjoyed the wine on the outside deck.

Beautiful views and wine I don't think life can't get much better than the forks at sheet. My husband and I visited during a special event they had about two weeks ago a crab boil it was reasonably priced at $35 per person there was a live bluegrass band playing also.
The service was great and the views are what really sells this place. My husband and I decided to try the bad cat wine also known as Muscato with a hint of pink color it was really good I believe the bottle was a little less than $15 which is fair price for fresh wine.
I think in the future for a date night or maybe just a day trip going to check out this winery and see all that it has to offer it would be a really good idea for my husband and I as this event kind of kept us close on the patio and he really could explore the property except for the immediate area.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Liz G.Bridgeport, WV241Feb 4, 2022
My husband and I love to explore wineries and stopped at this gem on the way to a cabin for the weekend. They offer dry wines, sweet wines, cider, grappa, whiskey and moonshine. The staff was welcoming and I'll definitely go back. Definitely worth a stop if you're on route 68 near cheat lake. Cheers!

This place is a hidden gem in West Virginia! The staff is wonderful and very knowledgeable. They have so many different wines to chose from which is perfect for every wine lover. When you arrive, you walk inside, and are immediately blown away by all the different wines they sell. Not only do they sell wine, but they also sell moonshine.
You do the wine tasting inside which is nice because it allows you to really get a taste of their wine and atmosphere. After you taste their wine and figure out which one you like, you can buy a bottle and sit outside. The seating outside will take your breath away. The views are amazing and you feel like you are in a different place. Honestly the wine was amazing but the view is what sold it for me. If you are near the area, then you have to come and check this place out! This place offers the perfect paring wine and a beautiful view!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
