Wow, I became a fan of XXI due to this location!!!
Sorry that you are closing this store, but it feels like we have been very lucky on this shopping road trip. They had a 75% off sale and it looked like today was the first day. Their last day is on May 21st.
Quality/Quantity - My daughter is happy with their quality, as mentioned in my previous Forever 21 Sparks post, I was not a customer.
Today, we got 2 full bags of clothes!!
Atmosphere -Â Fully stocked, again it was probably the first day of the sale.
We came back on May 6th and they already sold 50% of their merchandise. Sorry, I should have gotten this Yelp review sooner.
Again, a small mens section, but that is okay because I am not a direct customer.
Service - 5 stars, some items did not ring up with the 75% off, but they corrected right away.
Price - 75% off, what more can I say. Their prices are already affordable, then take another 75%, WOW!! They did not raise their prices before this sale too! So extremely great deals.
Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1984 as Fashion 21.
2019 - Filed chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
2020 - New owners.

Worst service ever. The main girl working there thinks she's a Covid mask police. Nevertheless we were uncomfortable so we put our stuff back and walked out. Some people take their job so seriously that they chase away business. Next time I'll skip my latte and shop at H&M!

They have a few interesting designs, but their sizing is far off the mark -- I typically wear a M or L max, but their L tank fits me like a XS.
Most importantly, the have some of the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. It literally took me hours on the phone with them to address a few simple matters that should never have been issues to begin with -- after making an online order, a couple of T-shirts that were NOT supposed to be "distressed" (that is, purposefully with holes) arrived with holes punched into them . . . and, after being promised refunds by a few different agents, and never seeing anything come of those promises after two weeks, only after I yet AGAIN called and finally demanded to speak to a manager did I get any notifications of being issued credits (not REFUNDS but rather credits to their store).
This is not to mention the back-and-forth I was sent through between the Forever21 phone line and that of the bank they issue their Forever21 credit card through, Comenity Bank.
THEN, upon making a return of another separate item at the downtown Portland Forever21 shop, they refunded me for the wrong item from that same order . . . which of course was a cheaper item. Wow, rudest customer service ever !!!! My two daughters and I just finished up a very sad blazers basketball game at social club and decided we needed a bit of shopping to help us get over the loss so we decided to go into forever 21, when we could've picked any store in Pioneer Place! As we entered we already knew we had little time to make our selections before they were due to close, we had about 13 minutes, but my girls always know what they want we have shopped forever 21 a million times!
As soon as we enter the doors a young girl Who obviously works Therese greeted us at the door but by not saying hello or how are you but we close in 12 minutes... we all answered back saying okay thanks! We decided to get purses and jewelry and knew right away what we were going to get! Less than 30 seconds later another employee walked up to us and said we close in 10 minutes, which was u true it was 12 min! We said yes we know, and said thanks! Again! No joke less than 30 seconds later another employee walked up and said we close in 10 minutes! I was shocked and a little irritated at this point since not ONE employee said hello or how are u or can I help you!? I mean I get it closing time everybody wants to go home BUT we are still customers with money to spend before the closing time And deserve to be treated with respect and professionalism and get some help or at least ask if we needed anything! As we were grabbing the purses and jewelry, and heading to the check out counter, ANOTHER employee came up to us, we obviously had our items and were heading to counter when she said I really hope your wrapping things up we are closing! She was rude and very loud! And this time I said we know we've been told by three other employees in the last three minutes that you're closing! She then turned around looked at me and said good then you know time to leave! I couldn't believe my ears! I told my girls put all your stuff down let's go I'm not spending a penny in the store! As I walked out another young lady was at the doors waiting for us to leave and said thank you have a good day well that's little too late and I turned her and said who is the employee right there the older one she said oh that's Kelly I said can I get a manager's name she said well uh she is the manager!! Go figure! Management speaking to customers and teaching employees that 10 minutes before closing to get them out without buying anything ! The worst customer service I've ever received I will never be back and I will tell all my friends and family never to go to forever 21 again!! This particular store has a pretty decent plus-size selection and the associates are somewhat helpful (it depends on the time and day).
I usually find pretty nice things in my size without having to wrestle with other chicks (I'm looking at you Washington Square) and the checkout is fast.

I have mixed feeling about this place.
Forever 21 is great if you need last minute accessories or a random outfit for a road trip. Whenever I'm in town I have a habit of coming here to browse.
It shouldn't be a surprise the clothes are so poorly tailored and cheaply made...but the prices are so good!
I had a cardigan from Forever 21, within days (after the initial purchase) the entire sleeve came off. Ok, I know I get what I pay for, but am I asking too much that a cardigan lasts for at least one wash cycle?
Ah whatev, the prices are.so.good! I'll continue to shop here.
The employees working here seem so drained and I really don't blame them. I was in the fitting room and I overheard a forty year old woman ask the sales associate if the pleather pants she squeezed into looked good. My heart went out to the girl. I come here a lot but not usually for clothing. The clothing is usually way too ugly, cheap, and trashy. Well, I take that back, I do buy those little stretchy camisoles from time to time. They are only $2.50 and they are perfect for wearing underneath jackets and low cut tops. So ok, I have bought clothing.
I go here for accessories; Scarves, belts and necklaces mostly. The kind of trendy stuff that is in one season and out the next. Their stuff costs next to nothing.

Whenever I'm shopping at Forever 21, it's usually for something I want not need. A new dress, hat, pair of stockings or that glossy lip shine.

F*** this location! They recently closed the original 2-floor store and reopened as one floor. I found out that after the renovation, they completely removed the Forever 21 Plus section, so if you're over a size 12, you're probably screwed.
That also means that if you purchase any Plus size clothing online, they don't accept any online returns at this store since they don't carry it which makes ZERO sense. Aren't they just going to ship it back to some hub anyways? The store policy here is an absolutely joke. I had to go all the way to the Lloyd Center just to return a sweater. They have a very small plus size section, and didn't carry the sweater in question but still accepted the return - why doesn't the downtown one?!

Say you're a man, looking for a dress. You want something sexy, because you've been working hard on your figure. But you need it to cover all your bits and pieces, and because you'll probably only wear it once, you need it to be cheap. Where do you go? I went to Forever 21, and it worked out just fine!
They have a very wide size-range. I bought an XL, but tried on a number of 2X dresses that could have worked as well. There was quite a bit of variety, too. Some were more conservative, but most were pretty flashy. Girls just wanna have fun, amiright?
I was super impressed with the employees. Nobody batted an eye at me and my dude-bros trying on dresses, and they were even willing to help find additional sizes. I didn't know what to expect, but I did anticipate a little side-eye. We got none.
Finally, did you know they have men's clothes here? I didn't! They actually had a few shirts that I really liked, and I'll probably go back sometime and check them out.Helpful 11Thanks 0Love this 29Oh no 0
