Fontana Police Department

I was extremely skeptical in contacting Fontana Police department because of the yelp reviews.
I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with the dispatcher I spoke with she assured me that a officer would be getting g in touch with me. Officer Manning contacted me, she was polite... courteous... prompt and extremely helpful with the information and questions I had. Officer Manning's response was almost immediate. She treated me with respect and I feel confident that the matter I had contacted the Fontana Police department about will be handled in a professional... thorough way.
I am saddened to see all of the poor reviews and glad that I did not rely on the two stars they have, but was able to form my own opinion.
I would hope in the future that people take into consideration the tremendous stress... danger and mostly bad situations these officers must deal with on a daily basis.

Thank you for listening to my concerns Officer Manning and making me feel protected, served and appreciated.

One thing that still upsets me is 5 months ago at 21 years old I was ready to end it all intentions to jump off the bridge above the freeway and take my life, police were called obviously, at the time i was going through alot mentally and just tired with everything in my life. I will always always remember this comment this officer said he was white bald and in his elderly i wish i would've gotten his name and badge number but my mind was all over the place he told the other officer " this dumbass tried killing himself" very rude to tell someone who was literally on the verge of taking their live! Very unprofessional of this officer and same goes for this other officer who was a white female who drove me to the county hospital who was just on her phone the whole time flirting with her co worker talking about what they had for lunch... fucking kidding me.. very rude and unprofessional and very unhappy with that experience i had, at the time i just wanted someone to care not just that I WANTED HELP! And these officers didn't even comfort me i understand they are not professionals at that but calling me a "dumbass" .... Lost support of supporting any law enforcement. 0 stars if i could.

Called out to a collision motorcycle deputy Very rude officer started verbal altercation with minor when called for simple car accident report.

Great police officers and great place to know people in the department. I love my home city's police department and the community I live in Fontana

Fontana PD is very professional. Quick to respond and consistent in their service. Thank you for keeping Fontana safe.

Just to update Fontana PD's failure of Community Policing.

Your incompetence and failure of oversight on the continual failure for decades to protect Fontana communities from the porch and USPS mailbox pirates.

Fontana PD failures were exposed again yesterday in the Summit/Hunter Ridge Areas Commmunities. By USPS mailbox pirates. Their hotshot dispatcher after the notification of Federal mail crime, informed me, a patrol officer would stop by to obtain a report of the mailbox theft. in 3hrs or the next day.
also filed a report with USPS, who responded right away with a report and response to the Fontana Local Post office in this area. The investigation follows up this Monday area USPS investigator.
Fontana PD and Rancho PD did your job. caught the porch/mail pirates and are holding our area's mail for pick-up at their department.Fontana PD you should have the USPS investigator and Rancho PD, train your departments, on how to service your communities by policing.
Your department is an embarrassment to yourselves and the communities your not servicing.

Again Fontana police department has failed ....
They seem to take the Easy option I think they need good management at least the officers that are out patrolling the streets but I guess that's why they are just Fontana city police
