They were incredibly accommodating and welcoming when I came in from out of town. Great locker room and facilities. A little small and very unorganized in terms of weights being all over the place but I'll chalk that up to it being a gym and gym goers being awful lol. Awesome selection of equipment and attachments for cables that far exceed the typical 3 attachments you find. Absolutely would recommend. I dealt with Ursula and she was great with the tour and informing me what amenities were available!

This gym is horribly managed and maintained. The hot tub is routinely broken (despite the fact that they shut down the wet area for nearly 2 months for 'renovations'), one of the two elevators is routinely broken, the WiFi does not propagate through the locker room and wet area, the roof leaks, and management lacks detail orientation. If you want a place to decompress and melt off the stress of daily life, FFC Oak Park is NOT for you. It's a tragically obsolete and mismanaged facility. Go elsewhere -- especially at the price!

I cancelled my membership on May 20th and they still charged me for the month of June.
I was told that I didn't cancel in time. This makes no sense to me and I'm telling everyone I know not to go there.

W.O.R.S.T customer service and experience of any gym, EVER.

Great fitness facility with extremely professional staff. I work out solo and with a great personal trainer (Mario Dato) every week. The facility is well managed, clean and equipped with everything I need. Great place, you will not be disappointed.

It's not a surprise that this location has 3 stars.
I wanted to come back to FFC and was inquiring about reinstating my original membership However I Just got off the phone with the rudest sales rep (starts with a K I think) Who tells me she's been there for only 5 months and as far as she knows this is the way things are.
So that tells me I obviously need to speak to someone who can speak with clarity with less sass and not just a matter of factly.
She goes on to explain the cost of the gym to me (as if I didn't once go there) was higher due to cost of equipment maintenance & to keep the gym running.
It's odd to me really how blanketed and generic her explanation was.
Then when I asked to speak to someone else she tells me she'll make sure someone else contacts me so and I quote "they can tell you exactly everything i just told you!?"
That was completely uncalled for and just beyond rude! she finished with well I'm sorry this gym may not be for you then!
So much hostility because I was inquiring about my original membership cost!
She of course was able to see how much I originally paid and just kept talking over me the entire time saying the same line With no real answers. Just being insulting, dismissive and trying to make me feel bad about wanting clearer answers then threatening to ensure everyone speaks to me the way she did was truly crossing a line!
I'm completely outraged, I feel so disrespected and she clearly made points to make me feel humiliated and scared to call back...

I haven't been a member, this review is for my experiences touring the facility with my partner and what happened afterwards.
First, we never signed up for this gym because it's absolutely not worth it. It's small and can get easily crowded, the pool is tiny, and unless you're in and out in 2 hours (or close enough to walk) you'll have to pay for parking.
We might have considered it for the convenience except that they make it clear that they're out for every dime they can squeeze out of you. Any type of fee they can think of, they throw it on there. The "enrollment fee" alone is $250! The monthly rate starts at $105 a month, nearly double what similar clubs in the area run. (One option I did like was that you can get a permanent, personal locker - but this was another $80/mo!)
So for those reasons we didn't sign up.
After that? This club would NOT leave us alone. They have been harassing my partner to the point that he had to block their number. I guess they figured out he did that and now they're harassing me! It's been MONTHS AND MONTHS since we took that tour! Clearly we're not interested.

Have been a member for couple of years.
In that time, my membership costs increased by 20%, with no tangible benefits to me personally as I don't use the equipment that has been upgraded.
I do love the classes, the variety of elliptical and other machines, the quieter free weight area on mezzanine, and find the staff really friendly.
The locker room and bathrooms feel very clean.
I was contacted to complete a survey last year and gave the feedback that I would love to see more weekend group classes, as there are virtually No classes on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Management responded that this was something they were working to improve, but now 6 months later, nothing has changed.
So here is some feedback for management:
-Add more classes on weekend afternoons- for those of us who have Mon-Fri jobs, this is prime workout time
-Put some drinking water on all floors of the building for crying out loud. It is crazy to me that I can't find water to drink anywhere on 3rd floor where locker room and steam room are located!

We appreciate your candid feedback. Our team has taken all group fitness feedback into account, constantly analyzes attendance numbers to determine new class times and days. We will continue to monitor if adding classes on weekend afternoons is something we can do in the future.
There is a drinking fountain just a few feet from the steam room on the 3rd floor. Please feel free to ask a staff member who can point out where this is on your next visit.
FFC has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on safety and PPE equipment, and has faced price increases from almost all of our vendors and suppliers. Our membership and guest fee rates have risen to continue to keep pace with current costs and to assure our members and guests the level of service to which they have become accustomed.

Since I called 2 business days after the 15th of the month I am being charged for an additional month. I asked if the could accommodate my request to cancel and not be billed for another whole month, but they refused. I even emailed the General Manger to ask but he did not respond. Very disappointing to me, especially considering I maintained my membership throughout the pandemic, even when we couldn't go into the gym due to closure mandates. I would not recommend this gym. Very poor customer service.
