I came to Final Kick looking for a bike tire for a touring bike. They only have tires for racing bikes. The staff was helpful and friendly. They seem to only have racing bikes and they look very expensive.
I would think being near the beach they would carry tires for beach cruisers and touring bikes. This is a specialty store and not a regular bike parts place.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Katie B.Virginia Beach, VA422181Mar 30, 2010
This place is good for bike repairs, tri gear, and expensive running shoes. I like it b/c they have group runs and great staff...but I still think it's overpriced and kinda clickish.

The place to get your running gear in Virginia Beach. Final Kick has a great selection and their staff is very knowledgeable. It takes me forever to find a pair of shoes when I decide to change brands, but everyone there is more than willing to help you find the best shoe for you.

Great Service & they stand behind what they sell! I've been using final kick exclusively for years when it comes to purchasing running shoes, socks, and other accessories. They are a bit more expensive than buying them online but when it comes to service, you get what you pay for. (Note: They have a loyalty program where you get your 5th pair 1/2 price.) I recently returned a pair of shoes that I'd run in SEVERAL times; they just weren't right for me, but it took me a while to figure out that they weren't fitting as well as the previous shoes I'd purchased there. I returned them (used) - no questions asked! They put me in another pair of much more comfortable shoes. Can you get shoes cheaper elsewhere? Yes. Can you get service like they offer elsewhere? I don't think so. The owners and employees aren't just salespeople; they are runners & cyclists - they know what they're talking about and are great with advice. This store is a find!

Told me free maintenance for life. That didn't even last 8 months charged me $90 and didn't even fix what I brought it in for then also charged extra for something that they didn't do. I used to recommend to all my friends. Will deff turn people away from what they have become. Would rate 0 if I could

Final Kick is a Tri Shop with a bike shop attitude. If you go to the shop with the correct expectations you will be satisfied when you leave. This is a great local shop because they have a good selection of high end tri gear and really support the local tri community.
They carry Cervelo and Scott bikes predominately, which will fit very differently so it covers most body types. They primarily cater toward experienced triathletes and don't carry any low end bikes or entry level stuff.
The biggest benefit to the shop is the community Involvement! I highly recommend that you go for a weekend run or ride with them, or an open water swim. They regularly host training sessions, both coached and open, and consistently donate to the community hosting events to support Team in Training, Team Hoyt, and pretty much every other athletic charity around.
The staff is very experienced with all levels of racing, but can come off a little elitest. Prices are MSRP mostly and the stuff they sell is more top end, so the prices tend to be high, but you get what you pay for.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jen H.Virginia Beach, VA08Dec 3, 2011
There was not one single customer in the store when I walked it, so I got great service.Upon meeting the owner, Jim, I felt he seemed like a good guy. Tage, the sales associate was friendly. They only had 2 shoes in my size which was disappointing though she put a bigger size on me just to see. (as shoe sizes can vary.) After "testing" out a couple of shoe model, I wrote the information down and was honest with the owner that I was going to do some comparative shopping. That's when Jim got harsh and made a comment about supporting Pakistan, blah, blah, blah. I got kind of steamed and called him on his patronizing attitude. He did apologize, which I appreciated it, BUT it came a little too late. This was my very FIRST glimpse of this store/company and my choices should not be questioned. I have a choice to compare prices, I have a choice to be honest with him, and I have a choice to where to shop and I will not be shopping there again anytime soon. :-/
