Lizzy's Ice Cream & Sandwich Shop

found this place while traveling (I got lost again) and decided to stop in for a quick bite.

tiny hole in the wall place, but everyone there could not have been nicer.
the food was great, and the ice-cream was even better and I would highly recommend this place to everyone.

The service was great. The food was great. Everything about this restaurant is great.

Absolutely disgusting. I just visited and got a medium soft serve dish of ice cream and waffle fries with a side of cheese. The mix they use in the ice cream has to be poor quality because the ice cream tasted so bad I couldn't finish it. I took one bite of the waffle fry and nearly hurt my tooth because it was so hard. I walked inside and threw it all away and didn't even finish it. WASTE OF $10! I will not be returning. I miss the previous owners. Absolute trash, don't recommend this place anymore. The only positive is the curbside service and even that's iffy.

My friends and I received strange looks and treatment from the workers and I have a feeling it's due to us being POC as the town is primarily white.

Food: Affordable and burgers are pretty good, however it was a little over seasoned at times such as too much old bay on the fries.

The service was quick, wait staff very polite and efficient, the food was terrific! Cheese steaks and hand cut fries were delicious but I took it easy because I needed room for dessert! The Pumpkin Delight should be illegal - scrumptious - bits of pumpkin pie, crushed ginger snaps, vanilla soft ice cream drizzled with caramel and topped with pumpkin whipped cream!!! Let me tell you Lizzy's offers a creative palate you wouldn't necessarily expect from a smaller restaurant in a rural setting. Talking to the owner (being a foodie myself) you can tell he knows flavoring. Bravo!

This was a first and last visit. The food was okay, nothing to brag about. Burgers, wraps, fries, ice cream. There was 3 of us- 2 adults and a toddler. We got simple food items (burger,wrap, grilled cheese, French fries), an ice cream sundae, 1 scoop, and a 3 scoop ice cream. The bill was about $80.00. That's simply WAYYY overpriced and the ice cream sundae was small. Honestly, there's better food/ice cream options nearby that are far more reasonable. On a positive note, the service was excellent!

Absolutely delicious food! Definitely recommend the French Fries FOR SURE!! DON'T FORGET YOUR DESSERT!! You can't go wrong with Lizzy's Ice Cream!

Typical greasy spoon dinner with a good variety of sandwiches and burgers. We love the curbside service.

Ok, so normally Lizzy's is a place that we would just drive by. It's a small older looking restaurant, a little bit outside of the main area of Greencastle. After a recommendation from a friend, we decided to give it a try. At 1pm on a Saturday, we were pleasantly surprised to see that the parking lot was packed. And the food is GREAT!!!

Inside you'll find a quaint ice cream shop & restaurant with counter service. Their menu consists of sub, sandwiches, wraps and specialty burgers on brioche buns. My daughter and I had the Bacon Ranch Cheeseburger with fresh cut shoestring fries and my husband had a chef salad and the Pittsburgh Burger with fries, slaw and bbq on it. Really dang delicious!!! We got ice cream too... my husband got a Reese's pieces blended ice cream, my daughter got the Reese's pieces sundae and I got the caramel apple sundae that had 2 little apple pie fried wontons on it!! So good!!

Service was good and the burger was even better, the vibe was good. The lemon raspberry freeze is the best drink there. I also highly suggest the Superman flavor ice cream
