299177Apr 17, 2023Well, this little place was a nice surprise. Walked in, seated immediately & greeted by Sam. She was attentive and helpful with the menu. Drinks came quick then followed quickly with the Fat Daddy's Sampler for him & Smokehouse Hash & eggs for myself. Everything was really good, great flavors and seasoned well. Inside is super cute and cozy. Worth the stop for sure if your passing.

Found Fat Daddy's on Yelp and was pretty impressed with the food and space. We did a carry out.
The ribeye was prepared medium and pretty tender. While not on the thick side it was pretty good. If you want a ribeye, I recommend asking for a "well seasoned ribeye" to enhance the meat. The burnt end sandwich was tender and thick chunks on Texas toast. Excellent sides of mushrooms, baked beans, and outstanding fried corn (recommended). Great place but no bar to wait for your carry out meal. Nice and friendly staff too .

Still a great place to go! Breakfast never disappoints. We pretty much always sit on the outdoor patio and service is never lacking.

-Believe me, you won't be disappointed about coming here
-Chicken fried steak, pork loin sammich, bbq, burgers, and on and on
-Dogs are welcome as well! Well, out on the deck
-Every time we go we're always happy with our experience
-Fried pickles, shoestring fried onions, awesome fries
-Good food is aplenty!
-How do you pick just one thing, is the problem
-I can't recommend this place enough - it's the best restaurant in Forsyth
-Just think, you could be gnawing on a rib bone right now
-Kind of like a restaurant/meeting spot
-Let it not go unknown that they have a killer breakfast as well
-My favorite is the smoked breakfast platter - always the go to
-Nice decor, friendly staff, inviting environment
-Oh ya! And they have a dedicated room for big groups!
-Plus they cater! Small event, big event, they can handle it all
-Quit putting up with mediocre food and go somewhere that cares about their food and customers
-Really chill atmosphere, good place to relax
-See what I'm doing here..?
-Take your time to look over the menu, it's hard to choose just one thing
-Unless you're vegetarian then I'd strongly suggest the burnt ends
-Very, very good
-Whole hams, whole turkeys, I forgot to mention that
-Xylophone. HAhahahaha...get it??
-Yes folks, I'm recommending FD's with two thumbs up
-Zillionaires need not apply, FD's is great on prices too!

Michael S.Howell, MI485Oct 29, 2020Amazing BBQ, Burnt ends and Brisket are worth the trip, the ribs, sausage and Ham were good as well. Sides wise, the BBQ beans were the star, the fried corn was outstanding, slaw was good, fries (my girlfriend and I had fries, she the curly, while I had the fresh cut) were great and she had the fried okra which she loved (I have celiac so no breading for me).
Overall a diamond in the rough, rivaling KC and STL BBQ hotspots on some items and head and shoulders above the average on everything else... hoping to see Diners Drive-ins and Dives feature this place!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0

Try the shoestring onion rings or fried pickles as starters. The other favorite is the wings: smoked, then fried crispy. To die for! If BBQ isn't your thing, the catfish, fried chicken, and burgers are great too. I hear desserts are good, but I never have room! Oh, and breakfast is awesome, too! Best biscuits and gravy around!
