This was our first koa experience and boy it did not disappoint. From the friendly staff to the pristine clean facilities, this place has it all! When we checked in, the camp host escorted us to our spot and helped my husband back in (thank you!!). The site had full hook ups, a fire pit, and a picnic table. No shortage of things to do here. Fishing, ping pong, swimming (in season), gem mining, dog park, badminton, tether ball, and a playground. They decorate the entire property for fall. It was beautiful! The restrooms and showers were spotless.
Do yourself a favor and go to this KOA. We will be back!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jul 20, 2021
Sarcasm-free, this is a charming spot. Maybe my favorite KoA.
The mature tree cover is over most if not all sites, and despite the hills and area elevation, our site was perfectly level, and Mike helped us park in one try. The price for full hookups here wasn't much more that we've paid in state park campgrounds. It was a shame we couldn't stay longer.
If you're passing through, the laundry and bathhouse are updated and clean, and the pool and gem sluice made it family-friendly. At the end of the day, we enjoyed quiet spots on the swing and dock by the fishing pond. The sunset, the smell of the hayfields across the park, and fish bobbing around the pond made this a perfect spot. If you're thru-hiking this would be a good clean up and recharge spot. If you're exploring Blue Ridge and Shenandoah, the is a great pit stop--and Blue Ridge is just a hop, skip, and a jump down the road.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Peggy W.Stanley, VA76Jun 10, 2023
We haven't actually stayed here yet but we had reservations for a week long stay and due to a family emergency had to cancel. They were so kind and understanding. We look forward to staying there in the future.

We recently purchased a new RV and stayed at this KOA while driving from Florida to our home in Michigan. Never stayed here before and was so pleased we did. Situated at the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway, the setting was nicely wooded and hilly. Campsites were spacious and many had trees that offered some privacy from others.
We had a pull through, full hookup, on a level gravel pad. Enjoyed our first campfire of the season, complete with s'mores which we purchased ingredients from the cute camp store.
Owners were Covid responsive posting signs and requesting masks in store and common areas. Very clean everywhere and super friendly and accommodating. Looking forward to returning with our motorcycles next time to enjoy the Ridgeway.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Rhiannon T.Tallahassee, FL6125270Oct 4, 2019
This was one of my most favourite KOAs ever!
It is situated right off of the Blueridge parkway and very near the interstate- the location is very convenient!
The KOA is clean and very well-kept!
The tent sites were large and grassy (which is SO much better than sleeping on gravel tent sites).
The owners were extremely kind and talkative!
I have nothing bad to say! It was one of the most relaxing night's I had had in a while!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Michelle N.Sanford, NC0127Nov 8, 2021

Great experience from the moment we towed in. Everyone was super helpful and friendly. They escorted us and helped us back in to our site. We had site #61. Full hook ups/ back in with a fire pit and a picnic table. Campsite was full the whole weekend.
Campground was clean and lots to do. Very dog friendly as there were lots of pups. They have a pond that you can fish, pool (when in season), a arcade/club house, and corn horn. Friday night they were making pulled pork Sandwiches and delivering them to your site. Every night they make pizza and deliver also to your site.
Lots to do nearby and at the front desk they have a list of activities. We enjoyed the winery with an October festival going on. Also stopped and saw the gorgeous Maybry mill. Or if your looking to relax this campground is perfect. Signal was fine for our phones but they do have WiFi if ya need it.
This is one of our favorite KOA's to date. Next time we will get one of the 3 premium site with a fenced in dog yard for the pups or a site.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - John T.Streetsboro, OH613112Jul 16, 2021
This place is better than expected. Nice layout, spaces are big and easy to maneuver through the park. Everything is so clean and everyone is friendly. Wish we had more than one night here. Maybe on the way back.

We enjoyed our 2 nights at this great campground! It's clean, well kept, and has great extras such as campsite delivery from its own kitchens. Staff is extremely friendly. The store is a great place to shop for souvenirs and some necessities.
