Catered event for over 100 persons and totally good from start to finish. Tastes as good as individual dinners, great spices on the chicken, rice was fresh, salad perfect and falafel was tasty. How do they do it.

So glad that I found this restaurant with wonderful food close to work.

      A hundred stars!!

I had dinner at Falafill last week, and I do not plan to ever return. Our initial impression was that the woman helping us was very unpleasant. She was not helpful or friendly. Then, we received our food, which was a very large amount of food for the price. The food was pretty tasty, too. However, when I got to the bottom of my bowl, there was a large (1" inch) screw in my Armenian salad.

We told the woman at the counter, and, instead of quickly apologizing, she started down the road of denying. But, before she could continue, we cut her off explaining that we were not there to look for compensation, but to merely inform. She was then forced to apologize and, she claimed she would discard the rest of the Armenian salad. We will not be returning for fear of incurring hundreds of dollars of dental work.

Pretty good! I've ordered from here a few times for lunch and it's (so far) dependable, filling food. I like their mezzes.

The lentil soup isn't like what I grew up with, but pretty tasty anyway.

I have gone in several times now to Falafill and believe this place to be excellent. Let me explain why this is the case:

      1) High quality foods and ingredients: In terms of food choices, there is something for everyone. This is a true paradise for people who are vegetarian and vegan as there are at least 10+ options. Let me repeat that. If you are vegan there are 10+ different things you can eat there. Most vegan only restaurants do not have that many. In addition to falafel (classic and curry), they have things like quiona tabouli, Armenian salad, fried cauliflower, peppers, lentil soup, hummus, baba ganoush, mint salad, vegetables, an assortment of sauces, etc.. The place also has chicken and steak too and all meat is halal. Menu is easy to understand.

Portion sizes are very generous and you actually get full when you leave. In fact, I am still full and I ate almost 7 hours ago.

      2) Affordable: The prices are very reasonable for lunch and/or dinner. To be completely honest, the prices are probably below true market value for the quality of the food that is offered. Consider that a fast food combo meal (which is unhealthy and disgusting) probably costs more. Not just that, the restaurant offers a 10% discount to people who live, work, or study in Detroit, offers daily specials throughout the week, and a rewards program where you buy 8 meals you get one free. This is extremely generous as most restaurants do not offer such things.

      3) Excellent service: Every time I have gone everyone has been polite. The owner is on a first name basis with many of the customers and is always willing to make sure the customers get whatever s/he wants. Service is also very quick. They also deliver.

      4) Clean: The entire place is well kept up including the rest room. I have never seen food on the floor or dirty trays on the table. It has always been clean every time I go in.

      5) Support local businesses: Detroit is unique because of the many cool businesses that make up the city. This is one of them. You can go to Subway, Chipotle, or Panera any time in just about any big (or small) city. But there are not too many places that serve curry falafel with a side of quinoa tabouli. This is one of those restaurants that truly reflects the diversity of the city and its people.

Overall, I highly recommend this place. Worth checking out.

I LOVE this place. It's such a great, refreshing, healthy lunch spot in Midtown Detroit! The concept is great...and the options on the Mezza bar are always fresh. It actually forces you to try things you may not otherwise try. For example, I'm not a cabbage person, but it looks so great on the bar, that I tried it...and it was amazing! Also, this place has the best lentil soup...hands down. I love that it comes with a little bag of pita chips that are amazing.

Don't let that pesky construction on Woodward deter you from this gem of a place!

Loved this place. As my friend described it, it's the Chipotle of Middle Eastern cuisine.

Went there on a Saturday late afternoon and it was dead inside. The workers said Saturday's are slow but weekdays are very busy. (Side note they are closed on Sunday). It is small inside so on busy days you may just need to take it to go.

The menu is pretty simple, you can choose from one of their signature wraps or do a BYO platter or wrap, which is what I would suggest. The platter, which is what I went with, allows you to order one "protien" and five "mezzas". When you look on the "food bar" (set-up like a Chipotle or Subway) The mezzas and proteins are color coded.

I had the chicken for my protein and it was tender, juicy and flavorful. Not one fatty, chewy piece. For my sides or as they call them mezzas I ordered: Minted cabbage, roasted cauliflower(so good), hummus, Quinoa tabbouleh(a must get) and the Armenian salad(a must if you like spicy things). Everything I had I strongly recommend. Some other options include rice, roasted veggies and Baba Ghanough.

You then select your sauce, which can be placed on the side and have the option to top your platter with pickles or pickled turnips.

Great place, friendly staff, clean inside and everyting tasted fresh!

**They also give discounts to Wayne State Students and employees of some of the local hospitals. Make sure to ask when paying

Found this little gem on the hot and new list on yelp. Really glad I did too. The food was exceptional, and knowing it was our first time and that we found it on yelp, the service went beyond what you'd expect at a fast casual joint.

We were in town for Movement and looking to try something outside our normal sphere. Falafill fit the bill. I thought with a name like Falafill they might have a large variety of falafel options, but there were only two: traditional and curry. They were both delicious. They let me sample the curry since I ordered traditional.

Hearing that we were from out of town and found them on Yelp, they really gave us a great experience. They let us sample several things, gave us a side of a chickpea salad for free, and were very attentive. Our group ordered several different options off the menu, even trying a platter, pita and wrap between us.

Of particular note were the delicious teas they had. A rose and a mint of some sort. I could be confusing the styles, as its been a month, but these were really fantastic and refills are free for them. If I lived in Detroit, I'd be hitting this place up all the time.

edit: it might be interesting to note that there were only 11 reviews when I started my draft, and now that I've posted it, there are 37! This place is taking off, and it's no fluke!

Me and two of my co-workers went to Falafill for lunch one day and loved it. Everything from the food to the service was impeccable. I had the protein with five servings from the mezza bar - and I got the chicken, roasted vegetables, roasted jalapenos, cucumber salad, baba ghanoush and cabbage. It was all delicious. I should have gotten extra chicken though because I'm a big eater and with all the lack of starch (because I eat way too light sometimes) I was still a little bit hungry. But they are huge portions of all servings. Everyone working was extremely friendly and there was plenty of room to sit inside.

I'd love to go back and eat all the good stuff :)
OH - and it's extremely reasonably priced just FYI.

      Updated review

Update.....ok I had changed my review because the owner had called me and asked me to take the review down and offered me free food. But as I sit here and think about it, I don't want to be compensated more nasty food. The review was about my initial experience. I deleted it the first time but now since I feel like the owner won't leave me alone about deleting the review I had already deleted I'll review again from my initial experience. I'm not gonna lie because he offered me nasty food .

(This was my initial review) I wish I could give this place NO STARS. The manager that I talked to 10 minutes ago was so fucking rude and she was not accommodating at all. So I read the reviews and I was excited to try this place. I didn't feel up for the drive due to my illness so I ordered through FLASH DELIVERY. Ok cool. I've used them before. I get my food and I'm blown away by how SMALL of a portion of chicken they gave me. Ok whatever. Idk what this white stuff is in my platter (maybe hummus) but it's disgusting. I paid extra for a certain rice . ( I DIDNT GET IT NOR DID I GET MY ROASTED VEGETABLES). I called back and the MANAGER acted as if she couldn't help at all. She's like "well that's not the order I received so u need to call Flash." I'm literally looking at the order I put through Flash so how is that YOU received a different order. She didn't want to Help at all. So I hung up and called Flash. The people at Flashed helped . I heard the woman tell the lady that my order was indeed was what put through and she just didn't put it down correctly. The lady that worked at Fallafil still acted as if she didn't want to correct my issue. What kind of business is that? If you don't want to help your paying customers then wtf. I wasn't even rude to the lady. I'm irritated. I could've went to Sheebas. This food is so MEDIOCRE and no I still don't have my damn rice or my vegetables. And if I asked for Pita Bread and it didn't come with me why not TELL ME. Wtf !!!! Oh and this Falafel is disgusting. Probably because they're burnt ! I tried all of my food and everything was gross except for the Armenian Salad. The chicken was charred and taste nothing like Mediterranean spices at all. Never going back.
