I usually love staying at Fairfield Inn and Suites when I travel, but this one is a little rough. The front door is stuck and won't open all the way, unless you open it by hand, the pool is broken. They didn't have detergent to do laundry, and their washers are broken, so they have to take their linens to another hotel to wash. It is a little rough, but the staff is nice enough. There are other Marriott Hotels I. The neighborhood, so I suggest looking around first.

My stay at the Fairfield in in Billings was disappointing. I stay at a lot of Marriott properties for both wok and pleasure and I will not be staying at this particular location again. I will say the people there were great but the general maintenance and amenities were lacking. Our room smelled of smoke, the pool was out of service (which would have been nice to know before booking), our tv did not work (and there was no maintenance person to fix it), etc.

Property is NOT at the level of other Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott. Hallways and stairs were worn and musty. Room was refurbished, but didn't appear new. AC unit was old noisy wall window unit. Bathroom was dirty & broken items. Pool was under long term renovation. Staff was overworked and unfriendly. Staff said that they recently became a Field Marriott hotel, about last Nov 2022. We just completed 7 nights at 4 different Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott and the other 3 were top quality for this chain, Marriott group, and price point. In previous years we stayed at 2 of the Field Marriott hotels and their quality was good.
This one was a huge disappointment. Definitely we now do not trust Marriott and the Fairfield chain of hotels. A written apology, relabeling of this hotel and a refund are in order.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jeff V.Windsor, CA041Jun 7, 2023
Linens were soiled with blood stains. Front desk answered and hung up twice. After going to the desk and being handed new linens, I found the bath towels soiled. I gave up. Their pool has also been down since "2018" and is still advertised on their website. Kids were bummed.

Staff checking in was friendly, check-in was quick and easy, took like 3 minutes. The place it bit dated, could use some upgrades, including the TV, the restroom, etc. I guess you get what you pay for lol... it was the cheapest Marriott hotel in town.
Next time I'm in town, would probably go with different Marriott location. The place was nice, since it's right around the corner form Costco and major food joints as well as easy entry/exit to the highway.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - P R.Rochester, NY123May 9, 2023
We always stay at a Marriott and was so disappointed in this Fairfield. The entire facility is run down, in need of being painted, all furniture is outdated. A year ago Marriott decided to go with pricing based on demand. This outdated and very depressing and rather disgusting room cost us $180.00 for the night. This was the most expensive room we stayed in for our entire two weeks of travel. Marriott needs to visit this facility to see exactly what is going on. I understand that this is a franchise and it needs to be further looked in to. It is not fair that you're asking people to pay this price for such a lower end facility. Please Marriott management - please look into this further. Something needs to be done!!

If you want to stay at a Marriott in Billings, you have exactly four options. I stayed at two different Marriotts in Billings and this was not my favorite.
Finding your way here is a bit tricky. Once you turn off the main road, take your very immediate first left. You won't even think it's a road and that you are going to another hotel, but I promise you will find the Fairfield Inn in back of Denny's and a small local inn.
The staff here is super nice and very helpful. They seem to do almost everything at the hotel.
This hotel is dated, and the elevator seems ancient. My room was ok, but needed upgrades. This isn't a hotel for travelers, there are limited outlets and it doesn't have a great setup to work from home/hotel.
I loved that you could adjust the room temp down to 60! That rarely happens and it made me so happy and comfortable.
My room happened to be next to the linen room, so all morning long I heard some sort of creaking. The sound must have happened as the staff opened/closed something. Please buy a can of WD-40 and fix this! I don't want to be woken up at 7 am on vacation.
They do offer "breakfast," but it's Jimmy Dean microwaveable sandwiches, some fruit, cereal and bagels. Having stayed at a similar hotel a month prior where I had the ability to order a fresh breakfast, this was a bit of a let down.
If you book through the app, it will say they have a pool. Well, they do have a pool, but it's drained and under maintenance.
There is free parking here, but large RVs can take up 3 - 4 spaces, making it a little tight.
Don't stay here without a car. Nothing (but Denny's) and a chain restaurant across the street is walkable. Also, downtown Billings (with all of the restaurants) is about a 10 minute drive, so plan accordingly.
For what I got, the price of this hotel was expensive, despite it being the "cheapest" Marriott in Billings.Helpful 9Thanks 0Love this 7Oh no 0 - Otakufox M.San Francisco, CA02Jul 30, 2023
As someone who actually worked here, my best suggestion is DO NOT STAY AT A MARRIOTT. The so called "clean linens and towels" are taken care of in a room that is very outdated and after a shift I would have to go straight home and shower because I smelled like mold and mildew. The breakfast is not fresh as they claim...it comes in bags. The "scrambled eggs" that you see are bagged eggs that get microwaved and scrunched to look scrambled. When we didn't have a breakfast lady, as the night audit I would have to set up the breakfast, there was a list of what to put out, but now how to set it up, even with the machinery required to set it up! Never had any training on how to set up the breakfast either, so I was basically left out to dry. The computer system used to check in guests is legitimately from the 90s. The manager, Asad Khan, was even debating about not hiring me because I have a leg condition and couldn't walk too much...that is until I was given so many tasks that I just had to push myself which resulted in my leg getting worse to the point of going into the hospital. The employees are all told " If you need anything, call me"-Asad Khan...I had a possible identity and credit card theft during my audit, and tried calling him 5 times without answer...I was even attacked by TWO homeless guys, and tried calling for help or at least safety, being that I am an injured woman who is a bit on the smaller side....no answer. Most to all of the girls who work there are confronted by Asad, being told "you should wear makeup, it will make you look prettier". The cleaning staff has quite literally never been up to par, and is known to leave their snack trash in rooms. When the staff says "maintenance", they are referring to Asad because there is no maintenance on staff at any time of day, so any requests you have are just going to be ignored or pushed off till even months after you put in the request. To be a better host, during my shift I would wipe down the counters, tables, desks, etc. In the lobby, and I would have to use 2-3 rags because that's just not something that gets done, and was just something I felt needed done. Almost every coworker I had was thinking of leaving or had already put in their notices, and almost all of them had said "the second you get the chance, get out of here, run as fast as you can, and never look back". Anywhere the wallpaper was peeling, was just absolutely covered in black mold. Asad even had other employees and nyself running between here and Springhill doing errands because he is just a poor manager. I was attacked by two homeless guys here, one was sleeping under the stairs and scratched me! The laundry room was ok-ish...if you don't count the loose tile flooring, black mold everywhere, and the fact that all of the electrical stuff is directly behind the dryers, which were always spraying dryer lint all over the electrical stuff and causing a fire hazard. All gueats are required to sign a paper saying they know the hotel is smoke free and pet free, but behind the desk there was a half smoked cigarette under the desk! So all in all, NEVER STAY AT A MARRIOTT!!!!!!!!!!!

I did not stay in this hotel - however, I had a reservation at the hotel across the parking lot and could not stay there due to unsatisfactory rooms and hostile management. When I walked into Fairfield, they did not have any rooms available but their front desk staff called several hotels in the area to help me find an available room within my budget. They went above and beyond to help someone who wasn't even paying to stay there! I was so touched by their generosity with their time. If I ever find myself in Billings again, I'd definitely book a room in this hotel!

This is a very old motel with no upgrades. Bathroom is very old, hallways reek of air freshener and the rooms are worn and patched. It's not what you would expect from a Marriott Fairfield. It superficially clean but don't look in the corners. The only saving grace is that the staff is so friendly and welcoming!
