Look just do a simple brake system flush and bleed to make sure bike stops with both the hand and foot brake. One hour service, no stars, no bullshit.
If you find "hot spots on the rotors" AFTER you disassemble the bike NOT BEFORE, then you have extra work to do and bill for. You never touched the bike and could not have known what the actual problem was. So I tried to help you out with as much info as possible beforehand and got screwed with the upsell instead of getting the simple work accomplished.
If you acclaim how good you are at service, then do not f me over, a new customer, who needs your shop to do the basic work.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

We were tasked to try and diagnose a brake issue after they had brake pads replaced by another shop (also left them a 1 star review) on how the rear brake would not stop the bike and wanted the brake adjusted. In our detailed email conversation before the bike being dropped off I explained that there is no adjustment in hydraulic brake systems minus lever position and replacing brake pads alone usually does not require any adjustment of the pedal position, but would try and look into what the problem may be. When we were able to start looking over the bike the rear brake did have pressure but on test ride the brake did not work as well as it should. We did notice that the had hot spots and grooved (did take pictures because we felt this review may happen) and suggested a new rotor, or to try and hone the current rotor as motorcycle rotors cannot be turned. We were immediately told that we did not know what we were talking about and that he just wanted the brakes bled, or just pick the bike up as is. We decided not to bleed brakes as we felt this would not have fixed the issue and after charging them to perform work that may not repair the issue, been in even worse situation than this is currently.
Aug 25, 2023Previous reviewAsked for brake system flush and refill service and told to drop it on Wednesday. "That works for me that way I can start on it Thursday morning." I did but all I got done on Thursday were excuses. Then at 6:30 PM the story about how it is going to need rotor turned or replaced, the previous shop used non-OEM parts, and the bike is now almost ten years old. Was told the flush and replace brake fluid would done on a Thursday for $160.00 Guess I should have asked which Thursday.
Stop trying to upsell and just do the work the customer requested.
Said no thanks and picked the bike up untouched. Good potential client who walked. - Jesse C.Arlington, VA10205Mar 24, 2023
These guys have been my shop of choice over the years. They once brought a KTM Duke 2 back to life for me! Much respect.

This place is far into the shopping area, I had a little trouble navigating which area to go into but there are small signs to point the way once you see the bikes at the end you know youre in the right spot!
I was a bit intimidated to walk in as I dont look like a stereotypical motorcyclist but the gentlemen was super friendly and fast with helping me. I brought in a broken clutch lever that I didnt have the right tools to fix it myself. He was super quick to fix it for me and didnt even charge me for the quick fix! Would def come back if I need anything to fix for my bike!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sean K.Fairfax, VA020Nov 1, 2022
First, this place is really hidden. Keep going out where you think "it isn't past here". Glad I went here! Great service!

These guys are AMAZING. I caught a flat tire the day before a Memorial Day ride out to the Shenandoah Mountains. I was super disappointed because I thought i wouldn't be able to get on the road on Monday.
I stopped by Fairfax Cycle on Sunday evening and the guys said that if i dropped off my bike they would take care of me Monday morning. Sure enough at 9:45 right after they opened my bike was ready for the road! These guys saved the day! Extremely courteous and professional, and they didn't even break the bank.
They have earned a life long customer. Highly recommend !Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Uli K.San Diego, CA664613Mar 8, 2022Updated review
Crashed my bike down in Tennessee this past October. Nearly $10K in damage. Kevin and Terry put my baby back together and she is better than new. They have a can do attitude, extremely high level of expertise, and insane level of attention to deal. I am very fortunate to have found Fairfax Cycles!!!

I was having trouble finding a shop to work on my KTM, so I was thrilled to find Fairfax Cycles. They had bikes lined up outside of their shop and admitted that they were pretty slammed with riding season getting underway. I received a call a couple of days after I dropped my bike off to let me know they had completed the service I wanted, and to let me know that I needed new tires. Having never bought tires before, Terry gave me a little tutorial on what I should be looking for and some options at various price points. I then went online and found some on Revzilla that happened to be on a promotion. They happily matched the deal and ordered the same ones through their distributer and installed them. Terry is a knowlagable and cool guy, and I found the prices at Crossroads to be reasonable. Returning for me is a no brainer next time I need something.

Taken my bike there a few times and they have fixed the issues as expected. However, the customer service could be better. MUCH BETTER.

What a very unprofessional place! I brought my motorcycle in to have the carburetor and clutch adjusted, and the neonazi-looking receptionist came out, looked over my motorcycle and told me that it wasn't worth his trouble or time to work on my bike because he had too many other bikes to work on. So, he told me he wasn't going to do anything for me.
