This is my review for the Easter brunch buffet in 2022. I have no idea how this place operates outside of Easter weekend, if at all. At the time I am writing this, Yelp says this business has permanently closed. However, They were definitely open on Easter sunday and delivery drivers were still sending pizzas out on the day I was there.
The buffet cost $37.99 and included drinks. I had a shirley temple but most other tables opted for free-flowing mimosas. The buffet offered the usual breakfast foods like scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, french toast. A small salad bar offered shredded lettuce and your choice of deli meats, dressings and salad toppings. For dessert, they had tiramisu, carrot cakes and cannoli. Cannoli was on point. The highlight of the meal was the prime rib and the pizza.
The prime rib was super soft and juicy. It came with horseradish sauce and/or chimichurri. The prime rib paired well the breakfast potatoes, which was fried with bell peppers and onions. Their pizza was also fantastic. They offered a supreme pizza, hawaiian pizza, pepperoni and cheese. The dough was sweet and savory, just a little chewy in the center with big crunch on the crust.
I'm very glad I choose to eat here. If you happen to be on Catalina Island on a weekend, give this place a try.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Darrell E.SoMa, San Francisco, CA02Aug 22, 2023
We've been eating at Antonio's at the beach for a decade.
New management (within the last 8-months), & a new ( LIMITED) menu + a new (STERILE) interior and exterior.
THEY HAVE RUINED THIS ONCE CHARMING PLACE!
Do Not...I repeat DO NOT confuse this Antonio's at the beach with the Antonio's Pizzeria 1/2 block off the beach. They even have Gluten-free pizza!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nov 24, 2021
4 stars for the pizza only. We didn't want to eat too much before we boarded our ferry, so we shared the combination pizza. Surprising it was good.
When we walked in we were shocked so see how run down it was. The servers were nice and efficient. But this place needs a clean up. We saw a swarm of flies near the window where we we seated in proximity. Kinda grossed out but we already ordered our food. It's such a shame coz it's a great location with great views. This place has a lot of potential if it's cleaned up and run properly. The restrooms were super dirty and had a lot of flies. I'd rather use the public restrooms by the pier.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Oct 6, 2021
Food here is overpriced but you're paying for a view here. My friend and I got to sit Oceanside and it was beautiful!
The food itself is bland and something I feel like I could whip up myself at home. Overpriced.
Additionally, I felt like the tables outdoors could be better maintained. The tables were covered with a plastic cloth and felt sticky to the touch.
The staff were average. I wish they'd be more attentive.
Also, you can't get water for free here. You pay for a bottle of water.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jun 3, 2021
A great place for breakfast with amazing views of the ocean, boats and casino. The classic songs they played were definitely a plus for nice ambiance.
We came in for a late breakfast. Menu was classic breakfast menu with cocktails. I had a Grey Goose Bloody Mary which was a bit bland to my liking. For food we had two omelets with hash browns, egg plate with bacon, sausage and ham. Also side of pancakes, cottage cheese, fruits and bacon. The food was yummy but a bit bland for my taste too. The service was slow the entire time.
Food and drinks were pricey for what they were. But I liked the outdoor views so I would still like to come back for pizzas next time.Helpful 20Thanks 0Love this 21Oh no 0 - Jorge R.San Fernando Valley, CA330227954Apr 1, 2022
I read some negative reviews about this place. So this is review is based on my own personal experience. We were walking around trying to find a place to eat and came across this pizzeria.
We ordered 1 clam chowder 1 garlic bread. 2 small pizzas and I got the angus burger with 2 cokes. I paid 95 dollars in total. Please be aware that sodas cost 4.50 each. The food was ok can't complaint when we had such a beautiful view of the beach.
Our server was very friendly and got our correct. We will be returning again when we visit the island.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Feb 26, 2021
This is a rustic casual Italian restaurant and pizzeria filled with vintage decorative items that reference Catalina Island's history and the past in general.
We had a takeout small spicy chicken pesto pizza which was very well made and delicious. Thin crust style. Beware - it is spicy and doesn't need any extra red pepper flakes.
Served up in twenty minutes and cooked perfectly.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Jul 13, 2021

Pros:
drinks were large and heavy handed
Cons:
Took FOREVER for someone to come take our order
Food was SALTY
Charged 13 (even though it said 12 on the menu) to add on 5 smallish shrimp.
Inside was stuffy and unairconditioned
Outside was free and in shade, would not allow us to eat outside
Waiting staff never checked in, only to get payment
Would NOT recommend.
Will not be returningHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
