My husband gave me a gift certificate for a facial and he nailed it!!! I am in my late 50's with aging skin and some acne issues. Maggie is amazing. She is very knowledgeable and professional. She asked relevant questions, listened to my concerns and designed the perfect facial for my skin's needs (which also included a pretty awesome neck and shoulder massage!!) There was no pressure to buy products. Instead, she gave me samples of the products she recommended, explained why she chose those particular products and showed me how to use them. I booked my next appointment before I left the salon and I plan to purchase some of the products she recommended. I loved that she is located in a full-service salon and I ended up consulting with a hair and color expert after my facial was done. I will review that stylist separately, but she was just as amazing as Maggie was:) I was surprised to see the bad reviews that were posted here because that was not my experience at all. The entire experience was awesome and Maggie is an excellent aesthetician. I left with rejuvenated skin that still, a few days later, looks better than it did before. I am really looking forward to my next visit. Thank you, Maggie!

Hidden charges!
Got a groupon deal for a 60min facial. The facial was only 50min, not 60min. During my facial Maggie asked me if I want my brows fixed, and I said I didn't care. So she went ahead and did it for me. Not only did she not fix my brows, she also completely messed up my shape and my right brow was significantly lower than my right. WTH? and there was plenty of extra hair that she didn't even remove on my lids.
To add insult to injury, at the end of my facial she says I have to pay her $15 extra for the brows. Really? Oh and the facial was not good at all.
NEVER coming back!Helpful 21Thanks 0Love this 20Oh no 0 - Deborah S.San Francisco, CA01Jun 29, 2018
Be advised the address is not correct, they don't answer the phone, they want you to cancel your appointment 24 hours in advance, but they cancel one hour in advance, not accommodating to Groupon and the website is not helpful.
I bought a facial for my mother as a mother's day present. I made an appointment and they canceled one hour before the scheduled appointment. I rescheduled and they provided a different address that was on the Groupon. On the day of the appointment mother tried to locate the address, but had a hard time because we were given the wrong address. She tried to call the Boutique, yet no one answered the phone. She went to the building where she thought it might be and asked for assistance in a pharmacy. Since, there was no sign for "European Skincare Boutique" or anything indicating facials. A person in the pharmacy led my mom to a place where she thought did facial, but the door was locked. Eventually, they answered the door. My mother expressed her concerns about having a hard time finding the place. The esthetician was not happy and disappeared after my mother came out of the bathroom. After she found the esthetician she was not happy that all we wanted was the facial that was indicated on the Groupon. She made a comment about Americans always wanting a deal. My mother indicated that she may be able to make a better living in Russia. Eventually, she got her facial and it was fine. However, when I went in for my facial, I was refused service and was told my mother was disrespectful. She said I could get my money back from Groupon.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jeanette N.Long Beach, CA041Jan 28, 2017
Had my first facial appointment with Maggie today! Omg! She is wonderful and so gentle. My skin feels amazing and she recommended a treatment that I can do at home in between my facials. And the massage...so relaxing! She also customized a acne treatment for my fiancé! I'm definitely coming back! Thank you Maggie!

Just had my first appointment with Maggie. I am a male with dry skin and acne issues. Maggie quickly identified my issues and concerns and came up with a plan.
After my session, my face felt & looked amazing! I was also offered some free samples of products to try at home before I bought- no pressure. I highly recommend coming here if your face is in need of some rejuvenation. Looking forward to my next visit in four weeks. Thanks Maggie!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - katie S.Huntington Beach, CA017Jun 27, 2019
Okay so I bought a Groupon. From the moment you get in the room it's all about upgrading and paying more money. As soon as she knew I wasn't interested in all her many suggestions, she couldn't get me out of there fast enough. After reading reviews on Maggie, and my experience too, if you don't agree to pay extra, you will get a 30 minute facial of which most of it, she is out of the room. Truthfully, when my 30 minutes was up, I couldn't wait get out of there myself!
She goes through the motions but it is just a glorified wash and moisturizer for 30 minutes from start to finish. She doesn't cover you and your top will get wet, steamed and dirty as she drips all over you. Then she pretends to do a few extractions and a massage. Waste of time and certainly not an $80 facial. I was starting to give her a small tip, don't ask me why, but ended up telling her that I wasn't very pleased, she didn't want my tip and escorted me out. Too bad for the salon she works for, Head to Toez. They are well known and reputable.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Claudia L.Huntington Beach, CA012Feb 24, 2020
I bought a Groupon for this business about 3 weeks ago. I have left multiple voice mails and haven't received any phone call back. I went directly to the two addresses that Groupon has provided me for this business, and none one knows Maggie at any of the two places. I am in the process to cancel my Groupon and get my money back. I think European Skincare Boutique is out of business.

I bought a groupon for a facial and was pleased with Maggie. I have been looking for a new place to get my facials and loved how Maggie left my skin. Maggie not only gives get facials but also has a sweet personality. I felt pampered with Maggie never leaving the room and giving me a wonderful neck massage. My face is still glowing.
I was also interested in a bikini wax and Maggie was very informative and I feel comfortable going back for a wax.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Susan C.Los Angeles, CA09Aug 9, 2018
If anyone wishes to use a groupon for this salon, be advised that European Skincare does not accept groupon on Saturdays. I purchased a groupon for the salon. After that, I called the salon to make an appointment. Before asking for the date of the appointment, I was told that the salon does not accept groupon on Saturdays. That's fine and I understand that. However, that is not one of the exceptions stated by European Skincare in their fine print on the groupon website. I was able to cancel the appointment without the cost of a penalty, which was nice. I think the fine print should clearly state all of the exceptions.
