The best Los Banos has to offer. It's one of two restaurant with historic significants to the area. The food is good, the chips and salsa are very good.

The menu as you might expect is largly mexican dishes, but steaks and burgers are available also.

e pizza handmade and delivered by the chef. You can't beat that.

Service. they have some great ones, however Cassidy has made my many different dinners especially comfortable.

It's warming up, so I'll probably be making my way back to the ambience of it all on the sunny patio.

I'm still shocked over the pizza however. That was a pleasant surprise.

I'm closing with its always a great time to be there. Dr.CXF

What is there not to love. Lofty and cool space fashioned after a grand Mexican hacienda. Amazingly welcoming staff. A giant fountain creating soothing white noise in the sprawling dining area designed for big groups of families sharing sizzling plates of ajitas. A vibrant (read loud and lively) bar with locals cheering on their favorite teams, and a beautiful patio with a brick-oven for pizzas. With ambiance taken into consideration, this place is A-ok. They get the extra star for their complementary, never ending chips and salsa, and their massive portions of food. The chimichanga (succulent meat), shrimp enchiladas (overflowing with...like...a shocking amount of shrimp) and even their simple tacos were bursting at the seems with perfectly cooked beef.

The giant sign off the highway might be screaming 'tourist trap' but for locals of Los Banos, they know the Espana is a legit spot. And while the Central Valley has no shortage of good Mexican food, it's nice to know there's a venue large enough to fit the whole family and with a menu that will never disappoint! Also, don't sleep on the massive margaritas!

Lovely old building, enjoyed reading the history of the place. Too bad it's no longer an inn. The food was great! Had lettuce wraps and garlic prawns to share. The service was slow and they never refilled our water. It was a beautiful day to sit on the patio. The menu looked very tempting, we will return for dinner when we are in the area.

First time at Espana's, very well served plates. We ordered different plates involving New York steak, ribeye and lobster. They were also served with carrots, fried jalapeño's, smashed potatoes, salad and carrots (depending on the plate). The Cadillac margarita was very refreshing. And our server Melissa was very attentive, and checked in on us frequently. She made our experience 10x better!

Really good food. The Asada lettuce wraps were fresh & tasty. Tortilla chips were just so so.

Found this place on Yelp for lunch stop during road trip. Prices are reasonable & it is a cool historic building. Service from Daniel was wonderful & our meals didn't take long to arrive. Nice patio too. Take the extra 10 minutes off the fwy to hit up this place, way better than fast food for lunch.
