What a cute little bakery!!! As a previous home-based bakery owner, I love visiting these little bakeries that are monetizing their passion!

It's located in store #65; it's in the back of the first set of building of the plaza. There are maps throughout, so just follow accordingly.

As soon as you get to the right side of the right building, you will know you have found it because you will smell the delicious baked goods from fifty feet away.

The inside is definitely not your typical high end fancy bakery with the accent flood lights. As a matter of fact, it was really dim in there when we visited. The Hungarian lady was very down to business but very willing to explain what kind of goodies are available for the day.

You can tell from the goodies that these are homemade recipes and not commercialized, which is my personal favorite. I had a small chocolate chip cookie and the some strudel and they were both really good and not too sweet. I wish I had gotten the big cookie instead of the small one.

I definitely recommend coming here to smell the delicious baked goods and get something to try because I will definitely come back when I am in the neighborhood again!

If you are anywhere nearby, you MUsT come here! Flavors rivaling my favorites in Germany - for a family of 4 we bought cherry strudel, apple strudel, gingerbread cookie, 3 little coffee chocolate rectangular things, a Florentine, and a piece of MOHNKUCHEN rivaling that of my favorites in Berlin - everything was so crazy fresh and delicious that we couldn't tell you what our favorite one was - except me - MOHNKUCHEN! We didn't get there until 11am - late morning - selection had been thinned out but still plenty to savor - I think if we went in the morning we would have had an even harder time selecting our items. Seriously. If you are in Incline Village, or even Tahoe Vista, like we were, give them a try! You will not be sorry!

Ernies The Best! Maria is fantastic Hungarian Lady. Always good times here!

My good friends at Ernie's have always provided good times when I visit which is often. We not only enjoy the fine bakery items we chat like old friends and discuss the current events. You might be able to make some cookies yourself but why since Ernie's are always made fresh and full of Love every time. Come and enjoy the good company and worlds best pastries! @

Love me some Ernie's. You could live in Incline for years and not know this place existed because it has absolutely no signage on Country Club Drive. You have to pull into the shopping center and drive around behind Tomaato's to find Ernie and his haven of cakes and pastries.

There are some WTF items in the glass counter (like the green alien cookies) but everything I've tried tastes amazing.

The only odd thing is that Ernie uses a sliding scale of pricing, as no prices are listed. He seems to prefer girls; if I send my husband to buy two strudel and a cinnamon bun, it's $7, but if I go myself, it's magically $4. In other words, every day is Ladies' Night at Ernie's.

Add my voice to the round of praise for Ernie's.
We were eating at Mountain High Sandwich Co. ( which is very good) when I decided I'd like to buy some bakery goods. Looked on Yelp and found Ernie's was in the same plaza. Must have been destined!
I read on Yelp that they have great apple strudel. It's true. The pastry is flaky and the apple filling quite tasty. It is not the best I've ever had - that was in Austria- but it definitely is yummy. My husband liked the cherry strudel because he prefers cherries to apples.
I bought some cookies as kind of an aside, but in my opinion, my cookie was the star. I don't remember what it was called, but it's kind of a shortbread with walnuts and covered in powder sugar, and boy, was it delicious!
As she was packing my selections, the lady who runs the shop opened a box and said "peanut butter cookies". Well, my younger son is not a big sweets person, but he does like peanut butter cookies, so I bought him one. It was pretty small, but he enjoyed the treat.
How good is Ernie's International Pastries? I'll put it this way- I am staying in Kings Beach, and I am considering driving to Incline Village for the 2nd time today, just to get more cookies!

Bummed closer during normal business hours with a note on the door saying they'd be back the next day. Tons of delicious looking cakes in the cooler too. Only go up 2x a year. Was looking forward to it. BUMMER CLOSED FOREVER!!'

We finally found this place. What a dump! If this place has ever been cleaned it must have been years ago. The lady that was working could barely speak or understand English.
I will warn anybody against buying any food here.

Little gem tucked away in the back of a shopping center/condo residence.

So worth getting a tiny bit lost looking for this. Thanks to the good reviews this place received on google maps, we were able to choose this place during our drive around the lake.

We entered seeing an older gentleman and a woman playing a chess game in a very cozy shop. They greeted us with a great smile and european style pastries.

They were priced good considering the size and superb quality.

      We bought an assortment. Yuuuuummm!

The older gentleman chuckled when I came back in and said we need a new box, because the one we just got didn't make it out of the parking lot!

Highly recommend the florentiner cookies and eclairs!

Absolutely delicious pastries, all homemade by the owner. Best apple strudel I've ever had!
She opens at 10am- not 8am. And only accepts cash or check.
